We do look to be very difficult putting pressure on our opponent with a lead. But that strength for a team isn’t nearly strong if you can’t score a single point for the first quarter of every game. Maybe a different QB in the 1st quarter?
October 21, 20242 yr 6 hours ago, joemas6 said: We should be losing these games? What is your complaint here....defense didn't give up a TD.... we start every game passing the ball...we go for it on 4th down with passes. What backwards? Your QB is what he is....wake the F up!!! Our QB absolutely is what he is. He’s a great leader and hard working devoted to football dedicated competitor. Yes I do see why you are so fond of Siri. You both think very similar. Siri has a plays. No scheme. No rhyme or reason…or plan. He never thought of you need multiple plays to run out of each look to not telegraph to the D what play you’re running. He just calls plays. Never a second..third or any other thought. You know actual good football coaches do this play setting up the opposite play later on. In a scheme you take a play and you actually know how it should and needs to unfold against every D play. You know against Cover Two you need to try and freeze this S as key to get the ball here as a first read. One play could/ should be different how everybody on O responds based on several factors: is there a blitz, zone or Man. Out of one play a WR could be running three different routes based on these factors. You clearly just blame Hurts for holding back All World Coach Siri…the CEO of X and O. But he clearly doesn’t have deep thoughts about football…heck he doesn’t even have fundamental thoughts. So why have the WR not been routinely breaking off into Hot Routes during Siri’s tenure? You’ve seen the WRs and TEs reading and adjusting to the D but not the QB? Has Siri shown much of any signs that our HC can frankly even read a D well? Heck it’s worse than that. Even when the whole stadium knows what D is coming before any play is called had he shown much of any signs to have knowledge of how to counter it? The only area that reflects knowledgable approaches has been the blocking assignments. Is anybody actually going to make any attempt at a case that’s due to Siri? We all know that’s completely due and controlled by Stout. Hmmm…great coach has one area being taught all this stuff.

Hurts missed some open guys all QBs miss open guys is what it is…. Him taking sacks can only really think of one where I’d say he just needed to throw it away he got outside the pocket then tried to run up and got bottled up. But not like it was some massive sack that took us out of FG range just one of those watch the tape point it out and move on. Lastly ran some from under center even had LB in as a FB(looked pretty good as a lead blocker lol) hopefully we can see some PA come out of that moving forward would be nice probably wishful thinking though on my end lol It was nice to see a little innovation in this offense. I'm sure VS enjoyed that play. Gotta have some fun with it

