The team itself said it wasn’t a distraction. How much energy do you think they spent on this?

Oh wow they said it wasn't a distraction. Almost as if they weren't trying to feed into it to have it become an entirely bigger distraction.

Obviously they spent a lot when they had to and still do have to constantly answer questions about it. The locker room on the offensive side wasn't anywhere close to in good shape.

How delusional are you to thi k this story that kept being brought up by Russi I from before the season and throughout that the team had to constantly answer questions about wasn't a distraction?

Bigger conspiracy theory: the public's interest in this crap will fade once the memes are no longer funny. No one will care in a year except probably the jilted partners. It's just tabloid news for bros. No one actually gives a F.

I dont think the strength comes so easily. And sometimes the lack of strength is really lack of a nasty streak hidden in disguise.

If there is athleticism at baseline for both players, Ill choose strength and teach technique rather than the choosing technique and teaching strength. That takes longer to develop and may never.

I don't claim to know the personality traits and maybe Lomu isnt dedicated in the weight room but you would think getting him with the Eagles nutrionists and on a Lane Johnson strength training program would help. He certainly has the frame to add some bulk.

Really, just trying to prepare myself and rationalize the projection in case he is the pick 😅

Just realized I'm on the same side of rtk so I have to reevaluate

I think Saddiq is possible. They could factor in picks they'll get for AJ and say TE helps at receiver. Though OL still is most likely

I really like Sadiq as a prospect and fit for our needs. But man I don't know about using 2 premium picks on him with everything else we need.

That always happens in a news cycle. It eventually subsides over the course of time and people stop caring.

I think the bigger thing here is, I don’t even think the six year photo is the biggest thing that’s gonna drop in all this. I have a feeling that there is gonna be other women who come out and say Mike Vrabel was having an affair with them as well. I wouldn’t be shocked if Diana russini has more stuff come out about her too with other men in the industry as that’s happened from time to time since 2015.

I think we’re arguing semantics. I’m talking about actively coordinating with Vrabel for the purpose of facilitating a trade vs reporting information from a source. I believe there’s a difference ethically on her part (of course acknowledging that she was being unethical by sleeping with her source).

What this boils down to is Russini really played a very small factor if any in this. The real issues are Brown wanting out and what role Vrabel played in that. That is worth investigating.

Not really when it comes to Russini. That’s what I’m arguing about.

This is where we disagree as her role isn't small. Yeah, but when that information is used to hopefully benefit the same source she's sleeping with, that is also unethical. If she had just not reported about it, she'd be fine.

I think the most intriguing player in tonight’s draft is definitely Ty Simpson. You’d think some team is going to fall in love with him and take him early or trade up into the backend of the first round for him.

Could see him going as high as pick 10 (someone traded up in front of Miami).

And he may even slip to round 3 so who knows.

It is strange that Simpson is attending in person, when most media folks are leaning towards him going in Round 2. Makes me wonder if a team (ARI) has told him they'll be drafting him if he's on the board at their pick.

You think he's going to last a full season on that turf?

Exactly my point, not sad he’s a giant but sad for wasted talent.

My issue with russini during the first couple months of the season wasn’t reporting that AJ Brown wanted to be traded or trying to trade him. My issue was always there was no new information she was coming out with. It was always her bringing up the situation with aj but no actual new info presented. My question at that time was who was the person behind the smoking gun to get her to keep saying the repetitive thing over and over again. You could say it was her to get clicks which I think part of it was. But I thought there was a bigger reason than just that. I could totally see vrabel knowing his team has a shot at a SB asking her to continue to push the agenda hoping the eagles would just trade him then.

Ultimately, I don’t think the Eagles are gonna be that heartbroken trading away AJ Brown now. I do think they probably ultimately would’ve preferred to wait until the end of 2026 with AJ Brown balling out so they could possibly win a Super Bowl and increase value even more. But the reality was always with his contract that the line of demarcation was at the end of 2026 when he only had 4 million guaranteed left on his contract. He was always going to ask for an extension and I can’t see the Eagles giving a wide receiver going on 30 years old, needing a big contract, having some knee issues and beginning to decline doing that. So the eagle might be looking at this as an opportunity to get out a year too early than a year too late and they’re gonna be compensated for it. Which at the end of 2026 if AJ Brown declined a little bit more or got hurt that they might not even get what they’re about to get when they trade him.

Yep it definitely feels like there's more than an affair which really isn't a huge deal and happens all the time with these guys (and often elsewhere). Even Russini putting some story out there for him isn't a huge deal as we all see RapSheet and Schefter shill for agents & GMs for access all the time.

Am I the only one not excited about this draft? Feels like the talent level sucks and it's just wasted picks towards the end of round 1 with nothing but projects after. Some teams will get lucky and hit but most will be busts.

I’m more excited about the draft then impending Phillies game coming up within the hour

I still enjoy it all but if you are comparing to other years then yes I am less excited

Most drafts are like this it seems lately. Huge draft day over reactions, panic trade ups, I like being in this range because you can sit back and let solid players fall to you or near your pick.

Im praying the big thing he is hinting at, and Glazer hinted at yesterday will be a Jalen Hurts trade. Hurts is a diva, and it is more accepted for him than it was for AJ. But the publicized workout with Loeffler is another shot across the bow. In addition to his comments in past instances implying he isnt thrilled with Siri, and wasnt thrilled with Patullo. And isnt thrilled with the offense. And the coaches and players both telling reporters Jalen is not coachable, etc.

Hurts isnt a Mannion offense type of QB. It could finally be time to move on!

I'm trying to remember the last one that felt so blah. Probably 2011 with Danny?

Frankly, if we’re not gonna make the playoffs, I’d rather the Phillies just be completely awful. Because then it means they’re firing everybody. Plus, they’ll have a really good draft pick so you can start the rebuilding of your farm system. Hopefully if that happens, they don’t hire some schmuck and get someone that hits on some prospects at a good rate. Sadly Ed wade has had the best success for the Phillies in that area over the last 30 years.

Absolutely. I want them to fall apart so he has no choice but to fire everybody. It's we are wishing we had Ed Wade level bad.
