They couldnt plan for Stowers being available at their pick in the draft so he was basically a luxury pick who doesnt really need to be ready for another year or 2, or whenever Goedert finally stops accepting prove it deals every offseason here.Stowers is very understandably going to need time to develop. Id love to here him dominating from day 1, but this is not really surprising at all so Im not discouraged either. Yet. Thatll probably wait till next year.

He looks more like a slow WR when I watched him than an athletic TE. He's slow and herky jerky. Nothing about the way he moves is smooth. Ironically reminds me of Jordan Matthews another Vanderbilt product. And is miles away from a blocker. I said at the time this felt like a panic TE pick where they were sick of just missing out on them every year so took one a round early to secure one. Would've rather they just took EMW and went Klare or Delp in round 3. But I think they wanted Bell a lot in round 3, so likely would've meant another year of no TE for them.
