Wow.... well... this is why its difficult to have a conversation with you.  You deny stuff that was obvious afterwards and pretend like it never happened.   Like when my son hit his sister right in front of me... " I didn't do it"   lol

Whatever works for you my man.   Go 49ers!

Yeah I’d see it all exactly the opposite. You endlessly deny what obviously takes place. I haven’t seen much of anything suggesting Aiyuck was ready to ever sign.

All the evidence I’ve been seeing has suggested Aiyuck has been in it to play hard ball all the way. It’s seemed like he just wasn’t going to sign up until TC was over.

Ok... so basically you are going to do the usual and make me have to waste time to find these ... ok.  I;ll do it.

But hey... what do all these different media thigns saying the same thing know.... especially when they use the time line and the logic.    Nobody has the inside scoop like Ham.

He knows no shot that $26 or 27 mil per offer back in April would have gotten a deal done?    He just knows it.

I agree100%... I agree that Aiyuk took the deal that was offered on August 10th.   You however, are ignorant in denying all the conversation that we were having all spring... and that $26 or 27 mil per offer back then wouldn't have gotten it done.   I'll go find more stuff... where there was a clear low offer reported.

The 49ers have made it a pattern to drag out negotiations as long as possible. They've done this with George Kittle, Fred Warner, Deebo Samuel, Nick Bosa and now Aiyuk. As players learn the 49ers' tendencies, they've realized that if they're patient, they'll get everything they want. And they'll get to miss training camp, too. Call that an added bonus.

The 49ers need to update their negotiation strategy.

Agree... don't judge a GM by one offseason.... this is a perfect example.

Clearly the Niners were batting around some trade offers instead of ponying up for Aiyuck.  They thought they could maybe get Amari Cooper and draft picks. I mean even at 30 mil Aiyuck was still playing hard ball and not signing. The guy was clearly going to the mat for the long haul expecting and knowing it would pay off.

Incredibly, Aiyuk’s wide receiver coach and former NFL receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh told San Francisco exactly what it had to offer to get the wideout to sign on the dotted line almost three months ago: "If the 49ers want to get B.A. signed, give him the Amon-Ra deal,” Houshmandzadeh told 95.7 The Game in early June. "I guarantee he'd be in there tomorrow. They don't want to do that. … If they'd offered him Amon-Ra's deal, he would be in camp."

On Thursday, San Francisco tried to save face on another failed negotiation with a media blitz framing the whole thing as Aiyuk somehow caving — when really the Niners have been the ones spelunking their way through two straight offseas

Most players really would just love to miss TC. Several have shown they wouldn’t  even consider signing before then with any team.

Amon-Ra St. Brown signed a four-year, $120 million contract with Detroit on April 24, which, oh look, is exactly the same deal Aiyuk signed on Thursday.

Yes…you go by the last five years record and that’s where the Niners are way ahead of us. Kind of hard to bag on the guy that stole and paid huge money to our big DT pass rusher. Their window is clearly down to it here. They’re a win now team that’s ’All In!’

The deal he waited weeks to agree to after even that was offered

San Francisco knew in June what it would take to get the deal done, and after months of ugly, team-distracting discourse, offered exactly that deal. In the process, they sacrificed Aiyuk’s entire camp, which Bosa will be the first to tell you is a big deal — he said last October that his holdout limited his production "a little bit” in the early parts of a subpar start to the season.

Uhh.. in my calendar... April comes 4 months prior to August.... but congrats... August 10th ...lol

But in this negotiation, with a stubborn wide receiver that the 49ers absolutely could not afford to lose, things got off-line fast and never got on-line until the very end of this. And the logical offer they could’ve made in April wasn’t made until Aug. 13, let’s point that out.

Niners are…4 of the last 5 years put together a team that was in the NFC Championship game. Getting high grade coaches and players together. Heck they even fired their SB DC to improve on that. You blame our QB when we didn’t have anywhere near the personnel or coaching. Desai isn’t near the same class as Wilks. But they looked to upgrade even over him. Did Lynch fire Shannahan because he’s too good and deserves a voice? A HC that isn’t just around to be a puppet? Our GM couldn’t even handle Pedey with Schwartz.  A quality HC just can’t be accepted here. Our GMs ego has to trump everything else.

The Niners.... messed up a bunch of contracts by waiting.    Again.... once you have the player.... doing the contract is a separate thing.  ON an island by itself.   That part ... the 49ers are not good.

But congrats for matching up against Dallas and the blizzard in Green Bay.

What evidence is there he would have signed anything in April? I really don’t remember exactly when the Jefferson deal was…but it was the very known benchmark WR market moment. But what we know is for weeks he won’t even sign for 30 mil per.  But according to …not much evidence he would have jumped to sign for 26 mil or whatever lesser amount.

Weren’t they just in the SB like I was explaining to you and you kept completely being in denial about last offseason?

So when was Jefferson signed? I don’t even feel like looking it up.

I thought Jefferson was after The Sun God.

Again.... I'll say it one more time.

writing contracts is a totally separate thing ... on an island by itself.

Again I’ll point out how I don’t agree but especially trying to seperate it from player choice. Think that’s what started getting into Lynch thinking…was he could get Amari Cooper and draft pick and let Browns sign Aiyuck. With as many teams as were rumored to be interested in Aiyuck services I’m sure there  were several other interesting trade possibilities.