" coach lost the team " or QB had a problem with the coach That's a he, not a we. We aren't missing wide open guys, we aren't making bad decisions, we aren't missing reads. Now, obviously not all the problems are 100% Hurts. But with you...you have no problem calling anyone out specifically " he" ... except when it's Hurts, there always has to be a " we" involved. Not accurrate. I thoroughly explained my thoughts about Hurts college and pro career. In a different O every season. Heck just simply his age becoming a pro. -But I feel you aren’t looking for the actual cause of the results. -You seem to believe each year’s new O just appears magically like a player has been running it for a decade. -Not sure your take on WHY Hurts hasn’t developed reading Ds more? You just think he’s too dumb? The way he handles himself shows very much otherwise. He isn’t mouthy punk like CGJ athlete. So then you must think he isn’t putting in the work? Are you thinking he’s been sleeping through coaching and film lessons? I mean it should be extremely clear none of this is true of Jalen Hurts. He isn’t Mike Vick. So you have a dedicated hard working extremely dedicated to his profession competitor that will do anything to win…not just a game or a little…he is just chomping at the bit with a goal of nothing short of holding the Lombardi. —Second year in the same O(only time ever for him) is where we saw actual signs of coaching growth with Hurts. I’m flat out saying that there’s overwhelming evidence proving all the reasons I’m clear it wasn’t due to Siri. Johnson? Hard to judge. Obviously positive relationship knowing how to work with Hurts. Just no doubt the evidence all points to it being due to Steichen. -So if you actually considered that the massive problem and difficulty always being overcome is Siri. That he’s shown only signs of one step thought processing. That he was way over his head coming in as a HC. That he actually isn’t any top decision maker. Who are all the QBs you’ve seen in a the decades watching football that developed all this wisdom under a bad HC without a scheme that really feels like he doesn’t have the football knowledge and wisdom to run an O doing this?
October 21, 20242 yr Author 1 hour ago, cunninghamtheman said: Think I’ve been repeatedly mentioning how we need to develop and learn. But we’re stuck under a coach determined to short cut everything. Was it better to just short cut our franchise QB from the start with Siri because he was overwhelmed first time HC? You say Hurts needs to get his sh17 together. I’m saying not going to be possible with going backwards by the HC. Field Vision is paragraphs more to get into. I agree he needs to improve there. Pretty sure we disagree on why and what’s going on though. Hurts was the starter at a pretty young age. So he wasn’t polished coming into the pros from day one. Frankly who is? A big reason we have coaches. Supposed to be knowledgable and can teach. But he’s more like an 15 year old talking smack playing Madden online. I mean how do you see how this situation has developed like this? Is there a version you see that Siri has been focused ever on the long term growth of developing Hurts? I actually had hope of that now bringing in Moore and Coach Doug that teaching learning and developing were finally arriving. Not real high on Moore really….but he’s a huge upgrade by having a scheme with rhyme and reason as to what the approach is of how to run a pro O. LMAO ,dude, if anything goes backwards that's on your "leader". You consistently call him the leader, yet he doesn't lead. He is capable of calling audibles? A real leader would. While I will not scream from rooftops how great a coach Siri is,to this point he is winning games(due to the outstanding talent at the skill positions Howie has provided). IDK of any "leader" that runs backwards then takes the sack anyway. If you know you are going down STOP. Hurts loses more yards going backwards and it boggles my mind that he can't outrun a lineman. It's not the HC's job to TEACH,it's his job to guide the team. The teachers are the QB's coaches and other positional coaches, that's what they were hired for. The HC could have a team vision, but it's his underlings that are charged with getting that vision into reality. Hurts has very poor field vision. IDK if that can be taught but that's all Siri has to work with. Hurts has various limitations you fail to see. Weak arm strength, lack of field vision, some poor decision making as the "leader". I really can't understand your refusal to see what everyone else sees or why you championed this guy as "the best franchise QB ever". It's comical yet sad at the same time. Unless you are his agent, open your eyes!!!! This team was basically started for Wentz, who had an arm. I'm not going into all that BS again, but that was the initial thought process. This team was actually built for a pocket passer with a keen eye and an arm to deliver. Hurts has neither of those qualities,so there is some trepidation regarding how this team was designed and the changes that needed to be made for a running QB. Hurts used to be a running threat, but now he doesn't do that either. it's humiliating to see the running talent he has go unused except at the GL with the tush push. In 2022 it was his greatest asset and defenses had to plan for him. Now they don't because he STOPPED doing it. That is going backwards. He will always have a weaker arm. he has not improved his field vision and on top of all that,he no longer is a running threat to defenses. They have his number and he has no answers

Are we not going under center? Or is it " he" Are we going backwards....because it's the same stuff with Steichen, Johnson, Moore? "WE" seem more aggressive than ever...throwing early, going on 4th down, throwing to end games instead of running... that puts more of the game on the QB... not less. But reality is " HE" just isn't developing. But YOU are absolutely clever in your approach..because you are planting the seed.. knowing Hurts is what he is, and it won't matter who coaches him... that it will be Siri who ruined him... lol. Very clever. Idk...dude played football at Alabama and Oklahoma... he doesn't know about reading a defense, hot routes etc? Is he special needs? 21 on the Wonderlic test is low for a QB, but still overall average. No reason he shouldn't pick up basics from a sport than 90% of the fans know? I see the clear evidence that Siri has all these flaws. Siri began …freaking terrible. Steichen saved him from himself….though he was stuck in Siri’s O. We did see development and growth from Hurts very clearly under Steichen, That Steichen work carried over to begin last season, But I just don’t believe Johnson was in charge of much at all last year. Which has even been reported from insiders. So really we have evidence of two coaches only. Siri and Steichen. Clear and obvious development and growth under Steichen. All the evidence is overwhelming showing the heavier Siri’s hand…his approach is terrible. I’ll give him credit for having balls. He’ll risk fourth downs. He was a driving force in perfecting The Brotherly Shove.

October 21, 20242 yr I think I understand our differing opinions here. You believe just give talented players and that makes a great team.
