Also, they will have installed and practiced a game plan that fits Pickett.

This one is on the D.

If the Eagles D cannot dominate the Cowboys in Philly without Dak and CeeDee, then I have no faith in them to beat the offenses of the Lions, Vikings, or Packers in the playoffs.

He couldn’t be worse than Mike McMahon. Had the pleasure of seeing a McMahon vs Josh mccown game in person on Christmas Eve. Let me tell you it was as awful as that sounded

Pickett is a lot better than a lot of people think.  His college highlights were phenomenal.

I think having limited weapons and limited coaching in Pittsburgh hurt him some.  He was more of a project coming out of college and likely started way too soon.

Anyway, he should look better with a full week of practice with the 1’s.

It baffles me that anyone could watch him and see that

And tbh I would rather sit Hurts and let him rest/heal - have him fresh for the playoff push than rush him back/risk a 2nd concussion that would likely sideline him for weeks.

That’s not an unpopular opinion… That should be common sense for any backup QB

I do disagree w/ the second part… If Hurts is cleared… Just play him and win and rest next week

Brown wasn't on there with the knee yesterday but is today. Might just because yesterday was an estimate. But he looked fine Sunday and hopefully will rest next Sunday.

Pretty much this ^

They’re facing a team without their 2 best offensive players… and a team that has 9 of their 10 toes in Cabo.  If that offense beats this D… then what are we really rooting for anyway?

He was doing it all in college - dime passes, timing routes, threading the needle, etc

The skillset is there.  It just needs to translate to the NFL level.

My concern is the chance of a 2nd concussion is typically higher within a week or so. That's the reason they go through concussion protocols.  If Hurts were to get a 2nd concussion in consecutive weeks, the league could sit him for 3-4 weeks - like they did with Tua.

Disagree. I can show you manziel highlights too.

his traits obviously havent translated to the nfl level of play

Riding the bench is a plan they have to practice?

Right.  Do you pay attention around here?  If you did, you would know I've been a Hurts supporter since the day he was drafted - when half the city was losing there minds.  He's our QB and one of the best in the NFL.

Two Gloves does not have what it takes to be a good NFL QB.  He was awful in college until his 5th year.  Bailed on his team and their bowl game.  Just doesn't have what it takes.  We have a better higher upside backup on the roster we should be rolling with but Howie needs to put Pickett out there hoping he can have a good enough game where Roseman can then try to flip him for some sort of value to save face on his terrible trade for him.

My brother had the Ravens game on and it seemed fine for the most part.

The biggest issue with all these streaming services seems to be that it makes 'channel hopping' nearly impossible.  Of course, maybe that's the goal.

I really can't stand this 'news' organization.

DiSandro, known as Big Dom, was ordered off the sideline last season after he got into a scuffle with 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw. This time it appears that DiSandro was a peacekeeper, not an instigator.

If they had actually watched the interaction with Greenlaw and DiSandro in that 49ers game, they'd know that DiSandro was separating Greenlaw from an Eagles' player in that situation as well... aka, a peacekeeper.  Just sometimes to keep the peace you need to be more aggressive than others.

If we lose this weekend, we lose the division.

But we are playing the Giants the next week you say?

Yeah, but I will be in attendance week 18, so its a guaranteed L.

BUT... Washington still needs to win twice.  So... maybe not so guaranteed.

Context: The Eagles just lost a game they shouldn't have and the QB was knocked out on a hit during a slide. How many on the board were not fully in control of their emotions at the end of that ish?

Context: He dove head first.  It wasn't a 'slide'.    I didn't like the hit either, but let's not change the events.
