OK so after the bye it's promised we will have no more injuries. That's excellent!

You are thirsty... there is a water station for you to grab a drink.... do you pass it up because you could be thirsty later?    We are injured now... we need the bye.  Dallas is injured now... they have to play now ... both teams could get injured later, but for now its an advantage we will have these next few weeks getting guys back, fixing issues, and hopefully getting DeJean and Brown ready.

There is a need now... there may or may not be in the future.   So luckily for us... we have the bye NOW.     Not difficult to comprehend.  We can stop leaking oil now.

Are there more watering holes later? It's not an advantage if AJ goes out for the year in week 6. More concerning is,can we correct the same BS from last year? We're 4 weeks in and I don't see it. If we can't it won't matter how many water bottles you carry off. Or the engine is already damaged beyond repair. If you have an oil leak would you rather stop for a week or keep going until the next exit? I'm glad the bye worked out with LUCK. That is all it is

Parsons out this week. High ankle sprain

Did anyone see the PSU center is the son of Darrel Dawkins and a cousin of Brian Dawkins

Yep you are.It would be nice for every team to choose their bye week after their top players get hurt. Worked out well for us. Now no more injuries the rest of the season(GL with that). That is assuming we fix all the wrongs we see. This may be a short lived "advantage". Clueless

But that's ok....Dallas has their bye later... no need for it now when there is a possibility they might need it later.

I agree with your point on the timing of this early Bye No Mas. Had some very key injuries plaguing us. But also…not sure if you mentioned it already….coaches need it really bad. They had the offseason Master Plan they taught through TC and first games. These coaches really need to self scout. Now they’ve seen the fit of our personnel under real fire in game action. Major adjustments and a very new plan need to be implemented accordingly.

Very key players being injured for sure. One extra week just to make sure on the hammy with AJ I’m really appreciating. Lane and Smitty getting three weeks after concussion is crucial for them. Ceedy has some injury he’s been playing through. Hurts has taken an absolute beating.

We are in danger with permanently ruining Hurts is how I see what’s been happening. He took a massive dose of punishment last season. Started with that dirty out of bounds hit by the Jets. Then the knee. But then the ‘collapse’ period at the end. He was getting full on assaulted relentlessly. Add in all the Brotherly Shove plays. Feels like I haven’t heard any other person than me mention this. Kelce everyone gets it. But Hurts has guys jumping on top of him in the air. He’s pushing forward against the defender….with his teammate shoving from behind. That’s dangerous. Gotta be times where his own guys were forcing his body into awkward punishment ….so say the least. Then talking about those NFL piles …when it’s every single player on the field. 22 guys…..well 21….we know Smitty isn’t getting involved in any of that.

Before 2023 season it felt like the main coaching point to our QB1 was don’t get injured. Then he took the by far most brutal season of punishment. Thought he handled it well for very long last season. He’s gritty gutty competitor….cant anybody deny him that. Such a rough brutal physical season last year for Hurts before the ‘collapse.’ But then things got really ugly for him. Nonstop blitz and taking hit after hit. In the pocket is where he is actually in the most danger as I see it. Running he is excellent and that slight dodging of any real direct blows most of the time.

Hurts played great in '22 to get the big loot. Now he can kick back and be mediocre (and he is). He fooled Howie and all of us into thinking he would keep improving, but after '22 Howie handed him the big loot while his play slacked off to "middle of the pack".If he could avoid the consistent turnovers, that would be helpful, but so far he hasn't shown the poise to stop the forced panic throws. His bad decisions still persist. He never graduated college and now it seems we have reverted back to college plays to suit Hurts instead of Hurts learning how to be an NFL QB

How can you ruin a middle of the pack QB? There was nothing there to ruin

Due to indecision and holding the ball forever again. A bad trait he can't get past. He won't run now, just takes sacks. Very sad play. Got the big loot and is waving the white flag

The parallels between Hurts and Wentz are scary

Both had great seasons followed by a huge payday then both were really bad

Both have gotten beat up

The major difference though is Hurts has a much better supporting cast.

Or....he just isn't that good

Could go further both had guys they favor and trusted… Wentz with Ertz while Hurts has AJ/Smith. Which likely hurting the team to a degree since teams can focus on taking away 1-2 guys and it have to worry about everyone.

Seen it against the Bucs didn’t even have an attempted pass to a WR until what 7th-8th pass I think.

1. This is sobering. Take a look at how far Jalen Hurts’ performance has plunged from the start of his career to the present (kneel downs removed from rushing stats):
Hurts’ first eight career starts: 89.7 passer rating, 503 rushing yards, 6.6 rushing average, 3-5 record.

Hurts’ last eight career starts: 79.4 passer rating, eight touchdown passes, nine interceptions, 314 rushing yards, 4.6 rushing average, 3-5 record.

Hurts was actually better in his first eight career starts – four after replacing Carson Wentz at the end of 2020 and the first four weeks of 2021 before Shane Steichen took over play calling - than his last eight. This kind of regression at this point in his career is alarming.

I’m still not convinced Hurts can’t snap out of this funk. He’s done some good things this year when he wasn’t turning the ball over, and that 68 percent accuracy is encouraging. But it’s hard to have a lot of success when you do turn the ball over nearly twice a game.

Hurts will presumably have all his weapons – and offensive linemen – back after the bye, and only one of the Eagles’ next nine opponents currently has a winning record. If he can’t turn it around during that stretch … we’ll see.

IDK I was hoping all that "work" Hurts put in would pay dividends.(Don't see it) I figured this was a 12 win team with the personnel we have. Right now I see the team that collapsed last year except now we added motion 🤣

I'm seeing nothing right now...it's a bye week.
