From what I saw, the movement looked pretty good.  Worrying about preseason results is pretty dumb.  Watching how the players move... that stuff can't be taught.  There was no scheme or strategy today.  90% of the players aren't going to make the team, half probably won't ever play football again.  DeJean was fine.. more than fine watching his movement.  The future looks bright for sure... who gives a crap about where he plays right away?  That;s not why we drafted him.

DeJean is also a TD guy. I'll wait to evaluate him after seeing him play with other talented players.

DeJean has good size, fast, good ball skills and excellent with the ball in his hands. Maddox is real quick and twitchy plays aggressive. Maddox has been real strong playing the Slot. That’s what I’ve seen. Problem is you just can’t rely on him to suit up consistently. Plus he’s smaller.

Yeah Q doesn’t do whatever…like move to the Slot for team need. DeJean isn’t some cool kid. He’s a goofy Iowa kid. I really like him for that.

Glad the team took Q with our first round pick. Best CB on the team that’s going to make a difference. Already been battling one v one against AJ and Smitty. DeJean still trying to figure out covering third stringers. He’ll get there. Just needs to figure out his role for Fangio. First thing everybody says about DeJean is he’s versatile. But what we need is a guy that can play a position very well. I’ll be disappointed if he’s just decent at multiple positions. I see things as Q, Ringo and him teaming up for years to come for us. LOCKING THINGS DOWN!!!!!

Would like to tap into that versatility of DeJean in Fangio’s D. Let Fangio disguise some coverages and roll his Secondary. Blankenship looks to capable of playing deep and in the box. CGJ can play FS and Slot. Fangio can use all this to complicate opponents reads on the situations. A Win/Win for us.

There was an interview with Covey laughing about DeJean with that. Feels like the two have been matching up against each other a fair amount and become friends. Covey talks about how goofy Coop is…but it’s in a way you can tell the two are friends and with respect.

So we should start hearing about cuts

Maybe we could have DeJean play LB in Dime

Sure he is cool. He is calm,collected,smart,will study the game every second he gets and wants to play every snap. he is responsible,understand he has ALOT to learn and is willing to put the time in If you call that goofy, then you are goofy. That's exactly the type players I want

DeJean can't do anything because he is "goofy". He also lost the weeks Q has had to practice. Yesterday was his FIRST football contact outside a few days to KIND OF work in camp. You are quick to judge a kid like this. Leave him ALONE. He is the "new kid in class"

That's good strategy.   But the comedy level of " I've always liked Gainwell " will never be topped. 

I thought DeJean looked pretty good movement wise.. A Smith im not seeing it...but I also saw him catch everything... which was odd as I was expecting to see a quick twitch athlete that had issues catching the ball?
