Calcaterra is trade sweetener.......He's a lousy blocker and Goedart/Stowers combo will keep Calcaterra on the bench.....Howie will use him to to flip a 5th or 6th round pick to move up in that round to a team that needs a serviceable TE receiver.

There's no way they keep 4 tight ends on the roster.......probably one or two on the practice squad.

Agree. Gerdart won't pass thru waiver to make it to PS. He would be a lock along with the rookie.

A fairly interesting BBC article about the turf being used at the upcoming "FIFA" - the NFLPA will be looking closely at how the turf works in NFL stadia converted from field turf and what injuries may or may not occur at the Meadowlands

https://www.bbc.co.uk/future/article/20260515-world-cup-2026-these-scientists-have-spent-eight-years-growing-grass-for-the-pitches

They also changed out the turf at the linc. They supposedly have a mix of turf and grass. But they took 2 acres of Kentucky bluegrass from a turf farm in new Jersey for the world cup.

I'm wondering if Vic moves Uar to DE instead

Uar is over 300 lbs. In nickel, he used Phillips, Smith, and Hunt primarily. I think when Graham played he slid inside at times to rush the passer. I think Fangio wants his edge players to be able to potentially drop. It's a more complex position than as a DE in a 4-3 defense. It's a position where he likely wants significant lateral ability and the ability to play in space. Uar may be some sort of football savant but I doubt he's going to be ready to play this season or move to an edge position in the near future. He should be focused on playing DT. Uar's length can be an advantage inside. If he learns to play with leverage, he could be a dominant number 3. My guess is he ends up with a mystery injury towards the end of camp that lands him on the IR. I can't imagine a scenario where he plays more than pre-season snaps.

5 pack of questions to kill time until June where we see if some action picks up(with AJ and otherwise)

1) Will McKee and Dalton both be on the roster come opening day?

2) If you had to bet who will be starting safety opposite Mukuba: a current Eagle or someone not currently on the roster?

3) Will Jurgens and Dickerson play looking noticeably healthier in 2026?

4) The talk all offseason has been the Eagles are going to run the ball a lot under Mannion and work the run off the pass. The Packers ran the ball a lot under Lafleur. The highest running percentage under Sirianni was 57% in 2024. Under 5 years with Sirianni they average out to running the ball 50% of the time. Will the Eagles run the ball at a higher rate this year than the highest in 2024(57%) and higher than Sirianni's average(50%)?

5) If AJ gets traded, who will be 2nd in the Eagles in receiving yards if Devonta is 1st?

  1. No. I think McKee will be traded

  2. I'll say Carter, because why not?

  3. Yes. Colombian doctors saving our season.

  4. We pass more. I'll say something like 53/47

  5. I'd love to say Goedert, but he'll likely get injured 4-5 games. So, it's going to be Lemon.

I saw you guys discussing turf and just had a Vietnam flashback to Hassan Reddick losing his footing at the LOS in SB LVII. The Bradberry holding call sucked yes - but for a team that had 70 friggin sacks that year to do nothing to Pat.. LOL I thought I was over it, I’m gonna go watch Jalen Carter bulldoze Patrick’s face real quick that should help

Wrong. Baldinger said he would replace Milton Williams and be better. People were gushing over his 40 time.

There were articles like this saying Watt 2.0

https://collegefootballnetwork.com/eagles-steal-nebraska-monster-ty-robinson-jj-watt-2-0/

Or like this that he was a steal of the draft

Eagles' rookie could shock fans with key role in team's t...

The Philadelphia Eagles could have a steal on their hands with their rookie, who CBS Sports expects to be an impactful player in 2025.

Just google "Ty Robinson steal of draft” and see how many articles and videos come up about laughable expectations.

I don't think there were articles saying how good he looked in camp. I think several reporters hyped up Gabe Hall more than Robinson. Ojomo also was the bigger talk of camp. He was the player other players and reporters thought was going to have a big jump heading into the 2025 season. Kempski described Robinson as "coming along slowly" when he made the 53 man roster. https://www.phillyvoice.com/analysis-eagles-initial-2025-53-man-roster/ People were gushing about him coming out of the draft althouth there were some reporters who were concerned he had a jump in production in his senior season because he was a 23 year old playing against younger players.

QB-1 - Hurts

Off Playmaker-3 - Smith, Barkley, Goedert/Lemon

Quality OL- 3 - Johnson, Mailata, Dickerson/Jurgens (health concerns)

Pass Rusher- 2 - Grenard, Carter, Hunt

Def Playmaker-3 - Q, DeJean, Baun (Carter as well)

Is Daniel Jeremiah not aware of the need for a Nasty Nate?

Another day, another 5 pack of questions.

1) One player who will be better than a lot of people expect?

2) One player who will be worse than a lot of people expect?

3) Dallas Goedert as a rookie behind Ertz had 33 catches 334 yards and 4 TDs. Does Stowers go over or under those totals?

4) If you exclude Greenard, who has the most sacks for the Eagles?

5) Jake Elliott's FG% in 2025 was 74%. Does he do better or worse than that in 2026?

My answers:

1) Ebiketie

2) Wicks

3) Under

4) Torn between Carter and Hunt... I'll go Hunt

5) Better

The new QB could be in this class ph34r

I'll keep an open mind until after the 2026 college season, but I've yet to see anything special about Arch Manning and don't care much at all for Moore or Chambliss.

They kept the same defensive coordinator from last year.
