I think they play him as much as possible - risk free experience.

I think it depends on how they think it will help him develop. He will have had less than 20 football practices in his lifetime and stepping onto an NFL field. It's not like he has a background in a competetitive team sport in Nigeria like Weru does in Kenya. He's making a giant leap and easing him into it may help.

I like Ross Tucker. He's a good color commentator and cares about doing a good job.

This is great. I really like Ross. Glad to see a guy who was a no name player with a short career getting a nice announcing assignment. CBS gets what they deserve giving Romo that insane contract.

Ugly rep for Sauce, he’s only about 9 months removed from knee surgery though?

DPOY?

I don't know if it's been mentioned already but his contract has a weight clause in it where he needs to be below a certain weight to receive a bonus.

I don't understand criticizing the team's approach to preseason at this point after their success these recent years both in getting to the season relatively healthy and also having good seasons.

Sounds like Greenard will be a part time player come week 1. Howie might have something else to say about that though.

Strong disagree with Richie. You play your starters the least you have to.

This is possibly the best news for the Eagles O out of camp.

Best version of Hurts has always been when him taking off for a big gain is a genuine threat as part of his game. This was far more prevalent in his early years but he looked slower the last couple of seasons.

PHLY guys recap on today:

Big Barkley day

Hurts good again

Lampkin continues to look good

Jurgens looking good

Deontae Lawson flashed

Weru continues to look good

Uar flashed on a few plays

Micah Morris starting to look pretty good and really has started to stand out in recent days

Darius Cooper continues to look good, Elijah Moore starting to stack good days

Byron Young has had a good camp

All agreed Landon Dickerson had a rough day and looks a bit sluggish out there. Said he's noticeably slower than in years past.

Makes you wonder if Dickinson is even a good fit anymore. He's a power guy, never the fastest, but if he's lost a step or two, don't know if he even works in this scheme.

Wouldn't shock me if Howie made a more at some point in camp if he's still dragging.

I think they should go back to playing starters more. Kicks off the rust you see in the earlier games

There was a study after covid when they removed preseason and there were a lot more injuries than normal that season

That's just that season though, what has it been since? The eagles since Nick got here have been one of the healthiest teams every year since. Including the super bowls where they were missing no starters.

Lane and Goedert are the the only other offensive players still around from Jalen's rookie. Looking at the celebration of all the offensive players surrounding and celebrating with Hurts, it was jarring just how much of an entirely different set of eras that was. The end of the Pederson era Eagles players with a throwback to Andy and early Chip era with DeSean.

Jalen is possibly just a season away from becoming the longest active tenured Eagle.

Actually forgot about Mailata being part of that Goedert draft class. He isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Yep.

And he’s been on that "tough” train for a few pre-seasons now. He’s "old school”. 😎

With Cooper and Moore flashing strongly in camp, I’ll throw out a trade, Hollywood Brown and a 5th for Jackson Powers Johnson. Raiders WRs are pretty weak, they could use a WR, they were rumored to be shopping JPJ last year. Would allow the Eagles to carry 5 WRs or 6 if they insist on keeping Wilson who they seem to like more than any of us.

Ross Tucker is kind of weird

On the one hand I genuinely like the guy, but one the other he always sounds like he’s drunk, even moreso than Romo. I think it’s just his speech inflection but it’s hit and miss as far as listenability

Whenever I hear him commentate, he sounds like Joe from Family Guy. Once you hear it, you can't unhear it.
