thanks for the post! Will give me something to tackle this weekend.

Speaking of drastic... I have seen a ton of horror and torture porn. I have seen injuries in sports/extreme sports. Even things like American History X... the stoning scene in the first half of Season 1 might be the most "unsettling" thing I have seen.

Which ones are your favorite?  Asking for a friend.  👀

not sure how long it's been on there but i noticed that hbo max added banshee. if you haven't watched it, what the hell are you waiting for? watch it now!

Bridgerton...**** is pure torture.

We watched the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion show and then started binging the show itself.  I noticed

  • Most of the clips and references in the reunion were from the first 5-6 episodes of the pilot.  Did they not explore the whole show for their research?
  • I never remembered there is a longer version of the theme song intro where his mom packs his stuff and he is on the plane.  People for years have wondered did he take a cab all the way across the country?
  • Then my son played the song on Alexa and the full album version has even more verses.  I don't think I ever heard that.

In the reunion, Will talks about the first season where he was so nervous he learned everyone's lines not just his own.  So he was lip syncing other people's lines and you can see it on the episodes.

I also like in the pilot he's using a staple gun to put a poster on the wall and the set isn't sturdy so the whole wall moves.

Watched when I was still living in a hotel a couple months ago (reunion). Watched the show growing up and have seen countless re-runs. I would say Fresh Prince, Home Improvement, Saved by the Bell, and Seinfeld are probably the syndicated shows I have watched the most random episodes of during my life, tho Seinfeld is the only one I catch here and there still today. But those others were on 24/7 in the 90s and 2000s.

And of course the Snyder Cut leaked

Justice League Dark Apokolips War was f’ing amazing. DC animated is so much better than the live movies.

Anyone watch Allen v. Farrow? If so did Woody do it or not?

i woke up to it. Didn't pay attention. Worth watching?

Halfway through season 2 of my first re-watch of GoT - enjoying it immensely.  I want to scream into the TV when the Starks keep making decisions that get them killed

I thought so even though Im not a big fan of Allen as a director or Farrow as an actress. HBO documentaries are always pretty well done. I was in high school when a lot of that was going on so it was interesting to here about the case more in depth now.

We are 3 episodes in I think. So far I'm leaning towards guilty. When we saw the promo for the show, I thought it was about the whole soon yi thing, we had no clue about these child molestation allegations.

Did they do the adnan sayed one? Because that one was a steaming pile of horseshit. What a waste of however many hours it was.

Saw the final episode just now. Series painted a pretty clear picture that he's a pedophile. F'ing sick creep.

The only argument I guess there is that he isn't is that pedophiles are generally serial predators. He was only accused of doing one thing, one time.

Yeah I knew about the Soon Yi thing but I guess the counter argument is that she was in her 20s and he was never her adoptive father. Its still creepy and weird, but they've been married for over 20 years now.

yep, think I bailed right around episode 3. I couldn't believe how much I hated that doc, after how iconic that podcast was. I used to have an hour ride to/from work and I looked forward to it so much when I knew I had a good podcast on deck, can specifically remember the weather, etc when I was listening to this one.

Yea I said to my wife that the difference with him and Cosby, Jackson, or some of the metoo suspects was a lack of multiple allegations. With Woody, it's just Dylan all by herself. That being said, she was corroborated by the babysitter, pediatrician, family friends, etc so the chances that they're all lying on Mia's behalf seems like a bit of a stretch to me.

Personally though, three things put the nail in his coffin for me:

1) The phone call with Mia where she asks him where he was during those 20 minutes when Dylan went missing and he constantly avoids the question and just keeps repeating, "when the time comes, you'll see." "Eventually the truth will come out."

WTF does that mean? Innocent people would just answer the question.

2) The proposition Ronan was given that he'd have his tuition paid for if he defended Woody. It's not even a thinly veiled bribe, and again I'd ask, if a father (in this case his biological one) were truly innocent or actually cared about his kids rather than himself, he'd just pay for the tuition without making it conditional out of a self-serving interest. This makes him vindictive, petty, and selfish at best, and guilty at worst.

3) When defending himself and giving reasons why he wasn't a pedophile, he actually said he's had plenty of chances to be one in the past so it makes no sense why he'd start being one now. Again, like who says something like that? That's not a rational thing innocent people say when accused of molesting their own children. It's something a guilty sociopath says because they think it makes sense to normal people, even though it clearly doesn't.

To be clear, I hated the doc because he 100% without a doubt murdered her. It was one of the most biased and distorted documentaries I've ever watched.

ooh my bad, I thought you meant you didnt like the quality of the doc, which was my experience. The inclusion of the weird CGI with the girls journal and the lyrics/doodlings jumping off the page just took it to a weird place I didn't really think we needed to go to re: a high profile True Crime case like this.

All excellent points. I guess the filmmaker wanted to plant some seeds of doubt that it's possible that he might be innocent, but when you put it all together all evidence points to him doing it.
