Turns out Wilson was the better pick and I believe he will be the slot guy in time or a time share if ASMith can get his act together. Disappointing to this point. Some guys have a tough time transitioning I mean, when they get injured at the start of their career...it's pretty tough to " transition "
October 31, 20241 yr Author My top guys would be edge,TE2, LB. I think WR3 is already on this team whether it be Dotson,Wilson or ASmith

I would like to see him and Wilson both used in the slot depending on the play. Wilson is almost a TE,but with some speed. I also think Dotson has talent

What was he working on his shoe lace choices? All the college years and 5 in the NFL and he doesn't know X's and O's? Maybe that is the issue

October 31, 20241 yr So an insider confirmed that the players spoke up about the O before the Bengals game.
October 31, 20241 yr See the second TE just adds to the already potent backfield that defended in the box. RB plus Hurts already commands extra attention.

What formation was the play where you jizzed your pants on Hurts long 59.3 yard pass to Smith Sunday? But ...don't let facts mess up your agenda here.   For me, I don't think it's coincidence the pass protection is dominant with 2 TEs.  Also think it's not coincidence they blitz us with the open backfield.  The more guys we put in the box offensively....create better run blocking and pass blocking.... remember " physical " ...not finesse with the spread 3 WRs. We could go check the success with each formation and see what has actually worked better for us with Hurts.Â
October 31, 20241 yr We had 3 TEs on a long pass to Goedert vs the Saints... as he burned the Honey badger. Their personnel on defense was run stopping big mode. Conversely...the other big play at the end, was the pick play where it really took a mental mistake for him to get open. I prefer the physical mismatch or putting the other defense in a situation they aren't comfortable with. I use the 2011 Pats as the example...with the 2 TEs and they used a lot of Chip Kelly offense that year....which is what we run with Hurts. Short passes, hand off from shot gun... etc.  But then we have our stud WRs on the outside to be in those one on one battles...another strength of Hurts as a passer.

October 31, 20241 yr But standards are higher... same with the QB who has won all those championships at each level.Â
October 31, 20241 yr Author We're winning and we need to keep gelling and let those young studs on defense gather experience. If we "peak" at the right time who knows? Right now we are kind of being counted out by the media pundits.Q looks terrific,DeJean is playing well for basically missing out on camp and being hurt for most of it. The kid studies as much film as he has time to absorb in his off time. He is really a fan of the game and he's going to be a great player and I hope he makes a boatload of money because kids like that who work deserve it. Wilson will be a suitable slot. Calcaterra seems like he is progressing albeit slowly. We are missing some key pieces like Mailata and Goedert. I still believe Dotson also has talent we can use and hopefully my boy ASmith can get back and contribute. We can rotate slot guys to force match up issues. We just need to get them all back into the mix.I still feel this is one of the best teams we have assembled overall. I am giving up on Hurts being a passer and will just have to like(against my grain) that he is a game manager although an expensive one and using the passing sparingly. It's boring, but if that's how we win, then that's how we win. Barkley is so humble and nice off the field, but he is punishing defenses. I think he is enjoying himself being with a team that has SB quality. I hope we let Shipley get some reps. Him and Barkley as a tandem is excellent moving forward. I like that we are being discounted. I love being the underdog and shoving that pie in their(media) faces.. The Cincy win was a pleasant surprise. I had that down as a loss and I am more than happy to have been wrong. I want Dullaz. I want both games and I want to punish them.Get some guys back and who knows? I can't blow off that we could be in the SB again. It's all possible if we put the pieces together
November 1, 20241 yr Hurts as a game manager QB? You never cease to surprise me with your takes. The guy that throws mostly downfield making big plays. The guy that creates and converts first downs with fantastic shows of athleticism. The player mostly known for his unbelievable ability to create outside the lines of given plays improvising.Â

November 1, 20241 yr Have to say I was giving up on Calcattara. He’s been a pleasant surprise. Low bar I know….
November 1, 20241 yr How would you rank our teams past QB’s all time? Feels to me like there are the three main QBs to think on considering their order. Cunningham, Foles and McNabb. I can see making a case for the three to belong in every order.

Same with Foles struggles elsewhere.

November 1, 20241 yr Now I need to point out that I’ve just called things like I’ve seen them. Consistently given my opinion on pretty much everything occurred with this team. With that concerning Rosie it’s been plenty of everything as for my opinions of good or bad. Which is the way most everything in life really is and should be. He has things he’s fantastic at…and areas of weakness. At his best when we did win the SB what I witnessed was he was coming straight from being very humbled and forced to look inward to improve by being consciously self aware.  Plenty of fortune was in place also. But he put together the complete Championship Puzzle team. Not just players…but everybody. This I give him full credit deservedly for accomplishing without any shadows of a doubt. Won it without HoF Peters and stud QB1 Wentz with a HC he hired as a first timer in that role from scratch.

Out of 32 ... my guess is between 1 and 3....us being one of them
