Hide contents I think they had their man but the movie wanted to keep you guessing. Hard to feel bad for Leto's character. If he wasn't the killer, it was definitely a case of "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" I was kind of annoyed with the blatant ripping off of Se7en. all the climax needed was a box . but the high level actors make it worth watching and revisiting down the line. The wife wanted to watch this bc she read the book and she said this was nowhere like the book with the talking to the dead guy and the forced dark comedy elements to it. But we both couldn't wait for this to wrap.

February 17, 20214 yr If you don’t know Jesse Plenmons from everything you aren’t allocating the tone you spend watching tv and movies wisely.

February 19, 20214 yr Author Watched "Jimmy Carter: Rock and Roll President" last night. I was a baby when Carter was president and I don't know much about him. It was mostly about his friendships with guys like Bob Dylan and The Allman brothers. I thought it was pretty interesting.
February 24, 20214 yr I just got HBO Max yesterday for free in a deal with AT&T internet. I knew some of the content going in, but I didn't realize it had so much content. It seems like it has more content than Disney+ did. I was surprised by: Turner Classic Movie collection (and some odd choices that are now considered "classics") There is a lot of movie content from older movies, some old favorites I added to my list to re-watch Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Looney Tunes I didn't know they were a part of it So. Much. Batman. Content. Just about every movie and cartoon made I didn't know the theatrical releases were only limited time on streaming. I know WW84 got bad reviews but my wife and I wanted to see for ourselves. I imagine it will come back later like a typical home release I didn't know there were new original DC content, are they worth it? There are shows that originally aired on CBS or NBC that they got the rights to, and not the CBS or NBC streaming services that's odd but probably due to the production company
February 24, 20214 yr Yeah I got it a few months back - AT&T was running a promo on the iPhone XS ($1 a month for 30 months if you sign up for the unlimited plan). My wife needed a new phone so we went for that - well the unlimited plan came with for free. I haven't properly explored it yet - I normally don't get past the main front page.
February 24, 20214 yr I find the UI to be VERY slow but it also might be my Roku SmartTV is a few years older. it's normal speed on the mobile app. The organization isn't great either. It's not easy to find categories as much. Example when I click the DC hub there are categories for franchises. I clicked Justice League thinking I was getting all the DCEU movies but it was just the one movie Justice League. It didn't have WW, BvS, Aquaman, etc. Other collections didn't have all the movies either, and movies that should be included were in other categories. Disney+ started out like that with Marvel movies where they were just in random order. The finally created sections for each phase, and then a chronological timeline order. The upcoming movies I clicked the "+" to add to my list, thinking it would save them for when they come out, instead it added the trailer to my list. No biggie. But maybe some wrinkles to iron out in the interface.
February 25, 20214 yr Yeah, thought the same w HBO Max and the clunky interface, although I am watching via ps4 so maybe that's where my issues come from. I sought out the cult documentary on NXIUM or whatever it's called, that had the actress from Smallville involved, and did the + thing so I didn't forget about it/have to go find it later. And now I've finished it but it still shows on my "added" section instead of maybe moving it to a "watched" area. That sorta annoys me.
February 25, 20214 yr They actually sped up the UI lol it was very slow at the start Huge collection and only 2 things with 4k

February 25, 20214 yr Its "old", but started watching the Leftovers on there. Season 1 was nice, but season 2 starts in a different part of the country with all new people. I was getting heavy-eyed about 20 mins in the other night so turned it off and went to bed, and the lack of continuation (at least initially?) of the previous season's storyline kinda bummed me out.

Season 2, specifically of this show is one of the best seasons of television I've ever seen. Season 1 felt like it dragged for me and Season 3 got a little too far out there. But season 2, in that new location you're talking about it is where it's at its peak. For all that Damon Lindelof got in over his head with in LOST, he hits his stride with this show, specifically this season, IMO.

Was just gonna post the exact same thing - Season 2 is out of this world FANTASTIC. The first couple episodes are weird just cause it's such a drastic change from season 1, but yeah, it's amazing.

I have seen injuries in sports/extreme sports. Even things like American History X... the stoning scene in the first half of Season 1 might be the most "unsettling" thing I have seen.
