EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Funny how some folks are saying they aren't afraid of certain teams in the playoffs. With the offense playing like dog crap I'm scared of everyone.

I get your frustration but the way I look at it the Eagles already beat everyone besides the Bears even with the bad offense, and the offense looks completely different when Jalen runs, which he hasn't been doing. He will add a new dynamic with his legs in the playoffs I'm sure.

Our fans also don't account for weather. Josh Allen had a couple of lucky Eli heaves towards the end but he couldn't do anything for 90% of the game in that weather either.

Maybe I'm delusional but I'd rather be the Eagles than an other team in the NFC, even with their issues. People always say "That may work this week but it won't work against so and so" and then they proceeded to beat the best teams in the league on the road. (Bills almost never lose at home)

Most fans probably agree with you but I'm pretty confident going into the playoffs that people are sleeping on the Eagles a bit. They do need to stop running into a pile of bodies on purpose with Saquon on first and second down though.

Some more than others

Not sure if posted already but I agree. Bench Jurgens and start Toth in the playoffs.

Just look at the blocking of all the Eagles players, including Jurgens. Just terrible.

I have to imagine Jurgens is still injured. No other explanation for his play to drop off that much since last season.

I've looked at the OL clips posted and Dickerson's footwork looks like he's playing in quick sand. It looks like a man that isn't that fit to play

Marshall Yanda potentially going into the Hall of Fame?

I said like 5 weeks ago that I don't think Nick has the balls (or maybe the authority) to bench Landon or Cam.

This would never happen on defense, Vic would probably say during a pressser that they're both playing like arse and wouldn't put them out there.

But Nick (not even mentioning Patullo) can't stand up and do the same thing because he has to play the roll of cheerleader. He has to maintain his buddy-buddy attitude, otherwise it'll come off as phony.

I think more of an issue is depth. Maybe Toth is better at center, but who goes in at LG? To me, outside of Jurgens, we are a much better pass pro line than run blocking line. Pass more, more 5 wide, soften the D a bit and never ever run those bunched sets unless it's to play action pass out of it. If guys are struggling due to injury and/or technique then call plays that help them. We continually call plays that don't help and the defense knows is coming.

Didn't realize Toth had such a high PFF grade. Most importanly a high grade (81) in the running game. Only issue he had was his snaps in the shotgun. I would shelve Jurgens for rest of season, with having the previous knee and back issues and go with Toth. Jurgens is most likely our weakest link on the line, especially in the running game.

It's interesting how the national media shreds the Eagles more for winning against the Bills than they do for the Rams losing to the Falcons.

Feels like whoever the Eagles play for sure will be a prime time game. Eagles-Rams/Seahawks/49ers seems like the best WC game

Looking at the 26' draft, safety looks to be pretty deep. After Downs, who's easily a top 10 selection, there's a slew of players but more towards round 2 which could line up perfectly for this teams needs while utilizing round 1 for a lineman or surprise pick.

Haulcy ; Mcneil-Warren ; Ramsey ; Smith ; Thieneman ; Hubbard ; Sabb ; Ferrell ; Kilgore ; just to name a bunch.

I do want one. We have strong insight on Mcneil-Warren since we have the Toledo connection and he was a teammate of Mitchell. The Bama safeties are playing very well down the stretch.

Surprisingly, OTBLB is very strong for round 1, which isn't common but a real long shot for this team considering recent history in the draft and free agency. But it is fun to think about the potential for the defense. A future LB tandem with say Styles and Campbell? Wow!

Got you watch, I guess - Rams fans aren't even awake.

LA is the 6th seed regardless. Either SF or Seattle will be the 5th seed.

No. If SF loses and LA wins, LA would be the 5 seed.

Well, when you go 3 and out on 4/5 2nd half drives and have a total of 16 yards of offense in the 2nd half, and you run the same stupid bunched formation run play into 10 man fronts on each of those 5 drives you don't get praise, you get questions that mask ridicule.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he eventually makes it. 2 first team AP, 5 second team AP, 8 pro-bowls, SB Champ and on the 2010 all-decade team.

In terms of S - it will be interesting see what body type that Vic wants. With Mukuba onboard we have a guy who can play the field or insert like a dime back. Does that allow us to go more in the SS direction, or are we trying to keep them interchangeable...

Yeah, I have a feeling they’re gonna be the Sunday night football game unless they get the 2 seed and face Gb. They might not be in that case. That said rams losing last night eliminated Seattle from being a 6 seed. If Seattle wins, rams 5 seed and Buffalo becomes the 6 seed and chargers 7 then i think schedule is likely

Saturday: rams vs TB/carolina

Saturday primetime: jags vs bills

Sunday Amazon: ne vs. chargers

Sunday late afternoon: bears vs. packers

Snf: eagles vs. sf

MNF: Texans vs. ravens/steelers

If sf wins and Buffalo 6 seed then I’d say the same just eagles are playing rams.

If we become the 2 then i could see them flipping us to late afternoon Sunday and bears vs. rams/sf to snf
