Only three road games unclaimed - SF, ARZ, and TEN.

Would hate a long trip to SF on week 17.

Would love the other two gimmes. (Assuming that the Cardinals and Titans realize that they bad by then.)

Don't know if it's been mentioned already but the last time the Eagles played in Jacksonville, David Akers was the Kicker. It was 2010. Assuming we don't catch them as the 17th/18th game, the next time they will play in Jacksonville is 2034

Well Jacksonville is kind of a Dallas.

Stand alone games in bold.

I guess the Bye is in week 10 or 11 based on that schedule. Bet its week 11 because the NFL are the NFL

I would rather face the Commanders than the Giants or Cowboys week one. I think the Commanders' defense has improved at the LB level but it's a pretty underwhelming front. They also have the worst skill position players in the division and a new OC who wants Daniels to do more under center stuff. Their 2 best players on offense are coming off of significant injuries. Also, even when healthy last season, Daniels stunk. I get that they could come out on fire and the effort level would lessen the talent difference but I don't have a lot of confidence in their coaching or players.

I mean, I think they are materially worse at LB, at least early. Wagner was the best player on that defense (low bar). Styles will be playing his 1st NFL game. They took the 32nd ranked defense and arguably made it worse.

It's probably Week 6.

Why are you against Week 11? I think that would be ideal. Otherwise the Eagles are playing on short rest both Week 12 and Week 16

They may be permanently moved to London by then.

Week 17 feels like Cardinals. I don't know if they'd want to waste the Niners that late in the season that feels like more meat of the schedule but we'll see.

I’d like cardinals week 17 as it’s nice outside in Az at that point and since the cardinals suck tickets will be immensely cheaper at that point in the year

I'm guessing week 6, post London.

Not a bad time for a bye, getting extra rest before coming to DAL on Thanksgiving, and DAL likely having played 4 days prior...nice advantage really.

Only because its a shorter time off with Dallas after. Last year was another example of how the team deals with certain scheduling quirks

I'm fine with that - might need the reset before the series of division games.

As another point of the above, the teams used get to choose the bye with the travel. If I were east coast based, I'd actually not go after London and take it later. Such a short flight

A reminder, the Eagles have the unique advantage of two road games every season that don't require a plan ride.

That week 18 game at the Giants is a bus ride to a stadium likely taken over by Eagles fans.

They added Leo Chenal. I think Wagner looked like Levon Kirkland in coverage the past 2 seasons.

They list Chenal as a backup (at least on ESPN) with Styles starting.

Games in Philly, yep, the crowd is awesome and very much like sports over here. Fun. Its not Lords on a test match saturday polite. Agree on Hockey, TV does the players dirty with how quick the game is and how good athletes they are.

Unlike Baseball 😉

Cricket is better than baseball. You can play for two days and still not know who won. Plus, you have tea breaks. And, everybody wears white.

I assumed Chenal would be the WLB in their base and nickel defenses.

Week 11 bye is the best of both worlds for PHI...you get 10-11 days off after the week 11 game before coming to DAL in week 12, and then you get another 10 days off after, assuming you aren't playing the Thurs night game in week 13 after Thanksgiving...even if PHI caught the Thursday night game in week 13, they will make up that difference in the last few weeks of the season which could be beneficial rest in the last month of the season.

Cricket is very much the antithesis to America sports cultures of wins/losses. Play a test for up to 5 days but walk away with a draw, But the cricket teas are legendary - in the 1970s, player would have pint of Bitter for their lunch,.

As an aside, one of the top England cricketers (Harry Brook) spent a day with the Phillies in pre-season after time with the Cards last season. He opened some eyes for how far he could hit a ball; Cricketers are very much range hitters now

Eagles already have 2 Thursday games. They are maxed out.

This is America. Speak English please.

Then I would definitely want a week 11 bye as a PHI fan...

Its more the 2 weeks rest vs 2 10 days. and the recovery. Its a general grump I have on scheduling how some teams only have TNF at home, etc.

I was in India for business several years ago. The 20/20 Cricket World Cup was going on that week. It was a fascinating experience. My flight left the night of the India/Pakistan game. Everyone at the airport was glued to a TV screen.

20/20 is a great format that has advanced the consumption and popularity of the game.
