Same thing as coaching to be more hesitant and gunshy. We are going backwards. Two straight wins…but winning over these crap teams isn’t going forward. Hurts can't find wide open guys. It's a damn problem, stop denying it. It's lame and needs fixed. This has happened multiple times and if we want to "move forward" the QB needs to get his ish together. Not much chance of a pick when a guy has nobody around him for 8 yards unless his delivery is that slow. Hurts field vision is AWFUL and you need to acknowledge it

I thought the Gnats would at least put up a fight, but they folded up the tent at halftime. Cincy won't

I know they’ve been a little disappointing this year but they are a pretty good team. A much much sterner test than the last 2.

October 21, 20242 yr I mean really nothing much to complain about this week Giants good DL got pressure and sacks on us but that should have been expected. Hurts missed some open guys all QBs miss open guys is what it is…. Him taking sacks can only really think of one where I’d say he just needed to throw it away he got outside the pocket then tried to run up and got bottled up. But not like it was some massive sack that took us out of FG range just one of those watch the tape point it out and move on. Lastly ran some from under center even had LB in as a FB(looked pretty good as a lead blocker lol) hopefully we can see some PA come out of that moving forward would be nice probably wishful thinking though on my end lol

We invested so much in this monsterous big and strong Oline. Don’t know how big you are….but let me ask you…if you lined up on the Dline across from our Oline…would you prefer they go backwards and try and stop you? I sure as heck would. Because if they attack forward they punish people. That’s what it’s about. We need that Oline investment to hit guys and punish them. If I was lined up across from our Oline and it was a running play I’d be road kill! Those defenders tend to be a little less effective in all areas after we beat them down and punish them some. Pass rush a little slower and more hesitant. Tackling less aggressive. Coverage after getting hammered a few times tends to not have the same quickness and agility. Preach.... whatever gets the ball and decision making out of Hurts hands.. that works for me. I'm curious as to why you can't seem to bring up the obvious fact that was shown on TV and mentioned by the commentary how Hurts missed seeing the wide open Smith right in front of him and the wide open Barkley in the end zone....not to mention on the play you wanted interference on Dotson ( which it wasn't) AJ was one on one at the bottom and Hurts never even looked that way. Your boy locks in and has trouble seeing what's in front of him. Simple stuff. For someone who claims to know football and claims to be tough on his team....you sure treat Hurts like a special needs kid....why? If you honestly believe that he is the best QB in franchise history, why do you lack confidence in his basic abilities and lower the bar for him?
October 21, 20242 yr 3 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said: But yeah I mentioned Hurts not throwing the ball to Smitty myself. Exactly what I’m saying…he looks gunshy all the sudden. But he did deliver an absolute beautiful ball while taking a hit right out in front of AJ for a TD the next play. Where did you mention it.... in a conversation with someone other than here?
October 21, 20242 yr We pass the ball too much early in the game. We go for it on 4th down. Throw the ball at the end if games going for the win. This is the opposite of being too conservative and stunting any growth from the QB. These wild and dumb theories that get mentioned just to try to protect the QB who is absolutely not elite is hilarious. The QB is the reason we don't throw over the middle or run plays under center. He is the reason we start off slow each game. It's obvious. The amount of excuses being made....nobody makes these excuses for any above average QB... let alone Amy elite one.
October 21, 20242 yr 4 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said: I don’t know so much about that. Both aid each other. But AJ gets doubled pretty consistently. Ok...do research...5 minutes.... go look at the plays ran at the beginning of our games ..not difficult to see. The beauty of " I don't know so much...." is you can just go look and see. Unless you are afraid of the outcome... which would 💯 backup everything i said and God forbid you would have to acknowledge that.
October 21, 20242 yr 94.1 WIP.... Jon Ritchie show.... we got football talk now.... good conversation about the team an specifically the QB. .... i guess there wasn't any fan that Siri talked to yesterday.. lol.

Kittle has only played a full season 2-3 times and as Geodart Kittle was a top 3 TE even when he was on a 4 year stretch of always missing games from 2018-2023. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think Geodaet is top 3 or even top 5 but it doesn’t have to do with him missing games his level of play just isn’t the same as a Kittle or a Andrews(also misses games) Kelce etc.

Hurts field vision is AWFUL and you need to acknowledge it Think I’ve been repeatedly mentioning how we need to develop and learn. But we’re stuck under a coach determined to short cut everything. Was it better to just short cut our franchise QB from the start with Siri because he was overwhelmed first time HC? You say Hurts needs to get his sh17 together. I’m saying not going to be possible with going backwards by the HC. Field Vision is paragraphs more to get into. I agree he needs to improve there. Pretty sure we disagree on why and what’s going on though. Hurts was the starter at a pretty young age. So he wasn’t polished coming into the pros from day one. Frankly who is? A big reason we have coaches. Supposed to be knowledgable and can teach. But he’s more like an 15 year old talking smack playing Madden online. I mean how do you see how this situation has developed like this? Is there a version you see that Siri has been focused ever on the long term growth of developing Hurts? I actually had hope of that now bringing in Moore and Coach Doug that teaching learning and developing were finally arriving. Not real high on Moore really….but he’s a huge upgrade by having a scheme with rhyme and reason as to what the approach is of how to run a pro O.

I think the difference is...we are saying " he" as in Hurts... you are saying " we" because you just can't bring yourself to speak negatively about only Hurts. " coach lost the team " or QB had a problem with the coach That's a he, not a we. We aren't missing wide open guys, we aren't making bad decisions, we aren't missing reads. Now, obviously not all the problems are 100% Hurts. But with you...you have no problem calling anyone out specifically " he" ... except when it's Hurts, there always has to be a " we" involved.
October 21, 20242 yr 6 minutes ago, joemas6 said: So it's the 1st quarter thing? Nah…I’ve clearly been extensive on it’s a bunch of things. But the team coming ready to play would boost confidence some. We do look to be very difficult putting pressure on our opponent with a lead. But that strength for a team isn’t nearly strong if you can’t score a single point for the first quarter of every game.
October 21, 20242 yr Are " we" having issues not throwing over the middle... or is it " he"? You really think there are zero play designs to go over the middle? Are we not going under center? Or is it " he" Are we going backwards....because it's the same stuff with Steichen, Johnson, Moore? "WE" seem more aggressive than ever...throwing early, going on 4th down, throwing to end games instead of running... that puts more of the game on the QB... not less. But reality is " HE" just isn't developing. But YOU are absolutely clever in your approach..because you are planting the seed.. knowing Hurts is what he is, and it won't matter who coaches him... that it will be Siri who ruined him... lol. Very clever. Idk...dude played football at Alabama and Oklahoma... he doesn't know about reading a defense, hot routes etc? Is he special needs? 21 on the Wonderlic test is low for a QB, but still overall average. No reason he shouldn't pick up basics from a sport than 90% of the fans know?
