Still lucky to have had him.Thats not seeing the forest through the trees. Those are stats. Not facts. And the issue with all stats is that there is no context.Context is the worst enemy to all Hurts fans. So many of his wins were nearly losses SOLELY because of how badly he played the entire game until he came up with one final drive. He puts us in position to lose consistently. He is almost always bad enough to lose. Thats what you dont see in the stats. Also, more importantly, he stopped being that clutch guy. Most regular season games you don't get that anymore. Ugly playoff exits you didn't get that from him. The clutch argument is at an all time weak point. Hes losing it because he is losing his legs and his will to take the hits.

This is the week to evaluate McKee with an offensive install that is completely gameplanned for him rather than our aucky starting QB.If it doesnt look any different, Manning is a bum, McKee is a bum, and the season is a loss.Man, I wish people would keep the same energy with evaluating Hurts as they did McKee. McKee can't throw consistently in 4 games started? Bum!Jalen can't throw consistently in 6.5 years? Hall of famer!

48 minutes ago48 min If McKee can't do it with our healthiest offense to date, then we know he is likely a career backup. If he can succeed, he's doing what a good backup QB should do against a bottom feeder defense in this league. He's kind of in a no win position. Eagles should win this game on paper this weekend, if you have a Kase Keenum type to fill in. I am not sure anything gets proven here unless he lights it up like crazy or shidds the bed. In between is what I think he is.

But as a fan of the team, everyone has an interest in the cap.And for everyone who says the cap doesn’t matter under Howie, I would suggest they look up what team Jaelan Phillips, Josh Sweat, and Milton Williams play for….and what teams Moro Ojomo and Riq Woolen will be playing for next year.Hurts is a good QB. He’s won a freakin Super Bowl and wins a lot more than he loses. No he’s not getting a king’s ransom but he’s going to be the starting QB next season and a good chance he is for 2028. He’s more than likely going to be our best option for a couple more years. Let’s just accept it. It could be way, way worse.

I mean, I think that's pretty obvious if you look at the stats. We have the all time single season rushing leader on the same team with the best defense, maybe the second best OL our franchise has had in the 2000's, an all pro receiver, and probably the best Eagles WR we've drafted this century.....Not sure what other teams are matching that besides some of those in recent memory besides some of those 49ers teams. They choke.Eh, the media doesn't even rank the 2024 Eagles as a top 5 super bowl team of the past 10 years. AJ Brown was great for us, but he became an all pro once he got here and played with Hurts. Also, Barkley had a pretty up and down career before his explosive season with us. And it's been well documented by analysts that Hurts played a big role in how effective the run game was that seasonAnyway, I get that your argument is saying that Hurts was carried, but that's just false. 6 minutes ago, AmericanEagle77 said:Large portion. Common sense is not a strong suit here.

We have some guys coming back and Tanner should be in a much better position than last week, or Hurts the 2 weeks prior. Plus we are at home. I agree that we should be able to win this game but if they fail miserably, they should probably consider tanking.

Tampa with a UDFA rookie Qb and a bad oline went into Dallas and should’ve scored 27 if Todd Bowles just kicks a field goal. We should be able to score 24 with a healthier OL, smith and Barkley back.

They are very often asked to step in mid game and you hope they can still lead you to a win.McKee didnt have to come in mid game. He had practices to prepare.Still, those practices were running things installed for Hurts's style of sucky QBing. And deploying that in game.So this week is his best chance to prove himself with his own offensive install and a full week.A backup QB doesn't get a better week of prep than this one.Thats about all the evaluation we need- can the offense look better with McKee leading them.If you mean further evaluation as far as if McKee can develop in to our next starter, I think that ship has sailed. Also, the length of rope Hurts has been given by some fans in here is beyond idiotic. Thats not me. Dont put that on me.

26 minutes ago26 min If Mannion is going to keep calling under center runs and play action only, we are not going to see much change. Teams are going to blitz every under center look knowing our line is so poorly coached that it can't pick up a blitz. Either the run is stuffed or the QB turns around and has a guy in his face. You could have Joe Montana back there and he would be drawing dead - look at the 1st play of the game last week.Just call a straight dropback from under center and run slants behind the blitzing LBs...but 6 weeks down and we won't do it.

What I didn't like was them saying the 2024 Eagles team was less talented than a bunch of other squads. Also uh.....Was the rankings based on talent alone, or things like how the season progressed?

(Because Eagles hot route game has not great even that long)
