Obviously the discussion triggered with @Connecticut Eagle caught the eye of the Beats and caused this exchange of tweets. What shall we point them towards tomorrow?

I would love to see him succeed, just not when/if he plays against DAL. I was surprised he was cut honestly. He matured a lot this past year from a work ethic perspective, had a good camp but Malik Davis was the better back over Mafah and Blue.

I really believe he has a future in the league he just needs to develop. Knocks on him were ball security, pass blocking, and more importantly commitment to the playbook.

If he falls short on commitment to the playbook here, his time as an Eagle will be very short.

If Jenkins truly has improved to the point where he’s a plus blocker (honestly, I haven’t paid close enough attention, so I assumed he was just a meh blocker) then he’s worth the roster spot over Latu. Latu gets the edge as a FB and special teamer, but he isn’t good at blocking in-line.

Jenkins could have a real future here as a TE3.

You think that 31 out of 31 NFL fanbases won’t say Carter now isn’t better than Carter 12 months ago?

You think that 31 out of 31 NFL fanbases won’t say Jordan Davis now isn’t better than Jordan Davis 12 months ago?

You think that 31 out of 31 NFL fanbases won’t say Q now isn’t better than Q 12 months ago?

There is a reason why all those players were in better slots on the NFL Top 100 this year than last year.

I’d agree on all 3.

Everything you say about the offense is where you lose me.

Great. Seasons over.

6 WRs, 6th being Elijah Moore and Howie made it a point today to say Joe Douglas drafted him.

So, here we have Joe Douglas influencing final roster decisions. 6 WRs and no one particularly exciting with special attributes. But we had to keep 6 because???? Because Joe Douglas drafted one of them.

Moore better produce and not just be inactive most of the season. Otherwise, theres no good reason for this.

I dont mind the player. I hate the optics of more Joe Douglas stink on this team.

Moore can play in the slot if called upon until Lemon gets up to speed

Yeah... but so can Cooper, and Hollywood

If Moore does, thats great.

If he doesnt, then it looks like we went heavy on WRs for no reason other than that Joe Douglas drafted a guy.

Another point- for a team trying to heavily invest in 2 TE sets, its even less important to keep 6 WRs.

Meh. We lost no one of importance, and added two guys with ceilings.

Howie seems to be carrying more rookies this season on the PS.

Also for a team looking to invest in 2 TE sets it would be prudent, when drafting on day 2, to select a TE that is at minimum a capable blocker and ideally a good to very good blocker

Yep. I hope Stowers turns into Darren Waller minus the off-field issues, but I can’t believe Howie watched our TEs struggle to block a single soul last year and decided to invest a second-round pick on a big slot. It was such a great TE draft too.
