Pretty obvious how you intentionally leave out the last part of the quote for your agenda. But Gainwell earned the second string job this year.

Pretty obvious when you mention 3 other guys. . A day 3 pick and an undrafted guy... that you don't like Gainwell as a #3.

But uh no..,I liked our RB draft pick. Liked our competition at RB this offseason.

2 guys that never played an NFL down ...already looking forward to seeing them.....over " Siri's boy" Gainwell.

So is there a chance Shipley can take over the #2 spot this year?

In a scenario of only keeping three RBs I see value in potentially keeping two backup RBs that compliment each others skill sets by bringing different things to the table. Like McKinnon and Edwards-Helaire did for the Chiefs.

I liked the pick and like the competition for RB 4 between the other guys too.

According to you never was a chance before week one at least. Gainwell is All Pro backup that never could have been challenged in a new O scheme he hasn’t run before.

Yes....so you don't like Gainwell over rookie day 3 pick and undrafted guy. He isn't in that top 3.  Couldn't make top 3 over 2 guys valued so late that never played an NFL down.

That's how much you like Gainwell.

Gainwell stepped up. Shipley wasn’t ready enough to supplant that.

Did I say that Shipley couldn't take over more snaps than Gainwell by the end of the year. I clearly said that it's possible...just that it wasn't going to happen week 1.

But do you think it's possible Shipley moves up past Gainwell?

You’re missing the whole point of having RBs that have different skill sets for different purposes. McKinnon played on passing downs. Edwards-Helaire the pure rusher. Neither was clear cut second or third string. They were specialists that played in those scenarios.

Yes...for the #2.  Had nothing to so with the competition for #4.

Do you roster  your top five X WRs? Or do you need guys to play the Z land the Slot also? Do you want all slow tall WRs? On and on..,

You are missing the point of you going out of your way multiple times to say you were looking forward to 2 guys ...a day 3 pick and an undrafted guy ...both who never took an NFL snap be in the top 3 over Gainwell.

So two unproven rookies valued so low...you were saying were better than Gainwell.

Can Shipley take over the #2 RB spot by the end of the year?

4th time I'll ask...can Shipley take over the #2 spo by the end of the year?

5th time..direct simple question...involves a yes its possible or no its not possible answer. It's not a prediction question... just if it's possible.. which my answer is yes.

Can Shipley take over the #2 RB spot by the end of the year

I just said watch out it’s possible even in the first place…if we only kept 3 RBs. Shipley the more dynamic pass catching RB and Milton the physical more pyre rushing back.

Gainwell stepped up and earned the second string spot. Milton might not even make the team. We probably keep four RBs. So none of that scenario was happening. If that makes you gloriously happy for me to say? It was a very long shot scenario obviously all along.

Can Shipley be the #2 by the end of the year...possible?  Yes or no ?

I think Shipley is more dynamic and I like better yes. But the whole thing was only keeping three that third should be differing talent that could bring that physical rushing for those situations. Not so cut and dry about Gainwell wasn’t third best in a vacuum…or was overall better than the guy I mentioned as the complimentary differing option. If Shipley won the second string job…then having the only other RB on the roster being a physical pure rushing style back as the thought and idea. I see how you are confused. But doesn’t necessarily make the third string better than Gainwell…just different traits than the second stringer. You know…building a roster stuff…in OTAs.

He could be the starter..so of course.

7th time just looking for a yes or no answer to a simple question.  Is it possible for Shipley to be the #2 by the end if the year?

So you agree with me....it's possible that Shipley cam move up ...be promoted to #2 with some time to get  acclimated.

Does Gainwell need to get injured for Shipley to be promoted to #2 by the end of the year?

Sure I’ll play along. Shipley could be promoted. Or move up because of injuries.
