The practice squad is a great spot for a player like that. Carrying 2 completely unusable players on the 53 for multiple seasons simply isn't possible.

Won’t get too stressed for now. Really, with the exception of EJ Jenkins, they prioritized guys who can help this year. Just hoping Weru, Bernard, Latu and Covey make it to the PS. Majors too.

16 hours ago16 hr They had a golden chance to IR Stowers instead of Bennett. He has a legit hamstring and no way he would play the first four games in a meaningful capacity. That would have saved a spot. Waiving Underwood and putting him on the practice squad would have been another. Nobody is claiming Underwood and if they did Cal Adomitis is available. Howie is usually good at stuff like that.

16 hours ago16 hr I think the biggest gripe I have about this roster, same as last years roster, is that there has been no real return specialists. If Covey gets claimed, they are screwed unless they get lucky and a guy falls in their laps from these cuts.

Finding a replacement level prospect for Bernard or Weru is difficult.I would have rolled with at least one of them on the 53. Probably Weru and IR’d Bernard.

Looks like they want to carry 4 TEs but surely will try and get someone better than EJ on the roster.
