EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

So if we end up the third seed, I guess we’d rather play the 49ers than the Rams. Right?

On one hand, the Rams are probably a tougher team to beat. But also, they would probably be more likely to beat the top seed in a subsequent round, potentially setting us up — in a best case scenario — for hosting an NFC Championship Game.

Dammit, I hate all three of those NFC West teams.

Looking at the weather for Jan 10 or 11 expected high of 40 and low of 29. Possible light snow evening of the 11th

there are quite a few strong storms blowing through California the next few days...maybe it reaches Philly in time

Rams are a really good team but they can be beat. There is no clear cut best team in football.

Chicago is the team I most want to avoid. Not saying we cant beat them but cant forget how they ran all over us and if there is one thing that might give the Eagles defense a challenge is a QB that runs around alot which Caleb Williams does.

Either one of those teams would beat the eagles so IMO it doesn't matter.

I will say I hope seattle wins the division next week bc while they have a better defense the niners have more playoff experience.

so nacua's catch was reversed because the ball moved?! lol

the Falcons DB pulled Puka's arm away from the ball as he was falling otherwise Puka had it....

Poor Rams lickers. They had been anointing them for 3 months.

Stafford is still and always will be just Stafford.

Its 17 years of this now.

The Eagles would crush him in Philly.

The only reason that game was close last time was 15 plays for -3 yards due to Matt Pryor.

The Rams D has surrendered 130 points over their last 4 non-Gannon games. 32.5 per game.

Stafford added another NFL record!

Move over, Favre. You've got company.

I wonder if the Eagles would reconsider playing starters if Niners win Saturday. I doubt it, I don’t think the Rams are worth fearing to that degree.

He'll play 18 games this season.

Another Falcons win slides that Rams pick a little further into the teens.

Looking at it again I see why its not..it would have been one if he had landed in the field of play

When the Rams are on they are really tough and they have a huge grudge against the Eagles, which neither team will need any extra motivation. Besides the home field advantage against them, the only other edge ...and is a big one...we have already gone up against them twice when they brought their very best schemes....especially this year when they had an entire offseason to scout and plan their personal Super Bowl rematch early in the season. Fangio is a great schemer and he has all the tape he needs to really attack their weaknesses. As good as that Ram offense can be it seems to have not evolved to much...it really feels like what you see is what you get. It comes down to individual talents making plays.

Todd Bowels is irritable and Baker is burnt.

The Bucs are eliminated with a loss

The Bucs are also eliminated with a win and a Falcons win over the Saints in Atlanta.

The 3 way tie goes to Carolina.

Weird scheduling by the NFL. If the Bucs win on Saturday, they still need to wait for the NO/Atl result on Sunday to learn if they are NFCS champs.

An Atlanta win creates a three-way 8-9 tie that favors the Panthers.

Can make the argument the falcons and saints are playing the best football in that division. Saints have won 4 in a row and falcons have won 3 in a row lol

Also rams will know if they have to play anyone week 18 or not based off the result of the Seahawks/niners game. I’m actually surprised that game isn’t the SNF game and ravens/steelers and panthers/bucs aren’t the saturday games

Rams are 1-3 in the last 4 non-Gannon games.

I saw the word fear earlier.

It didn’t just move. He had completely let go and was well OoB by the time he secured it again.

Incredible how the Eagles can’t get one break in the schedule. Rams get the luxury of knowing their counter game’s result while Chicago plays the same time as the Eagles so they might play the starters.

They’re 100% getting shafted with the Saturday wildcard game.

Tbh if niners win a let’s say the afc playoff picture stays the same but Buffalo moves to 6 seed and chargers 7 (Buffalo playing jets and chargers sitting starters vs. broncos, that’s likely) then matchups are

2 bears vs. 7 packers

3 eagles vs. 6 rams

4 carolina/tampa vs. 5 seattle

2 NE vs. 7 chargers

3 jags vs. 6 buffalo

4 ravens/steelers vs. 5 houston

Tend to think NE/LAC is likely the late afternoon early game and chance Chicago/packers is Saturday night.

Sunday i suspect one of 4/5 matchup is going to be early game. Late afternoon is likely jags/bills or eagles/rams. Whichever isnt late afternoon is likely SNF. With ther other 4/5 game on MNF. (Believe since the 7 seed inception the MNF has always been a 4/5 game)

Let’s say the same thing but Seattle wins and afc same:

I’m guessing it’s still likely the same.

Really think it changes if the eagles become the 2 seed or not or if afc has bills stay at 7 seed. Then i could see us getting a Saturday game

Congrats to former Eagles non quite legend Cre'von LeBlanc for helping to set Stafford's 32 pick 6's record.

He took him to the house in December of 2016.

Puka is a beast, I really don't want these Rams week 1. Not a good vibe there.
