Aside from Brian Thomas I saw McKee to Arizona for Harrison and 54. Guy then had us drafting Sadiq.

Hurts has a restocked weapons aresnal and no excuse to fail in the new offense.

I dont mind Harrison as a #2.

You mean McKee and 54 for Harrison?

I think the most intriguing player in tonight’s draft is definitely Ty Simpson. You’d think some team is going to fall in love with him and take him early or trade up into the backend of the first round for him.

Could see him going as high as pick 10 (someone traded up in front of Miami).

And he may even slip to round 3 so who knows.

I don’t really buy into Rusinni’s role in any Eagles drama with Brown (Brown easily could have ended this through his words and actions), but Vrabel texting with him frequently is absolutely something that should be looked into.

If Vrabel used Russini to communicate with Brown or his agent a bit surreptitiously, which on its face appears likely a bit accurate because she sure has pushed a Pats interest in Brown, that sounds like pushing the rules. That said, not sure Roger will have a lot of sympathy for the Birds given the way the Eagles tend to push the rules (Void Years drive other owners crazy and then the whole Brotherly Shove drama). Vrabel can’t, under league rules, express direct. Interest in Brown, that’s tampering. But what if the reporter he may have been sleeping with expresses that the Pats are interested in Brown. Now that said, is it that much different if Kraft deliberately leaked to Schefter the Pats interest in Brown? It is a slippery slope that I suspect Goodell would prefer to bury rather than address. The only difference in my examples is the bedroom question and is that relevant or sexist, from how Goodell thinks it might be perceived? I predict there won’t be any league action in public but there may be subtle behind the scenes address of the issue.

Grizzard is tight with Coen, so he’d be able to get the lowdown on why they’ve cooled so much on Thomas.

Brian Thomas is the perfect compliment to Devonta. But if Grizzard is out, we should pass.

It’s only collusion if she knowingly orchestrated the story for the purpose of facilitating a trade at a lower price. I think people are giving her reporting too much power. I’m not sure she was part of a nefarious plot to get Brown to NE. I think she was sleeping with a coach and was getting pumped information (intentional phrasing).

The distraction was from Brown pouting on and off the field. He was the one with the real power here. When he’s traded, it’s all because he wanted to move on and let it affect his play and attitude.

She 100% was. It was very clear in how she was reporting this that it seemed like she has a personal stake in AJ getting to the Patriots. She wanted to help Vrabel. She wasn't just Fing him to help her own career but clearly she has some strong feelings for him. This has apparently been going on since his Tennessee days between those two.

Anyone check out Bleacher Report final big board. Some interesting names. They had

K.C. Conception 12th ranked prospect

McNeil Warren - 20
Denzel Boston 28
Kadyn Proctor - 33
Chris Bell - 38
Monroe Freeling - 45
Max Iheanachor - 67
Markel Bell - 79
Max Klare - 43, Raridon 86, Roush 91, Stowers 93, Delp 96, Joly 98

Has anyone here ever heard of or follow on X a guy named Benjamin Allbright? He covers the Broncos and is supposedly some kind of small fish "insider" (I have seen him make an accurate prediction here and there). In any case, he posts 1 mock draft per year, on draft day, and makes the picks based on things he's supposedly heard.

He has the Eagles trading up to slot 6 with Cleveland to take Francis Mauigoa. I'm thinking Mauigoa is definitely a trade up target if he slides out of the top 10....but damn, trading up to 6 for him? The thought of that almost makes me want to puke. Is he that good to be giving up the kind of capital it would take to trade up that far? And, he has a back issue that may or may not require surgery. I'd be good with doing a much smaller trade up for him because he is the top rated OT in this class...but for the kind of price we'd have to pay I'd want a player with 0 questions...especially medical.

What say you?

Yeah I guess so. I lost the video now so can't go back and check. It sounded too me like we got a pick with Harrison but 54 is ours so... not sure what he was implying.

I just looked at the draft network big board… Stukes, Stribling and Klare didn’t make their top-100. Life outside the echo chamber, I guess… certainly not looking somebody else’s paper.

Much better Broncos source than NFL wide. He’s like on the Tony Pauline tier of insiders. Could be legit, but I’d bet against it. Also kind of a weird dude.

The closer we get to the draft, a growing part of me (yep. that part) is hoping for a shocking Nussmeier 1st round selection for Philadelphia.

Not sure about your thought of the team selecting but I also suspect more QBs go earlier than the prognosticators project. Specifically Nussmeier and Beck. I think this year the predraft rankings/mocks will have a lower percentage of hits. A bunch of those day threes sneak into Day 2 and several Day 1s slip.

Yep. Don't force it

If this trade goes down Howie better get that 2027 pick. Patriots are all kinda of bad karma right now, that team has 7-10 written all over them.

The way this draft feels I hope they trade back and get one next year if a team is dumb enough. That or move up and get someone Howie loves.

Problem is there isn't a lot of replacements for a lot of positions. You won't be getting AJ's replacement in this draft. You could get Blankenship's or Goedert's, but again... positional value.

Let’s say it’s true that he explicitly told her to report that Brown wants to be traded. How does that change Howie Roseman’s asking price or leverage compared to Brown asking for the trade behind closed doors (which he reportedly did) and actively sulking on the field?

Do you believe those reports would change anything in Roseman’s eyes or how he plays the hand Brown dealt him? I don’t think these reports changed a thing. What would damage the relationship in Philly is Vrabel sabotaging the Eagles by tampering with Brown, and Brown behaving in a way that affected the team’s on-field performance. I believe Brown’s effort was detrimental.

Trading up that high for someone with a possible herniated disk would suck

Flyers won last night. This is for @HazletonEagle

Jokes about Vrabel could show up from some former player with nothing to lose, announcing a day 2 or 3 pick.

Definitely at the ESPY awards. Imagine if Shane Gillis hosts again.
