I’m not hammering Hurts on being stuck on the endzone line facing a dominating bull rush up the gut…,throwing that interception. It wasn’t good. But got football starting back again. No more red don’t touch me jersey. Now that second interception was pretty silly. Directing AJ over to throw him a jump ball. AJ slipped. But still a poor decision. The first interception was bad. No excuse. 5th year.
September 9, 20242 yr Lots of people saying how good the Cowboys looked I'm thinking the Browns looked just that bad and Watson has lost it. At least for the time being

Heck Hurts hadn’t even been touched yet. Then immediately first snaps are backed up on the goaline. Anyway….no biggie. First week usually is pretty bad by most. Plenty of positives to walk out and build on.

At least for the time being Deshaun was a top five QB. Just crazy with his unbelievable talents he can’t right the ship. He’s fast….got a big arm. He’s just gotta figure things out.

After 5 years in the pros, should know better. I really think Hurts panics. I think this because in college he was so accustomed to being able to run away from most of the rush with ease. Not so easy in the NFL. If you’re talking about the first one…he couldn’t just throw it away. He was in the pocket…in the endzone. That’s a safety.

There is plenty of ways to get rid of the ball while in the pocket all he has to do is throw in the direction of any other WR not the guy in the middle of the field covered by 3 guys
September 9, 20242 yr But the bigger issue is Hurts is keep up with the trend of turning the ball over from last year. 17 ints in his last like 18 games and that not even mentioning fumbles. It’s not time to hit the panic button but should definitely be a concern turnovers are killers and we have just not been good at protecting the ball.

But he couldn’t just blatantly throw it away under heavy duress. He was in the pocket….in the endzone.

Two fumbles weren’t on him in view. First game they are still working out the bugs with each other Cam and Jalen. First interception like I said is pretty meaningless. First time he took off the ‘you can’t touch me jersey.’ Immediately had to deal with DT up in his grill. He’s getting back to playing some football. The second one was some backyard street ball stuff. He can’t do that stuff. Funny thing though if AJ doesn’t slip….he might have just come down with the TD. Most likely wouldn’t let the defender come down with….

Yeah... how about we look at the other 3 opening games where Hurts started for Siri... why no brutal decisions in those games?

This is why Ham makes it about the whole team...because for him the whole team is Hurts. Which player were there reports of having issues with Siri? I've only heard just one. Have you heard anything else??? The reason people doubt the Eagles...is the QB. If we listen honestly to what people are saying... that would be evident.

Thought they could have fed him a YAC Creation play or two. But need to get him involved quickly here.

Was there fear on the throw across the field...IMO the dumbest decision of the game.... where it should have been a pick 6 on the play Dotson was targeted .... right before the pick 6?

Both just gave eye rolls when Siri was just yelling at his own guys for no reason at the end of the giants game.

Lmao the excuses for the 1st int is insane him not playing had zero to do with that int…. You don’t have to play a game to be able to see 3 guys covering your WR. That not meaningless than questioning his decision making. Next I 100% agree the fumble was on Jurguens which I stated during the game when I defended him. 3rd the fact your defense of Hurts is that AJ likely wouldn’t have let the QBs bad decision get picked off is a problem. Hurts almost had an int on the final drive as well that if not for AJ playing great defense would have sealed the game for us. Throws being off, timing being off those things I 100% can get behind him knocking off the rust but not the mental side of the game not the just bad decisions
September 9, 20242 yr But again it isn’t about one game Hurts had 15 ints last season I was questioning the turnovers then but ham with his 100s of excuses didn’t want to accept them had to blame everyone and thing else. Week 1 another two turns over that were done right bad by Hurts 17 interceptions in his last 18 games play is there a QB with more ints in that span then Hurts?
