I don’t even know who to blame for this, but I doubt Sirianni got this soft camp from Reich. It just feels to me like Howie and the FO have their hands all over this mess. Sirianni is just the new yes man. Doug was that guy till he won a Super Bowl, started to feel himself, and wanted more power.

I have a hunch you nailed it here.

Lord no! Say it ain’t so! 👀👀

JJAW is making the team. People need to deal with that. It’s between Fulgham and Hightower for the last spot.

We talkin bout practice!

He shouldn't make the team, but he will.  I think Howie isn't ready to admit this mistake. He has probably heard the griping about not taking Metcalf and he is going to drag this on for another year or two.  Can't believe that some people want him to make the team based on one preseason TD catch over Fulgham who at least has shown that he can play at a high level for a handful of real games. And, JJAW isn't a ST demon either. He is a good blocking WR, but that isn't the reason you keep a WR.  And, if they don't want to go with Fulgham, then you go with Hightower who at least has a little upside compared to JJAW who just isn't quick/sudden enough.

Thing is... Fulgham has struggled this off season. So whilst I don't think JJAW should make the roster I don't think Fulgham should either. People are clinging to those 4 games (which I get) but I think fans need to realise at this point the bad outweighs the good. Fulgham probably just doesn't have it.

it was a perfectly throw ball, and JJAW had the thing go through his hands, hit his chest and I am shocked that he didn't drop it....as a matter of fact, I'm not sure how it wasn't dropped other than sheer luck.

I really want this kid to prove us wrong. It is far fetched, but I'd love for him to turn things around.

Well he’s making the team. Just enough to make the owner happy about keeping the kid of a friend.

Brkmsn when his boy JJAW caught two passes in a preseason game and scored a touchdown.

I wonder how many highlight videos we will get out this!

When he goes to a new team he can hire BRKmsn to put game tape together for him. Either that or he is just gonna still have to go off of college game tape lol

The dude will either make the team or he won't. Even if he does, he's behind Smith, Reagor, and Watkins for sure and probably behind Ward and Fulgham as well. As I've stated before, my feelings are that it will come down to whether or not the Eagles will carry 6 WRs or just 5 to begin the season. I figured Mullins would probably get waived and maybe they'd keep 6 WRs, but we traded for Minshew, ensuring we keep 3 QBs. That means the WR position may come down to whether or not Ertz is traded. I think the Eagles want to keep T. Jackson on the 53 and then move him to IR. If they keep Ertz and do that, they will probably bring back 1 WR after the move. That WR could be Hightower for all I know. He had a couple catches Friday as well. It is possible the Eagles cut Rodgers in a move similar to what they did with LeBlanc here.

Regardless, the 6th WR spot (if there is one) could just as easily be Hightower's.

Personally, I'm more excited about our 1st 3 WRs. Hopefully we don't have to play our 5th and 6th WRs very much outside of ST.

Howie doesn't want to let go

Yeah I agree. I also think that Hightower will be the easiest to stash on the practice squad.

Agreed, neither guy really needs to make this squad. Fulgham is frustrating, I really think he just isnt a worker like some of the other guys. I dont see the dog in him outside of gameday, you cant do that at the highest level if you want to be a difference maker. Then on the other hand I see JJAW who seems to be a hard worker, but the dude just doesnt have the tools or talent (which match anything close to his draft position).

Cut them both

Yeah I think all of Fulgham’s goodwill and luster is pretty much gone. From the stories he’s had a bad camp (rumor was he always was a bad practice guy anyway) and he’s done nothing to stand out in any of these games except fumble for a touchback. He’s on thin ice bud.

How do you go from that 4 game stretch to totally disappearing ??

No idea, but we should also remember there’s a reason why this guy was a 6th round pick, and why he was snatched off a practice squad of a team he wasn’t even drafted for. Also remember this isn’t the same coaching staff and this coach specializes in wide receivers. He already has a pet project in Reagor and JJAW is basically the owners choice so he’s saddled with those guys. He has no ties to the 2020 Eagles or Fulgham. Frankly he hasn’t seen 4 game Fulgham.

More like Lurie doesn’t want to let go.

We drafted Smith and he's wowed people with his route-running, body control, smoothness, etc... Reagor got to camp a bit late because of personal problems. Once he got his head right, he's been making play after play. He's getting better as a player. Watkins put in a ton of offseason work and it has really elevated his game to the point where it looks like Ward is probably no longer our 3rd WR. He has impressed in camp and the preseason.

The reason I brought this up is to challenge the notion that other guys have had bad camps. Both Fulgham and JJAW "reportedly" had moments during practices, but overall, the other 3 guys have been overshadowing them with big plays. Many of us saw the practice clips where Slay shut down Fulgham. Slay is one of the better CBs in the NFL. Of course he's going to win some battles. He's a seasoned vet and was going up against a pretty inexperienced player in Fulgham. It's not really all that surprising. Fulgham won't be winning battles with his speed unlike Smith, Reagor, and Watkins. Then again, we saw Fulgham produce against Nelson last year in a real game vs Pittsburgh. Again, my point is that just because they didn't have a stellar training camp, does not necessarily mean they had a bad one.

Lets pump the breaks until he does it in a game.  He has 4 catches for 43 yards on 6 targets this preseason.

We're talking about where players stand in the depth chart based on practice, camp, preseason. There's nothing to pump the breaks on. Smith, Reagor, and Watkins have been able to out-shine the rest of the WR group and have earned their places ahead of the others to this point. The point of my entire post you quoted was that it doesn't necessarily mean the other guys were "bad."
