Like I said, when this season is over, we are gonna hear a list of major injuries. I could tell by their play most of the year vs the playoffs.

Lol carter hart posting a .920+ save % in the playoffs likely on the way to the Stanley cup finals. It's crazy how people in here thought he was garbage, knowing we had a blue line full of 3rd pairing d men.

This isn't to say the flyers should or shouldn't have signed him, but his talent was never debatable. This is typical flyers luck though, finally get a franchise goalie, involved in a scandal, gets released (not tendered, whatever), comes back goes on to win the Stanley cup (maybe). He'll probably win a Vezina at some point also

I remember those discussions. I thought in a better organization ( at the time) with better defense around him, he would’ve always looked better. He got a lot of the ridicule but really our defense was never consistently great in front of him.

I understood why people wanted to trade him if they were going into a full rebuild. To cash in on his upside and get a boatload of pics to rebuild the entire system. I also said at that same time you better hit on those picks and those prospects, because if you don’t and you’re stuck in a goalie purgatory, you’re gonna regret that decision (like regretting dealing Bob albeit not really the same circumstances).

The fact Torts got Vegas playing at the level they are is a credit to him. Before the season they were a cup contender and basically underachieved all season til they made the move to Torts.

Why not give it a couple months into the season to see if he continues playing well and stays healthy before extending him?

Giving Vladar this extension will be as dumb as giving Dvorak that extension. Totally unnecessary. If Dvorak was a 2-3 year extension, I would have been more ok with it but 5 was ridiculous. How about wait until mid-season to make sure he not only can stay healthy, but to also make sure last year wasn't some fluke season?

On a side note, congrats to the Hurricanes and especially Rod Brind'amour for winning the cup. Good for him. Such a cool, likeable dude. To win a cup as a captain then coach that same franchise to another cup is certainly rare territory.

Depends on what their solution is to replacing him. Because if you trade him, then you’re gonna have to go out and get another wing. Now if they’re gonna go out and spend big money on tuch to replace TK and get a 1st I’d do it. But i don’t see it. I can’t see a team giving up a first for TK. There was a rumor about Ottawa sending a first for Risto

I saw Busty in the weight room today doing some cute Y raises. Maybe he can work on his legs so he can go from super turtle to semi turtle speed.

I don't know anything about hockey prospects, but I liked the trade down. They went from 4 total picks to 6. Briere said it's gonna take a long time fir this kid though so that sucks
