Don't even wait until Tuesday to fire Patullo. By noon tomorrow and schedule the fly in to interview and swoo Mike McDaniel before he considers signing with anyone else.

I don't think you can say he outplayed Purdy today. He played like crap today. He allowed a terrible defense to look good, made a bunch of poor decisions, just a poor performance today.

He made some nice plays and throws that were dropped. He wasn’t terrible. He finally runs and picks up a long first down and it’s called back for a hold. His OC is a joke. Purdy threw two picks. Purdy had receivers playing way above their level while Hurts had guys that couldn’t catch. Jalen wasn’t amazing but he wasn’t the reason they lost.

Hurts threw into triple coverage with the season on the line

That was a pretty bad sequence from him to end the game:

1st down: Half a second late in deciding to run - got caught from behind

2nd down: Escaped pocked way too early

3rd down: This was OK. Wasnt an easy catch but Smitty is capable of making those plays

4th down: Poor decision making throwing into triple coverage

Purdy threw two picks and padded his stats with like 100 YAC. I don't think we had a single completion beyond the LOS where there were any chances at YAC.

Be nice if Hurts could throw a ball that got Yac. Hurts didn't outplay Purdy.

Legitimately sat on a 3 point lead.

You’ll see how good the players on this offense look in a real scheme. Look at what Davante Adams looked like with the Rams when he looked washed with the Raiders. Put in positions to succeed a d not being demoralized all season knowing their coaches are clueless

A new OC alone won’t fix this offense. They need some kind of juice from a player’s perspective. Like Barkley was for them last year.

I’d be calling the bengals to see what I can get for Burrow

There have been six years where I've felt we had a SB level teem during the year. Five of those went to the SB and only the 2002 season turned into a loss before the SB. This year was never a year that entered the group and at no time did I feel like the team as going to the SB. We were never a great team. Not at any point.

I felt the same. This season had strong vibes of 2008 to me. A flawed team is going to win it all and they had a punchers chance but never was I confident in that team.

Siri and Patullo have a crazy talented roster and Shanahan had nothing.

If Sirianni was fired he might not even get a HC interview. He's useless and he's been exposed as a fraud

Offensive roster is overrated, you probably need an entirely different scheme if you can't run the football. They'd be fine if you were running a drop back offense with a QB making quick, decisive throws (like the 49ers were), but that's not our QBs game, he's a balanced type that needs a running game. We were cooked as soon as we couldn't run the football.

I think Saquon and the oline come back next year fresh and back to the level we're use to seeing

Not sure.

When the eagles traded for Saquon I was excited and hopeful he would look great behind our OL coming from the Giants trash OL. But I didnt have a high opinion of him and felt he was overrated.

Last year, I thought he proved me wrong.

This year, he is proving I was right. He needs everything to be absolutely perfect to be successful.

With the giants he was a 0-2 yard per carry guy who occasionally would break a long one and pad his average. Thats ok for fantasy points as aggregate stats are all that matter. But that lack of consistency on a drive to drive basis doesnt win football games. It ends too many drives with failed plays.

Our OL can be improved next year, but Lane may retire, Jurgens and Dickerson may always be injury prone. And Mailata is hinting that his body is breaking down as well.

This OL as it is was good enough for most QBs (not Hurts), and most RBs who arent as soft as Barkley. But we are going to have both of those guys next year. So I dont see a huge bounce back year even if the OL is slightly improved.

Yeah that is sort of concerning. I think Saquon is fine physically - something else might be going on with him - seems plenty quick and fast when he gets going.

Yup, AJ looks slow and hobbled, his knee has slowed him.

Goedert cant block anymore

Not sure jurgens will ever fully recover from his back. He was the worst rated starting OL his year.

Dickerson is damaged goods and will only continue to decline.

Mailata had an off year but I think can bounce back.

Lane one year older will probably miss half the season again.

Steen wasnt bad, not great but hes not a liability at guard.

Hurts cant or wont run anymore and hes not a good enough passer to make up for it.

Dotson who cares, hurts doesnt throw to the 3rd WR anyway.

I wonder if VanSumeran can ever give the eagles a legit FB or not?

Having said that if Siri doesnt get a real OC and keep his pop warner fingers out of the playbook wont matter how talented the players on offense are.

Nope just not look like a bunch of stiffs against JAGs and CMC. It was a totally uncharacteristic performance but the defense was poor tonight

The weren't at fault for the loss

I don’t think McKee is out of the question either. Had one bad game with 3rd stringers and awful game planning with even worse play calling.

He can't move, I did not like seeing how stiff he was.

The Eagles should also file a grievance against NFL for lopsided officiating. All the evidence they need is on the tape.

Purdy made like two good throws and threw two picks. The fact that it's even debatable shows the immense difference in quality between the coaching staffs.

Purdy made a bunch of good throws, his escaping sacks led to positive plays rather than sprints to the right ending in out of bounds heaves, he threw to the sticks on 3rd downs. He scored when they had to have it.

As for coaching...

But they did mean something. And they failed. Twice. It’s a team game. Don’t let them off the hook.

That same defense got two second half interceptions and another stop with a bad punt that gave the Eagles offense fantastic field postion 3 times.... The offense walked away with a total of 3 points. So no... I don't think it's letting the defense off the hook to put about 95% of the blame for this loss on the offense.

This isn't a normal loss.

This is the 2nd time in 3 years he picked an inept OC

He let it continue all year

He brings nothing to the table

He acts like a clown

Vic and KM and Howie win him a SB

He had the most talented team in the league that was mostly healthy and he along with KP blew a year of the window when it doesn't get more wide open. Coaches shouldn't hurt the team the way he did.

People who say a new coach can't win Gruden took over a talented team when a coach couldn't make the most of talent.

He needs to go amd I hope he sticks to KP so they can throw him out the door.

I dont know exactly what Sirianni does but I'm sure he contributes to the team. I'm guessing he's probably involved in the offense structure and scheme, game planning, position coaching to an extent, among other things.

Do you honestly think if he contributed nothing to the team that Lurie would keep him?

Now granted he didn't do a great job this year. He had an OC in place that was out of his league. Thats on Nick. The teams identity since he's been here is running the ball. That has been a struggle all year. O-line has had injuries and the threat of Hurts running this year has been non existent.

I think Vic called a bad game, Shanahan got the best of him.

Didnt help that the back end gave up way too many big plays, missed tackles, missed assignments, bad angles, it was just ugly.
