October 28Oct 28 Cooper DeJean gave an honest answer about how challenging it's been for him to bounce back from bad plays during this #Eagles losing streak last night. Here's the full quote, which I'd argue paints the picture of a player struggling with confidence at the moment: "It's been tough, to be honest. With the success that we've had the last couple years, it's been tough to lose games, even lose snaps out there on defense.""Not to look at the past, but we made a lot of plays the last couple years. There's been plays that we've made that we haven't made this season. You have to find a way to get past that, though, and learn from it. But I'd be lying if I said it's easy to just move on from those plays. You get beat, you mess up a fit, whatever it is. It's tough to move on from that. But that's the mindset you have to have in this league."

Just about the entire defense was just floating out there like a bunch of lost souls. But yeah, Davis and Carter looked like they threw the game and made some money on DraftKings.
October 28Oct 28 4 hours ago, Sack that QB said:I didn't bash him, you're straw manning. Calling someone disappointing is about as mild of a criticism as humanly possible. And I said he had a solid game.My expectations are not unrealistic. You think if a dude a first round pick who finishes a season with 4 catches for 30 yards can have a good year if they were open a few times a game. You need higher standards. If what you have gone on about isn't bashing him in your mind I'd suggest looking it up. He is not a disappointment. He is not doing poorly. He had a TD yesterday. The kid is playing well and for him to even be on your mind with all the other issues is astoundingly foolish.

Do I understand that correctly? The second paragraph says there is "no chance” anyone will offer that deal. Your reading comprehension is terrible.

Thats what got my antennae up.7 hours ago, vikas83 said:Last point on DeVonta (please learn to spell his name) and why there’s no chance we deal him. He’s a legit number 1 receiver (when healthy) under contract for a fully guaranteed $22 million in 2027. That’s way below market (at least 35%). That is an INSANELY valuable asset. No world where we trade him for less than a 1st and a day 2 pick. And no chance someone offers that with uncertainty on how much he contributes this year to a run.I had to take a look at this again.First paragraph- you state there is "no chance we deal him"2nd paragraph- "No world where we trade him for less than a 1st and Day 2 pick"In other words, in the right deal with medical clearance, he's tradeable. He has a hamstring injury. Week to week. Not a season ender. Long way to go here.Even if they got him back for December & Playoffs and the next 2 years, Chiefs would do it. And you repeated my proposed deal of 2 high picks at least. Quite original. 😅I think your writing is as clear as mud. Mr. Smartie Pants.
October 28Oct 28 Howie has made some good picks in Lemon and Bell but he hasn't drafted well enough the past two drafts that I want everyone traded. Yes, things look bad and they are but there is still a ton of talent. They need two guards if Steen walks and a TE on offense. That's it if Hurts comes back healthy. They need an edge, LB, S, and CB2 next year on defense. If they pick in the top 10 they should have a shot at the edge they need which is the hardest on that list. Every team has holes but between FA and the draft they should be able to improve the other spots. They don't need to trade everyone or do a full rebuild. Hurts will be fine for a year if they improve the line. If he sucks they have two firsts in what will hopefully be a better draft class for QBs in 28.Getting Jeff back and having a talented and experienced offensive mind who can use the talent they have will make a big difference as well.

He went on to spend 2 minutes breaking down the schemes, blocking & pass rush techniques.Frankly, I didn’t mind the reference. I thought it was funny. But then again I find humor and everything even when things are really bad.

Instead of going and attacking the running back and to make a tackle. Granted, we don’t have the full picture with the video.

But if you give up Barkley and Baun. (I would do it before you get nothing next year-both over 30 and look kind of beat). Not saying they will, then you are cutting the umbilical cord of this recent Superbowl team and saying we are starting a new era here. After this trade deadline, you may have just a few pieces left. There is very little championship DNA or nucleus remaining after that.Hurts is a question mark and I'm building this without worrying what happens there. They will likely draft a QB this year regardless. McKee is gone. So you need another one in here anyway. What caliber? Dont know. See how low we end up here. Payton is a 3 at best til further notice. EOD, we need a good stash of picks for 2027, in a very strong draft. 2028 is lining up well right now. So how do you get those good picks? Baun & Barkley & Ojomo. Everyone else is mid to late picks. I am not looking to get rid of any one else necessarily. But Howie has to listen. You know I follow the Chiefs. They always know how to figure these things out and reset with good picks. I like how they do business. Weren't afraid to trade Hill, McDuffie, Sneed & Thuney. Granted they probably needed to clear space in some cases, but they just how know how to reset so well and who to pay. We need a new base of players to form this next era of Eagles football. Lot of it is mediocre right now. And people are chalking it up to to all kinds of things. I'm not as optimistic about our current and incoming talent on roster. Alot of it is meh. We need to kickstart this ASAP. Howie has some recent misses and waited too long at some other positions to address. This is more than just some tweaking.
October 28Oct 28 Honestly, for those people here who want Shane back as HC, I just wonder what you guys have to excuse him from being part of the group that drafted Anthony Richardson. Nobody's talking about that, but to me that's a serious whiff that Eagles fans would obliterate an Eagles coach for, undeniably.

I could see them keeping Nick for another year and bringing him back as OC but they honestly need to fire him.

I will say that, Campbell has zero instinct and is in the wrong place a lot. Plays with hesitation. It's scary. Im declaring this pick a miss right now. And Baun looked bad. Took bad angles and wasn't around the ball like usual. Not great at wrapping guys either. This performance is a very disheartening effort. Also, Makuba clearly took a step down from last year. He is looking lost too. This is a disjointed group. Year 3 of Fangio is a flop. I can imagine Howie is seething right now.

October 28Oct 28 Smitty is probably the only person on offense who deserves an extension (Mailata if he wants one, but it sounds like he's not enjoying the game anymore)1 hour ago, Eagles1960 said:I agree with this. I don't want Sirianni here, and I don't want a Schwartz situation where we hire a coordinator before the HC. All that to say, thanks but no thanks to Steichen coming back.

But if they do get traded, Smith is really only one half step further. His price would need to be very high, but you can’t not listen.
