In the college schedule. There no teams in ANY country that can play NFL football. Please, were lucky to get Mailata. you think a foreign country can come up with 53 of the needed players?. Or maybe they can challenge the Grey cup winner in Canada

A team in Argentina let’s say doesn’t need to just field Argentine players. This isn’t the Olympics. Let them start like four weeks later after the NFL season here starts. So then any players that don’t make teams go to basically what becomes a farm system. Then once you get all these people on other countries hooked on the sport..,more and more of them will begin to develop players for the sport.

A team can have 8 players return from IR.  What makes you think Bradberry will be one of those guys?   Nothing used up yet until he would come off of IR.

We can trade him , cut him or keep him on IR....he doesn't have to be one of the guys we bring back from IR.

You can designate 8 players on IR to possibly return. Bradberry takes up that third spot.

Awesome that football is back

Rosie tried to claim the Niners cut CB but he was snagged by the Colts being higher on waiver order. Seems like an odd move to make for our team. CB just didn’t seem like the area we should be looking to add to the 53 man roster.

So the "farmers" are taking on the NFL champs? would you watch that slaughter? International playoff game. Eagles vs the Soggy Bottom Boys?

Bradberry takes up no spot.... UNTIL HE RETURNS TO THE 53 MAN ROSTER.     Why do you assume he will return to the 53 man roster?

I believe Ham is talking about them having a league there.   A league, not a division or conference that plays in the NFL.   A separate league.

Things don’t get put together overnight.

Everybody keeps saying he’s been labeled Designated to Return on IR. You only get eight of the spots regardless of whether we can activate them or not.

Three open spots on the PS with Burks being called up to the 53.

Tuipolotu was the one cut for Byron Young

What is the new IR rule in the NFL?

In plain words, the new rule allows teams the ability to place two players on injured reserve at the roster cutdown deadline to return during the season. That has not been the case in the past with the NFL; if a player went on injured reserve before the active 53-man roster is set, he was out for the season.Aug 6, 2024

Can you go on IR twice in NFL?

The same player can return from IR twice during a season, but that would count as two of the maximum ten returns. Once a player goes on IR, he has to sit out four games before being eligible to return to the active roster.Jun 21, 2024

While each player may be designated for return twice a season, a team is allowed just eight returns from IR during the regular season. In the latest adjustment to the rule, a team appearing in the postseason will be allowed 10 returns that year.Jun 21, 2024

After four games, a player may be designated to return, which opens a 21-day window during which they can attend practices but are still not counted on the active roster. If they are not activated to the roster during this period, they must remain on IR for the rest of the season.

You don't " designate a player to return"  as you put him on IR.    There is no separate " designated to return" IR list

After the player has been on IR for 4 weeks, he then is allowed to be designated to return, but he doesn't have to be.   Nobody has taken up any of the 8 or 10 designated to return spots.... until they have been actually designated to return.      Right now we have used ZERO or any returns yet, because nobody has been designated to return yet. .. we just have guys on IR.

You can still stash them there... we could still trade Bradberry... or cut him... or any of the other 2 guys if we wanted.   At the moment... we have ZERO designated to returns used for 2024.

Currently 8 spots ... once we officially make the playoffs, then another 2 spots open up.   But ZERO used.

Oren Burks took his spot LB/ST

That’s what I was hoping for based on his preseason play. He’s a real LB.

No, he said he wanted their champ of said league to somehow fit into the NFL playoffs

So 2 extra call ups if you make the playoffs

A player designated for return from the Reserve/Injured List or the Reserve/Non-Football Injury/Illness List is eligible to return to practice or the Active/Inactive List after four games have elapsed since the date he was placed on the applicable Reserve List.

straight from NFL rules

Yes... idk if I would label it a " call up" ? Call up seems more from a practice squad.     2 extra " activations"  or " returns " probably a better label.

But yeah, they will allow the playoff teams to have 2 more IR moves... as far as allowing them back.

Where is this " applicable " to return list?   It's IR.

There is no limit to being placed on IR.

There are 2 restrictions that matter.

There are some placed on IR that aren't going to return because they were placed on IR before the cut down day.

Anyone after that is allowed to return.

So out of these guys... the 3 that we have on IR... they can return if possible...if we desire.  But they don't take up a spot in the sense we can only put 5 more guys on IR...we could put more than that.

We could put another  9 guys on IR....have 8 of them return..and none of the current 3 we have on IR have to be the ones designated to return.

They take up no spots...until the team designates them to return

You have to be on PUP by a certain date... which is basically IR before everything starts.

If you get injured after that date... but before the final roster date... then the original rules were that you were ineligible to return.   Because they didn't want you to stash guys without having them make the team first.

Once the 53 was set....then anyone going on IR is eligible to return.

Now they just let teams add 2 guys at the deadline...so it gives them an opportunity to come back instead of having to sit out the year.

The guys on PUP can always come back, because they were injured before the start.   I believe it's a date right around the start of camp that is the deadline.
