Only Maxey can do it.

Sounds accurate. It's well known that Jeff Stoutlamd left because of Jalen Hurts. Everything bad that has happened to the Eagles during this awful run of playoffs every year and 2 Super Bowl trips was the fault of Jalen Hurts. If only it wasn't for him we could have accomplished something.

There are people who suck, JAGs, season stat guys like Dak, Hurts, then elite QBs. We haven't really had elite that I can remember. McNabb was probably the closest we've gotten other then 3/4 of a year of Wentz, but we've had a lot of JAGs and sucky ones. If they have a guy who can win if you build a good team around him I'm fine with that for another year or two. That's still more than most teams have. Houston last year is a good example. He's going to be here in 2027 regardless due to the cap situation, no way does he play here in 2028 without an extension so he'll be gone by then. If you wanna say better than mediocre, he's painfully average. He has very high highs (super bowls), and very low lows (blowout wildcard losses). He's Eli Manning, just make the playoffs and hope he gets hot
12 hours ago12 hr I just think blaming Stoutland leaving on Sirianni is sloppy. They coached together for 5 years. Falling out over the offensive responsibilities? Sure, maybe. But Sirianni was neutered in the offseason, not empowered. Why not blame Howie and Manion for taking the scheme in a different direction? No one knew better than Stoutland that Lane didn’t want to play in 2026, Dickerson and Jurgens were non viable, Steen couldn’t anchor, and the depth didn’t belong in a starting lineup. Don’t think for a minute about that his decision to step away wasn’t at least partly self protecting because he knew this OL was going down in flames with or without him.

12 hours ago12 hr So do some of you that hate AJ root for the Pats tonight and hope AJ has a horrible game? How does that work?

He's Eli Manning, just make the playoffs and hope he gets hotIn part the position in general is becoming filled with painfully mediocre players. Think of the Seattle Denver game last week. In the last 5 years there hasn't been an elite QB that's come out. Purdy has high highs and low lows. Daniels seems to be on a Wentz path where he had talent, got hurt, can't stay healthy, etc. I've bashed the ever loving piss out of Hurts in the past. That being said you nailed it with the high highs and low lows. The low lows have been with bad teams. I can't remember if they were favorites in the first KC SB or last year with the 49ers but he tends to lose the games he's supposed to lose and win the games they are favored in. He needs a good OL and a good OC. Who are the elite QBs? Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Stafford. Some have won some haven't. What can we learn? Even elite QBs need good teams around them. If Dak won the games he was supposed to win with the good teams he was on he'd have a few rings. So would Burrow and Allen (who may get one this year). I didn't defend Hurts during the games this year for a reason. He's not flawless. What sets me off is he's way down the list behind that coach, the scheme, with that OL, with Smith and DG out, and absolutely no run game handing off to the 4th string RB. People love blaming him but he isn't going to lift the team past those things (though he did play his ass off that first half vs the Bears) and neither will most of the QBs in the league these days. Would people be happier if he retired and we had Stroud? Jackson gets less crap and hasn't done a damn thing. How about Goff? People would be flipping out like when he lost to DC at home as heavy favorites. Some will chime in and gladly take them over Hurts. OK. He's won and they haven't. Lots of QBs with more talent choked and he hasn't when they have been favored in the playoffs. Cowboys fans wish they had a guy like that. We are lucky to have him and we are going to probably miss that when he's gone.
