Yeah now we have to stay healthy for 12 weeks. Not really complicated

You get one bye.....you hope it comes at a time when you need to regroup and get healthy...it did for us.

One for one....that's it.    Worked out great for us.    Perfectly for us.

The need to stay healthy for 5, 6, 7 , 8 , 9, 10, 11 or 12 weeks is irrelevant.   Doesn't matter the #...  does it?  There is always another chance that your guys can get hurt.

The bye comes at a great time because we are injured now...we don't have to keep playing.  Coming off the disaster of a game... concussions can be recovered... DeJean can get extra time to study and take over the slot CB...  AJ gets an extra week to heal a hamstring, Becton has that finger injury that can heal...and Sydney Brown misses one less game.

Not to mention coming off two weeks of travel and all those guys getting cramps in the 100 degree weather.

This was needed EXACTLY now!    Not complicated.  Our one bye came at a perfect time.

On top of that...we saw how it snowballed last year after the Bills game wore down our defense.  We avoid that this year. Perfect timing.

No it's not,if both WR's go down again we can kiss this season goodbye. Hardly irrelevant and not complicated. Now everyone will play a bit more pulled back because we can't afford more injuries for 12 weeks

Or the collapse begins earlier this year than last. We don't get another chance to regroup

Right... they go down and it doesn't matter how many weeks are left does it?   We got a bye week just in time for both to come back and not miss another game.

Nice comeback and OT win by ATL. It was an entertaining game

Right we don't get a bye week 10 and 15,we have to go the distance now

Every team only gets one bye!

You want that one bye to come at a time you need it.  We need it now.

We may or may not need it in the future.   It's a known now.  The future is unknown

It came at a great time.

Here is another one for you... look at our next opponents... Browns, Giants, Bengals,  Jaguars....  None of them will have their bye weeks until after they play us.

Don't you see that as a huge advantage for us... we are fresh of bye, Cleveland coming here to play their 6th game in a row..   then the Giants to play their 7th in a row... then Cincy plays their 8th in a row...Jax plays their 9th in a row.

That stuff has cumulative effect...just the opposite of last year when we were cooked after Buffalo and kept playing teams that had extra rest.

Even the week 10 matchup with Dallas.... they have bye week 7 but travel weeks 8 and 9.

You normally want a bye later because you figure after 4 weeks you aren’t banged up yet... but we are now.

You also want to regroup and fix things... normally you would want more games to assess...but we have obvious problems to fix now.

Imo ... if we get healthy and go on  roll, I don't want to have another break later.  I'd rather keep playing.

The worst to me is going into a bye healthy and in a rhythm... at that point you want to keep playing.   This is a great time for a time out.

On a non football note.... I figured you " older " fans....notice I didn't say old, just older...    you would appreciate Stevie singing on the next Christmas album with our Eagles.

Sure,it's always great when you get a bye after injuries, but like time outs,we are out of them

Nick Chubb should be 100% when they play us. 6,8,10 games in a row,the players matter,so the bye week point is moot for Cleveland. NOW if AJ goes down we could face 2,3,4 weeks with a trash offense since apparently Hurts cannot function without his friend,so the point is to stay healthy, not what bye week you have. We have to stay healthy now for 12 weeks in a row and hopefully post season. I'm glad we have the bye to get healthy, but we can't afford for anyone to get hurt for 12+ weeks and we know who the key players those are. If we don't fix our issues this week then it's going to be a hard row to hoe

IDK seems to me this offense doesn't look like a Moore offense to me. it looks the same as last years lame offense under Siri. I'm waiting for the explosive part and I don't see it. Bark is the offense at this point and that needs to change starting week 6. I don't see the drive or the fortitude to win. It's very concerning to me. We had time to prep without AJ and Smith and while their replacements were not the same caliber, you still should have some type of offense in place and all I saw was a hodgepodge of various BS plays. VS T the running game should have been more prevalent,Goedert should have had another stellar night. I'm not seeing Philly football,I am seeing guys going through the motion pretending to play. The motivation is absent. In fact one of our CB's was talking to Evans about video games(miced on the field) after he got burned. Not good, you need to be tougher than that. Q stands up to them, the rest have given in and seem uninterested in doing their jobs

Except unlike time outs... you only get ONE bye... and this year it's at a great time.

We aren't healthy..  you have to get healthy first....then you can "stay" healthy.    You are putting the cart before the horse here.

Who cares about Chubb....the guys on his OL and the guys on their DL are going to come in without a rest... same with the next 3 opponents.   The line of scrimmage is where the rest comes into play.   That will give us an edge having the fresher bodies up front.

Injuries happen all year.Guys come back all through the year, the bye has nothing to do with that

OK so after the bye it's promised we will have no more injuries. That's excellent!
