Exactly. No one cares because they're all late picks, but given the context of the rounds, that's a really good move.

It just guarantees you get your UDFA target without having to throw a bunch of guaranteed money around.

CJ Daniels is definitely a rams type of WR. And that pick gives me further hope that we can one day soon pry Whittington from them.

Someday I'd like us to have a QB who can throw IN STRUCTURE passes.

Pat Coogan! Like that guy

Yup, me too. Dangit!

I agree with that!

I kind of disagree. The discrepancy in talent between the 7th round and 5th round isn't really that great. There are lots of guys I want who are still available and would have liked in the 6th round.

I want that UConn kicker who was a soccer player winning Gatorade Player of the Year for Soccer. He's got crazy range.

Cool thing for Mannion is that Cole Payton is already as good as Love.

Pats got the OT Crownover. A guy I thought Eagles might take late.

I see Isaiah World is still on the board, he has to be worth a flyer at this point surely?

Cole can absolutely do that. Remember, you're seeing curated highlights that are obvious displays of athleticism. He can absolutely sit in the pocket and throw on time in rhythm.

Yeah, he's going to take a couple years before he's game ready, but he has legit starter level upside. Pretty rare to get a QB who is big, accurate, athletic, has touch, without injury or off field concerns this late in the draft.

Fortunately the Eagles are one organization who will be willing to let him learn and have players ahead of him to take the pressure off until he's ready.

Yup. I mean when you look at his size and athletic profile alone he fits the prototype.

The knocks on him are his lack of experience , something like only 280 pass attempts in college and his level of competition coming from a smaller school

Other than those he checks all the boxes.

Even if all he ever amounts to is a backup qb one could do worse with a late 5th

With the throwaway picks, lets get some freak show selections please. Jeff Caldwell (some 6'5" 4.30 wr that jumped out of the combine that I know nothing about), Nigerian DT, a 7' OT...who cares?

Agreed, the 7th round should be for pure silliness and whimsy. People cling to Tom Brady being a 7th round pick looking for some diamond in the rough, 80% of these dudes don't make a roster and probably 80% of those who do make it are probably out of the league in 3 years.

If you're gonna cling to hope might as well draft some monstars

Eagles own the last few picks of the draft. LS incoming

roll

When Howie got 244 as a throw in, my reaction was that I hadn’t really looked at the 7 round depth, so Howie should just grab the LS.

If you're in the 7th and are just gonna take projects anyway, do you take Burks at WR, Perkins at LB, Endries for another TE?

@HazletonEagle if Harkey is there, I get it. Take him.

I think they use the picks for guys they don't think would sign with them as UDFAs

Is that pick a sign that there is a plan for McKee to be moved too?

Doesn't make a ton of sense, otherwise.

Kinda liked the G from BC too. Logan Taylor.

WTH is going on??!!??!!

Let the ghost of Al Davis take you, if they're the biggest or the fastest draft em

Honestly, we’ve been in UDFA territory since round 5.

Yep, terrible draft. The 7s keep you from having to bid with other teams for UDFA guys
