I've always thought of Mike Vick as a great player, mostly his college career, Falcons years and his 1 good year with the Eagles.

But i looked up his numbers from Virginia Tech and Atlanta.  He F'ing sucked.  I mean he was electric and fun to watch but damn his stats weren't very good.

And frankly, you don't need to have him do MUCH better to win this game.  Don't key on AJ for every long pass.  Run some slants and some RB screens.  Feels like last game was run against 8 in the box (there was 10 on one play for sure and they didn't audible out of it, like wtf?) or throw short to AJ going long lol.  If they just work on intermediate stuff should be fine.

Also seemed to me that Dallas is lite on its front. Like we can push them around.  Fast d but light. Could be only my perception but felt like that to me on more than one occasion (not just in our last game with them).

The defense needs to step up and control the game. It should be more aggressive and less "stop the big plays and let Dallas dink and dunk."

D needs to win this one. 

Without CeeDee Lamb, we can hold them to 17 without too much issue. They might kick 5 50 yard FG, but they lack their most explosive player which means we don't have to double anyone. 

Just get to 21 with our run game.

Well, Cooper is not a great rushing QB. Feel pretty good with our rush D as well. Should help.  Hopefully we can make them one dimensional and get some sacks this week.

I would not play my franchise defender when the team is out of it.  I don't care what the perception is. I agree with you 100%.   

Edit: But I think they play him.

Pickett will look a lot better with a full week of practice with the 1’s.

And tbh I would rather sit Hurts and let him rest/heal - have him fresh for the playoff push than rush him back/risk a 2nd concussion that would likely sideline him for weeks.

Koy Detmer looked like a real starting QB against the Niners in 2002 after a week of prep with the 1s.

Agree on practice should help.

I think if Hurts clears you play him.  Need to lock it up. Really don't want to miss that 2 spot. 

Keep it simple and toss it away with the inevitable pressure from Dallas (been getting good pressure last several weeks and Parsons is going to play, although wouldn't be surprised if they put him on ice in the 2nd if not close).

Also, they will have installed and practiced a game plan that fits Pickett.

Dallas will have 8-9 in the box and relentlessly run blitz until Pickett proves he can beat them through the air.  WA in the 2nd half gave the Cowboys the Pickett blueprint.  Pickett is going to have to pass us to an early lead and then we can try to lean on the run game.
