Is there going to be a single entertaining CFP game?

A shame PSU won yesterday.  Hopefully we get better games today.

No.  Even the entertaining ones get boring after 3 hours.  College football is unwatchable.

It was a pleasure to watch Franklin yesterday, he's just made for big games. More great college matchups on today.

It’s certainly more boring than the NFL but I wouldn’t say it’s unwatchable.

Here we go with ohhh the 90s basketball this 90s basketball that. The NBA has never been more talented than it is now and people wonder why it's harder to play defense. Just lazy dumb takes.

They really messed up the playoff seedlings this year giving Boise and ASU first round byes. Next year it should be cleared up. 

Oregon Ohio should be a classic.

Would love to be wrong on this, because it would be entertaining.

But it feels that OSU Oregon will be good.  ND isn’t going to hang with UGA, they never hang with the elite.  Likewise, neither will PSU in a week.

ASU won’t hang with Texas.

Texas vs winner of OSU/Oregon will be good.  

And UGA vs winner of that will be good.

 

So we are looking at an entire CFP with 3 watchable close games.

Thats not surprising considering it happens often in other sports as well.

Georgia with a back up QB that we don't know if is good and a WR group that leads CFB in dropped balls. 

And Georgia Defense has shown some holes vs mobile QBs which Riley Leonard is

Is a reason the line is only +1.5. This isn't Georgia from 2022

It’s called an opinion. If you like it, great! 

But when the best players are constantly resting and offenses consist of one guy bringing it up the court and he either A) takes it to the basket or B) kicks it to one of the 3-4 other guys just standing around the 3 point line,  it just makes it hard to watch. 

 

 

James Franklin just makes pro players. Allar over Sanders and Ward.

Makes you wonder why the primetime viewership is dropping off year after year for the past decade, doesn't it?  Basically flat for a decade or so with a minor rise, and now its dramatically lower than it was coming out of the 90s.  

 

For all this 'talent', the game just doesn't seem to have the following it once had.

SGA has played in all 32 games. 

Jokic has played in 28 of 31 and the 3 he missed is because he had a kid. 

ANT has played in all 32 games

Tatum 30 of 33 games 

Brunson played in all 33 games 

SGA, Embiid, Jokic, KD, Lebron, Luka, Steph, Tatum, Ja, Brunson all play different styles of basketball.

According to reddit sleuths, walkthrough on Wednesday usually means starters playing.

The NBA can be watched in clips and snippets on YouTube or TikTok and it's how a lot of the younger generation "watch" games. I know it's how my son catches up on games. 

The other issue is Steph and LeBron are on middle of the road teams that have zero shot at a title. Who is the next great American player to draw the random viewer in. Is it ANT or do we wait for AJ Dybantsa or Flagg. Tatum sucks as a personality, not sure Brunson has it, and Ja just keeps picking injuries.

I love the NFL draft but at the same time completely understand why people think it’s incredibly boring. Also love the World Cup but understand why people don’t like watching soccer.
