Well i don’t see us winning 4 of the next 5 games. But at least we looked better than game 1. That said don’t have enough scoring either. Last 5 games they’ve scored 2, 2, 1, 0 and 2. Hard to win games scoring 1.4 goals

They deserved to lose. They will get swept. The offensive ineptitude on this team is absolutely astounding. Konecny doesnt deserve half what he gets paid. Tippett might as well just take off the rest of the series because apparently he doesn't care to play. 75 year old Coots is the best player on the ice for them.

This team has zero finish, can’t score goals and sucks on the power play. This was inevitable.

It was so close to a steal! TK missing the breakaway and our PP needs some work. Zero shots on 2 is pretty awful. I'll be happy getting 1 W. Hate getting swept.

Kind of think the flyers try to make a big time move to get a 1C this offseason. Whether they get it done or not is questionable. That maple leafs pick if they deal Matthews looks really good. Being in a rebuild it has a lot of value. I kind of think you probably dealing that pick, the Flyers own 1st, michkov (i don’t think he is here long term with tocchet and they’ll utilize his value at 21 if means acquiring that 1C), guy like Bump/Bonk, another prospect and probably an NHL top 6 type forward (or a Dman) like Tippett who’s entering his prime years at 27.

Leafs have a great 1C guy in Matthews. How has it worked for them? Keep building the team IMO and if they make a move make one that doesn't drain their talent when they still need defensive help. They are more than one or two players away. Keep building and be patient.

I kind of think tocchet doesn’t want michkov and i could see them making a splash. Especially if someone like mcdavid asks out. Imo I’d actually trade for a 1D. The Flyers have consistently shown they can’t draft and develop a true 1 (center has been more of a recent issue)

Travis Konecny has 2 goals in 30 playoff games. For some reason, Briere thought it was smart to sign him to an 8 year extension. That was one of the few moves Briere has made that I really questioned. Only 7 more to go.

If they deal Matthews and go with McKenna they are not going to be very good. Blackhawks also got the no. 1 pick a few years back and the kid was supposed to be a generational player. They still stunk for a couple years after.

Technically the maple leafs could give it to Boston in 2027 and Flyers in 2028. However i think the belief is more chance it goes to the Flyers

Flyers are clearly in over their heads in a series against the Hurricanes, but this is invaluable experience.

This is a really exciting young foundation. What it lacks is that automatic top of the league prospect that you build the whole franchise around. But they do have multiples of very high end young forwards who are going to get better and better with even more help on the way.

Cates out for the series. Tippett out again tonight. They have a hard enough time scoring with them now without them? They're getting swept.
