What is funny, is if Hurts leaves or can't play, you are more likely to get a Kevin Kolb, Carson Wentz, Matt Barkley and every other gem we've had. Be ready for 4-13 & 6-11 in next 2 seasons. Howie is gonna need a miracle trading season and offseason to do better. What is annoying is the NFC sucks and we are laying an egg squandering opportunities after having a generational team 20 short months ago.

I will take a mediocre QB every time, who can deliver 2 Superbowl appearances in 3 years and not spit the bit in clutch times.

You would have loved Joe Kapp & Fran Tarkenton then. They played in 4 super bowls. Point being getting to and playing in the Super Bowl involves a whole lot more than the Quarter back.

Talent erodes. Dynasties are because QBs carry a team for a while despite a coaching brain drain and players leaving due to success.

This was a team that carried its qb to the Super Bowl, not vice versa.

So when the talent drained, it all fell apart.

Why do you think Justin Herbert is my "dream boy"? He's not. Wouldn't have anything to do with the shade of his skin, would it?

You types typically rave about Justin Herbert, the generational loser.

Apparently her husband died of blood clots after an achilles tendon rupture. It's hard to say how this in anyway relates to her job in the Senate.

It probably doesn't relate directly to her job in the Senate but sometimes it's hard to exclude personal experiences from one's job and losing a spouse is huge. I sort of agree with her position that there should be more research into evaluating risks of blood clots. Whether politicians should be involved in it is another discussion.

New question about the clot heard round the world.

So, the team feels comfortable that his clot was provoked (by the cleat). So there was no underlying condition that makes him spontaneously throw clots.

However

Can there be an underlying condition that makes him more prone to throwing clots if there is a provocation? In which case, football would still be too dangerous to continue.

Yeah, and there are a lot of QBs who can't even win with good teams. Dak had very talented teams and couldn't win crap. I'll take a mid level guy who can raise his game to elite in the SB vs a JAG in FA next year. Go through the QBs drafted the last 5 years. None of them seem capable of carrying a team outside of maybe Purdy who has a good coach and the right system. It's hard to say the 27 draft will be much better after watching last weekend. Watch ND vs BYU? Carr doesn't look like a first round pick even though he will be. Drew is the only one and he's going top 2. How about a 6' 25-year-old? No way.

I don't love Hurts but there are no better options outside of sucking and hoping a rookie in what looks to be a bad draft class looks better than all the guys who have come out the last five years. Again, trade multiple high picks for Burrow who said he wanted to retire early until this year? Nope. There are no better options.

I think the 2 doctors need to keep their comments to the medicine field. Then again one of them compared a sprained ankle to blood clot. 😅

Hurts got outrushed by Brock Purdy on his home turf in the playoffs last year. Tell us who wanted it more.

That really says a lot. Purdy and his 3rd stringers no less.

There is only 1 doctor posting regularly in here.

People still argue with him even about medical subjects.

Most people here are not bright enough to recognize when they are overmatched and regularly manage to impress themselves with dimwitted posts that they are incapable of recognizing as such.

Hurts isn't the best QB in the league and has flaws. No kidding.

Who is a better option? You want to blow picks on a guy who talked about early retirement and gets hurt often? How about Herbert? Worth multiple firsts for a guy who's played that poorly? Did you watch Carr last weekend? Want a 6' 25-year-old in the draft? Think they can get up to 1 or 2 to get Drew?

How about a washed up FA like Watson, Fields, or Brissett this winter? Instead of just complaining that he has limitations tell us who is a better option. Outside of one guy here I'm not sure any of us wouldn't replace Hurts with a better option. There aren't any right now.

Sirianni didn't answer a simple question? So weird. Not like him.

The old "who's out there better?" question. The short answer is, when you're replacing THE worst second half QB in the league, anybody. Literally anyone. Pick another second rounder, surround him with gobs of talent. Sit back and enjoy the not being the worst in 3rd downs anymore.

That's when the questionable effort became noticeable. When Brock Purdy outrushes you on your home turf in the playoffs you've hit rock bottom.

Good example of blaming Hurts for everything. They have a coach who won't get hired again, an OC who seems to suck, a bad scheme, OL who can't block, and RBs who got 7 total yards in a half so it seems like the team sucks in the 2nd half. Mahomes is the best QB in the league and has the best coach possibly ever and they need a complete team to win. Expecting Hurts to be different is unrealistic. "Literally anyone" as you mentioned will still need a good team around them to win. For the next year or two they already have a guy who has shown that ability which is a lot more than most out there like Dak, Love, Stroud, etc. Again, I don't think many of us would care if they replace Hurts with a better option. There aren't any.

Well thats when the clutch argument changed from being the most clutch player ever, to just being clutch in a super bowl that he lost which they still find unimaginably impressive.

I swear it's like the cult of Hurts lol

Herbert is entering Jay Cutler territory. I can't see the Eagles trading for him unless it's part of a way to be in a better salary cap situation or gain draft picks. Herbert is older than Hurts and does not protect the ball well. My guess is CJ Stroud would be someone they could consider. I don't think the Eagles move on from Hurts unless his camp wants it or they cannot agree on an extension. I am not sure that Hurts would be wise to push for an extension in this upcoming offseason. His 2027 salary is guaranteed. If he comes back and plays well, he's in a much better position.

Good example of blaming everyone else for everything. 👌

"During the early 2026 NFL season, the Philadelphia Eagles' second-half offense under Jalen Hurts experienced a historic decline, with some statistical models ranking their second-half success rate as the worst in 26 years (dating back to at least 2000, tracking worse than the 2-14 2010 Carolina Panthers). [1]"

Replacing the worst second half QB in the league in 26 years. Literally. Anybody.
