He's likely looking at KC, Detroit, Baltimore, Buffalo along with us.  I have no doubt he already has been in contact with the team he wants to sign with.  May be us, but I can see Detroit and KC (not that KC needs him at all) as a heavy favorites.

He signed a 1 year deal with the Dolphins before the season. So if someone claims him, he can't play for them this year, and I think he would be a FA after the year. If his contract tolls, then you have him under contract next year but he likely retires again. 

I doubt anyone claims him.

EDIT: It's a fascinating problem. His contract had a $5.54mm signing bonus, $6.75mm guaranteed and total value of $7mm. He retired before the season, and the Dolphins are carrying $1,108,000 in dead money as they likely recouped most of the signing bonus. So...if you claim him, do you owe him the ~$4.4mm of unpaid singing bonus? The ~$5.6mm in unpaid guarantees? All $6.75mm? I honestly don't know. That's a lot to spend to block him from going to a contender.

But if that page did exist and that message about embedding came up, it could be like with YouTube where the owner of  a video can disallow embedding. Like with the NFL, for instance (or PE.COM). 

If Hurts passes protocol, you gotta play him. It’s a concussion, not a sprained ankle. Sitting him out of caution isn’t going to make him any less concussed.

Probably me. He had to had activated by Miami or cut to avoid this mess. Now his chance of playing relies on a loophole. 

I’m not sure a team claims him though. He’s not that good to take the bad PR of basically refusing to let the guy play. Also I’m not sure how the salary works with claiming him. 

Eagles are a lock Sunday put everything on the birds. The line dropped from 9.5 to 6.5 though which means Vegas thinks Hurts may not play. But that's good for money making.

Yea I don’t really get these "don’t risk it” posts. He either cleared protocol or he didn’t. If he clears he plays, if he doesn’t he sits. It’s that simple. The Eagles aren’t even the ones in charge of clearing him. It’s all very cut and dry.

Yeah, seems like a total zoo. Hope you are right about the bad PR and I'm sure Drew is putting pressure on teams as well.

Lions are copying the Eagles and not even trying to hide it. They went and got the OG Teddy Two Gloves. 
 

 

If Barrett clears waivers he'll probably be an Eagle. We'll see if a team is spiteful enough to claim him and block his ability to play for a team. If claimed, he's playoff ineligible.

I also read that he said the only team he would come out of retirement for was the Bucs, but that was a while ago. We’ll see what happens.
