And let's not forget Tom Brady wasn't always part of any " master plan" it took an injury to get pick 199 to get on the field. 

But ...that " master plan" point aside... we both agree it's possible Shipley can move up simply because he could pass Gainwell in time. Right?

Sorry I’m back… didn’t know you needed me to play along even further for you to make your brilliant upcoming point. Why yes No Mas Shipley could be promoted to second string this season.

So it's possible that Shipley... a day 3 pick can get ahead of "Siri's boy....the guy forced upon us with those 4 carries a game" 

I agree... 

So why then isn't it possible for A Smith to get on a game day roster by the end of the season.... let's say over a Covey?  A guy that is obviously not " Siri’s boy,  who it seems as you have mentioned the team has clearly not had confidence as a WR? 

Let alone any of the other guys....Campbell or Ross?

But A Smith can't ?

Wouldn’t Shipley be very likely to dress on Gameday? Wouldn’t he be likely to get on the field in some capacity quicker? Wouldn’t Shipley be likely to touch the ball sooner? All these advantages as you say "during the real games” gives a huge advantage and opportunity to rise. Much more than sitting in a classroom going over film.

There will be the game day WRs in Brazil for game 1.  Am I to believe it's not possible for A Smith to beat out one of them to get into a game this season at some point....without an injury.

If Campbell or Ross dress... No shot A Smith couldn't be in a game plan over them by the end of the season for a few plays?

Wouldn't Shipley have to surpass a " coach's boy 3 year vet" compared to say a Paris Campbell or a John Ross or a Covey?

That's totally impossible because he wouldn't be getting any game action first?  So it's a lock whoever the game day WRs are in Brazil will never change without injury?

To beat out Covey he’d have to beat him as a returner and WR

 I don’t even know if Campbell or Ross will dress on Gameday either.

Without injury or a player totally sucking…it’s hard to supplant them without even dressing on gamedays. Much less without getting touches on gamedays.

Not like there will be tons of opportunities to show how well a guy can break tackles in nontackling  light practices during the season

Right... we don't know any of these things.  Correct.   But all are possible.   Probably more in favor of A Smith getting in a game than Shipley moving up to #2....being Gainwell has earned the backup....and also Siri’s boy. 

And lets also look at injury.... Shipley needs specifically just Gainwell to get injured to move ahead of him...A Smith could have any WR get injured to be forced to go play one out of 17 games.

Shipley will dress and play in games though. Get touches first. (Just assumptions here.)

Don’t agree with this statement …but ok Ainias could dress this season. He could even play. Maybe even touch the ball. I don’t know. I thought he did pretty good on one play in this final PS game. Little short YAC creation pass. Got like 7 yards. Nothing huge but he did that.

So you don't expect A Smith to play a snap this season.   It would take a miracle for him to dress ? I mean....that would be awesome knowing that all our WRs are going to be healthy for 17 games.   But very unexpected.  Also you would assume ...if his talent of YAC creation is truly there... which I didn't really see myself, but you brought up the injury... then I expect them to want to get that on the field as a wrinkle in the offense at some point.  

We aren't talking starter.... very possible they like a certain matchup one week down the road with him.

Idk...how many WRs have we seen in the final spot during game days as compared to RBs being promoted over a guy that really earned his spot?

Musical chairs at the final WR spot we have seen plenty.    I said a few snaps running motion and screens.... not even needing to touch the ball .. you make it sound so impossible...such a long road to hoe

Hes down on the depth chart list…even with these YAC Creation plays. But he has questionable durability himself. He needs to develop his NFL body much more…like many rookies. Will he even be available when the opportunity arises? Coin flip…I don’t know.
