One better than last year? Yeah I see that. Bark should have a banner year, much better than Swift and he has a bone to pick when we play the Gnats LOL

Swift played very well last season.

For me having that starting third WR makes a difference.

Why can't we win now? I love our team. We're gonna kick some A

Just pointing out depends on whom you are discussing trading. And if we get players in return to help out now..versus picks don’t help win now in trade return.

DeJean can play somewhere well

They’re saying now our astronauts will be stuck in space for another six months

I didn’t think DeJean looked good. Didn’t have tight coverage. Wasn’t ready for the ball to be snapped. Bad reactions to the run. But at least he’s back, healthy and can start improving. That’s why I thought it was important for him to play this final PS game. The kid needed it. It’s a starting point for him.

Yes. Most importantly something - actual game play - experience to remove the jitters. Imagine the anxiety of getting injured before learning a new, a pro system before you get to play in a single game. Have to stay in rehab and classroom work not being able to interact with your teammates in an actual game scenario. I'm sure he was a ball of fire in his first game just itching to hit someone…the hunger to make a big play.

So we're down to TE2 and the RG position that needs to be decided

I think it's already been decided. Calcaterra and Becton, respectively.

I forget what happened to Stoll?

We now have excess secondary when we have always lacked there, you can't see a trade for say a better LB?

LB and/or a trade for TE2. I'm not thrilled with Calcaterra, but to the present I believe he's been penciled in.

After earning three straight Pro Bowl nods from 2017-2019, injuries derailed Brooks' career. He suffered a shoulder injury that forced him to miss the 2019 postseason. In June 2020, a torn Achilles wiped out his entire season. Finally, in Week 2, 2021, Brooks suffered a pectoral strain and was placed on IR.

The persistent injuries led the stud guard to walk away after a decade.

"It's something I wrestled with since really last offseason," Brooks said. "I think in this game, although I'm a young man in the game of life, I'm older now at 32, I think my body is trying to tell me through these injuries that, can I still play? The answer is yes. But the answer also is, can I hold up? After all these injuries, I just realized that, at what point do you listen to your body? I think my body was just telling me I had to make a decision. At this point in time I think it's the right decision."

This was my understanding of why Brandon Brooks retired at a fairly normal NFL retirement age. Not about what No Mas described as because of mental health issues that we financially paid him for suffering. The shoulder injury, torn Achilles and pectoral strain. Actual persistent and unrelenting physical body injuries combining with age at 32.

Brooks felt his body could no longer holdup and sustain his NFL career at 32.

Brooks signed a four-year, $54.2 million extension in November 2019 that at the time made him the highest-paid guard in football. Since the extension, however, injuries relegated Brooks to just nine games.

Going to start…and looking good deserving to start is the difference I think the assessment  is discussing. But much more than just those two Oline already showing well in Dallas from this draft.

The regular season will tell the story... " looking good" is all matter of opinion.

Pretty much need evidence to the contrary of your doubting the cowboys draft. They do it almost every season. I thought some of these guys would take more time and need more development than they’re showing so far though.

Everything matters some. It matters whether any of them will get on the field in any games here. With Ainias think it matters whether he should even dress on Gameday or not. Do you believe guys develop quicker by actually playing? If so…then it matters. Is it everything..writing the script on their whole careers? Of course not. But this is how their NFL careers will begin.

Corey Clement did pretty well at the end of his rookie season... there is more time between now and the end of the season than going back from now to the draft.   And there is only one bye week, it's all football from here.  Real stuff, not the OTA drills, vanilla scheme preseason.... now is when the players can advance being in the real situation.

Yes... pretty much need evidence of any rookie either way.... during the real games.

Being in the real situation? You mean being in real games? That they won’t be in.

Some guys seem to click and work out in their second season. Some later than that. Some never do.

I mean Ainias was having such a bad start he was on the roster bubble. That obviously matters. Think the fact he’s improving also matters.

Clement was on the roster bubble.. did great when  needed.

See difference between me and you.. the start comes in Brazil.   The real start.  You worry too much about the fluff of the preseason.   None of that matters much from this point forward.

So in Brazil if Ainias doesn’t dress on Gameday….it doesn’t matter?

You believe in a master plan... you really think A Smith and the other rookie Wilson were on a roster bubble... in the master plan?

Especially with the new PS rules ?

Or if he didn’t finally start stepping up and didn’t even make the team…that wouldn’t have mattered?

If KC loses game 1.... like last year.... are you saying it's all over for them?

I mean the all important game 1 as the end all be all?

Nobody is talking about that. What does that have to do with Ainias?

I believe players develop more quickly by gaining opportunity. Much more difficult to become some larger factor without even dressing on Gameday.
