Funny how some folks are saying they aren't afraid of certain teams in the playoffs. With the offense playing like dog crap I'm scared of everyone.

Afraid of them not am I...Afraid of Kevin Patullo I am..

Tbh believe sf and rams are better offenses then any of those 3 in Gb, buf and lions.

It's interesting how the national media shreds the Eagles more for winning against the Bills than they do for the Rams losing to the Falcons.

It's not just the national media, it's eagles fan too.

No. If SF loses and LA wins, LA would be the 5 seed.

Yup because they are in the same division and both vying for the wildcard, the tiebreakers go head-to-head then divisional record then record vs common opponent, then conference record. Sf/ rams were 1-1. Both would be 4-2 in division. But the rams would be 9-3 and sf 8-4 vs. common opponents.

In terms of S - it will be interesting see what body type that Vic wants. With Mukuba onboard we have a guy who can play the field or insert like a dime back. Does that allow us to go more in the SS direction, or are we trying to keep them interchangeable...

I don't think he wants a pure strong safety type. Pretty sure he likes two interchangeable guys that can do it all. Thieneman & Ramsey are pretty interesting to me. Though I like quite a few of these guys. Ramsey could play nickel & safety which could give Vic some really nice options & looks with Coop.

Just look at the blocking of all the Eagles players, including Jurgens. Just terrible.

I have to imagine Jurgens is still injured. No other explanation for his play to drop off that much since last season.

On that play the Bills have 9 defenders within 3 yards of the LOS. Eagles have 8 blockers, 3 of which are TEs. There is a WR somewhere, I think to the left of the formation with a CB on them and a safety over the CB. We don't block well, but no defender has to concern themselves with anything but crash the LOS. Not one defender takes a step back. They all go forward. They all know the play. They all know everything about the play. And we ran that play on 5 consecutive drives in the 2nd half never once doing anything different out of the formation. We are the most predictable offense the league has seen in this century in my opinion. Must be so frustrating as a player knowing your offensive coaches will do nothing to give you an edge, but rather do everything they can to eliminate any potential edge.

Yep. And there are still a handful of smooth brains in here who think that our QB is the sole issue with our offensive struggles. It's almost beyond comprehension.

I m sick and tired of seeing an opposing DT or a DE in the backfield even before Jalen can hand the ball off, or get his feet set in a 3 or 5 step drop. 😬😬😬

Tbh if Cameron Williams is activated and plays week 18, it sounds promising for him. Means he’s come long enough way that they want him to be active, go out there and play a game. Seeing him in action might be beneficial to what they believe he can be next year for them. I get it’s a meaningless game if starters sit and he plays, but they could’ve just done the same thing they did with Hinton and Lampkin. I’m guessing after this week, he’d likely wind up with an "injury” and be out on IR and sign hughlett again

It's not for Cam Williams. Like Lampkin and Hinton before him, they are just using the 21-day window to get him some practice reps. The reason for Hughlett's being cut is that once the playoffs come PS players have unlimited elevations, so the move is predicated on him clearing waivers and getting resigned to the PS, and one of the following happens.
1. Mukuba comes off of the IR.

2. If Mukuba isn't going to be available for the playoffs, Andre Sam (the 4th S) gets signed to the 53 man roster. Hughlett and Patrick Johnson (core STer) get elevated from the PS for every playoff game, which means Ty Robinson who only played 3 ST snaps (all on KO) last week becomes a game day scratch, likely along with Michael Carter, II (the 5th CB).

It's hard to get a good read on the 49ers. They piled up a lot of wins against teams like the Cardinals (twice), Saints, Titans, Browns, Giants, Falcons, and a Colts team with a 44-year-old QB (Phillips). But they lost to teams like the Jaguars, Texans, and Buccaneers. They beat the Bears, but the Bears still scored at will against them for most of the game. So I don't know if they're as good as their record indicates.

I've seen Thienemann and athletically he has it as a coverage safety, and would make a lot sense if the DL does their job against the run and we can stay in the 2H shell.

I think (hope) that's the case. Back injuries can be long term problems though. Let's hope another off season clears up the problem.

Yeah i later replied to someone else that it was unlikely for him. That was more for if they actually did activate Williams why and what would ultimately likely happen after week 18

The counterpoint would be they want to add Williams to the 53 for this week so they can go Williams/Toth/Kendall/Pryor/Fred on the O-line. Otherwise, they need to elevate Pierce from the PS, or Mailata has to play. I want Jordan to get some rest along with Cam and Landon. You could put Pryor at LT and have Steen play RG, but then you might want life insurance on McKee for when he gets blasted by a blind side hit.

Either way, I expect Huglett on the PS by tomorrow, though if I were the Rams, I'd consider claiming him as payback for Lampkin.

I would actually add to yours, I could see them also wanting to sit Fred Johnson. Because if lane Johnson isn’t able to make it throughout the playoffs with his injury, probably don’t wanna risk Fred Johnson getting hurt in a meaningless game. Cause we saw if it has to be Pryor, it is not gonna go well.

I still think that roster spot is for Williams. I’m convinced that Sunday is gonna be McKee and the backups. As the roster is currently constructed they simply don’t have enough backup offensive linemen to play. Sure they could elevate Pierce off the PS, but he sucks. (He might get elevated anyway.) But with Williams, you’d actually be getting a real, honest look at a lineman you drafted, one who supposedly had a pretty good reputation.

Yeah his back cannot be right at all

I’d love to see Williams play. I’ve argued for a while he can be a starting caliber OL in this league and his upside is big. If he goes out there in week 18 and plays well gives me more confidence that next year he might be able to be a highly competent backup. Then potentially the year after and another year of development be a starting caliber OL. Like if we’re gonna sit the starters, I would love to see what he looks like after 18 weeks of learning the offense and months with stoutland. Same with Kendall.

Maybe, but his back isn't causing him to whiff so spectacularly so frequently. Getting overpowered I could blame on the back, completely whiffing is something else.
