Since it’s Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, I wanted to say something that’s been on my mind. Most of us spend a lot of time talking about football, our families, work, hobbies, and whatever else

I don't think there is any way that the PHI defense allows that to happen, they are the driving force of this team and they own it, they want the smoke. They will handily control the WAS offense, I am being conservative but PHI likely only needs to score 14 to win and I wouldn't be surprised if they have a defensive TD in the opener. So even IF in week 1 the offense isn't optimal in execution they are winning that game.

Like I said glad to be wrong.

I'm thinking 4-5. With an opening loss to the stupid commandos.

Glad to be wrong though

Not 0-9? You’re lightening up :)

It seems every tweet has said this about whoever we’re cutting.

I missed a couple of names along the way (Mims, Smartt). By my current count, we're at 72. So we need nineteen more in addition to whatever happens with Greenard. I expect Sam to go to IR, so that's an easy move.

I am expecting Calcaterra to IR with one of the two preseason designated to return tags as insurance on Stowers.

Am I overreacting to their preseason performances or would he be a better backup QB than McKee or Dalton?

Looked good the other night. Made some nice throws.

I'd take him over Dalton b/c while he's not starter caliber, his mobility and arm could allow him to steal a game or two before his flaws overrode his athleticism.

Dalton just has nothing left in the tank other than Detmer like "dink and dunk," and I don't think he's nearly as accurate as the Detmer boys in their prime.

Yeah, big overreaction. Johnson has been barely playable his whole career and now he’s a worse version of that.

Hoping we can get both him and Steele back. Not a fan of Shipley.

I think we can all agree Howie made a mistake bringing in Dalton. Kempski or somebody posted a cut up of all his 2025 passes and it was obvious he was washed. In addition to the 7th round pick Dalton took lots of snaps from McKee and Payton. Somebody posted that McCord has 116 snaps last preseason and Payton had 27 this year. So they draft a QB in the 5th round, a one year starter at North Dakota State and give him 27 snaps. That's nuts.

Im still scratching my head over the Dalton pickup.

Made zero sense at the time and now keeping him would make even less sense.

No is trading for him.

I think initially the thought was if they trade McKee they would need a backup plan for their backup but clearly no one is trading anything for McKee and definitely nothing for Dalton.

Waste of time bringing Dalton in, cut him keep McKee and Payton and keep ears open on the waiver wire for a qb

Will Levis anyone? Rather have him than Dalton. A Howie reclamation project if there ever was one.

Im not a fan of Shipley either but pierce isnt any better and Shipley is better on special teams than Pierce

I hope Steele comes back. He's a valuable bottom of the roster guy and great in practice.

Id take a jar of mayonnaise over dalton

Dalton was traded for,in part, because of his career longevity and how it can help translate the scheme from Mannion to others. Dude seems washed to me, but for the low cost, I guess for Howie, worth it.

DAL also waived Mafah, Blue was a 5th rd and Mafah was a 7th rd picks in last years draft.

Greenard should start on IR, ensure he gets back to 100%. I didn't like the acquisition, guy has played a full season once and he's 29 years old.

Yup should have just kept sweat or traded for him.

Well see what hes got left, he's 35 years old, im sure hes been staying in shape, but gym shape is different than football shape.

Plus, his game is totally predicated on quickness and athleticism, if he's lost a step or two that's going to be a very expensive mistake.
