This is my biggest concern with the new offense. Hurts has always telegraphed where he was going, but when it's a deep ball, its usually a catch or incomplete. When you telegraph balls over the middle, turnovers happen, and dudes go to the hospital.

Not a concern but not having a single TD in camp yet even when they had a RZ period is odd

But maybe he is only counting pass TDs because

Disgrace they let Dickerson return that early last season, malpractice by the Eagles. And yes, they did have a say in it, don't be a bootlicker.

It was doomed from the start when he showed up right after surgery with beer to drink with the Browns players.

No one here knows what the objective is for either the offense or the defense on a given day at this point. Both sides are installing and focusing on specific foundational elements each day, and in some cases in collaboration with each other. That is what the practices are intended to be. There are still no pads to get a fair perspective.

I also believe it is way too premature to make any judgements about the effectiveness of a brand new offense. The good news is that Hurts and Co are going up against what will be one of the best defenses in the entire NFL. It sounds like there has been a great deal of defensive pressure to contend with which is great for the long term. I am not at all surprised the defense is ahead of the offense right now.

Concerning quotes from Mannion PC today talking about trying to get to know the things Hurts feels comfortable with, how to detail up plays for him so he gets complete mastery. Getting a feel for Jalen's "comfort calls" on 2nd and long etc.

Supporters will say this is an OCs job to fit to his players.

Realists will hear Mannion already beginning to drift away from his offense, to yet another version of the Hurts offense.

He is. I wouldn’t count rushing TDs either when they can’t even touch him

Yup, it’s a training staff and team physician issue.

Stop with your Jalen hate.

Right, this combined with the fact the whole theme at this time last year was "this is a new team, we’re not superbowl champions anymore” felt a little contradictory too - Seemed like the way a player riding the high of a championship would behave lol

That’s because he can only throw go balls and hitch routes.

He doesn’t need to look off defenders as much in this offense. The ball does need to come out on time.

His injury is why they signed Deebo back so now hearing news of season ending surgery is no surprise.

Why not? If he is throwing over the middle in this offense I hope he is looking off defenders. Which, apparently he is not as we can already see from the camp tweets.

It is 100% on the coaches, almost every player is going to try to play hurt. The coaches decide who dresses, who plays, they needed to make that call and they didn't even after it was obvious he and jurgens were killing the offense.

Sirianni didn't get enough crap from the media for that.

He was responding to a question. It is a nothing answer but he doesn’t say there’s nothing Jalen cannot do. There are elements that cannot be changed unless they totally divorce the running game and passing game. I am not concerned at this point. Mannion is going to have to withstand some pressure if the passing game isn’t working. I don’t think we will stop seeing pre snap motion and under center passing attempts.

yup...day three and Mannion is already showing signs of moving away from his offensive scheme...lol.

BLG is on WIP this afternoon live from camp and he agrees with ESP that the offense has been bad in camp so far. But acknowledgement that a big reason for that could be the defense being so good.

BLG mentioned the skill position players outside of a couple not really standing out.

Remains to be seen if this continues, but I expect the offense to be pretty bad in 2026 so this wouldn't be a stunner for me. Assuming the Eagles are in the thick of a playoff race at the trade deadline, everyone will be thinking safety will be a big target right now, but I think it low key could be WR. That's a position that could turn pretty precarious very quickly.

I'm shocked to read you repeat yourself incessently. Do you think we forget what you say multiple times a week or must you simply write the same thoughts repeatedly to reassure your ego and it's persistent drive to be recognized for its opinions? If you have the need to be recognized carry on.

We're in day 3 of camp with an offense learning an entirely new scheme going up against an established top 5 defense, no crap the offense is going to look bad. BLG is a clown, has been for years. Nothing he or ESP say should be taken seriously.

I'll wait until week 4 or 5 to hit the panic button. The first 3 weeks are against crap defenses, if we look awful against those teams i'll be more worried.

Manion PC was this morning. New material. Pay attention.
