That's a lot of money for adequate play and injury risk - but we aren't getting adequate play, so you're not wrong.

They had to play. The season was over with a loss. Should we save them for week 11 when the team could be 3-7? Barkley gave it everything he had. Greenard did nothing. On that tape from yesterday he never even laid a finger on a Cowboy holding the football. One of the worst displays of football you will ever see.

All the clips online you see are him not pushing off his ankle. Pretty clear he had no business on the field and probably wouldn’t have been had Hunt/Nolan been healthy. Declaring him a bust off that is absurd.

He had an injury history so i got the concern but really Greenard has not exactly been the epitome of health either. He gets banged up albeit not season ending injuries besides last year. Add on I said this at the time, why is Minnesota not wanting to extend him and content on trading him? Why does Brian Flores not want to keep him? I think we kind of see why. And then, if you listen to the comments HE discussed. I can understand why now.

I wanted to keep Phillips not just because of his pass rush. But when he got here, he was very good against the run. We forget before Dean and Phillips were inserted into the lineup, the Eagles kinda had a problem stopping the run last year. It drastically improved with him and Dean in the lineup. I also think some of his decline in performance late in the year last year, was because he played 17 consecutive games. That is a lot on his body, particularly guy who had health issues. On top of all that he had to move his entire life in the middle of a season. I can imagine that takes a large toll on anyone.

i'm trading anyone that i can get value for. i could care less about a CB. Q is not carrying this team from that position.

I totally agree. Q is good but he's not a game changer

1 losing season and some of y'all have lost your minds.

Q is a top corner in the league, and it's a premium position. We had garbage and mercenaries at corner for years. We saw other teams have rookie corners make impact in their first season and were mad that Howie couldn't find that.

Q has been legit since day 1. Trading him is crazy talk.

On point 14, Shannon sharpe talked about that play. He blamed goedert saying it was a really lazy route. Claiming as he played tight end and he knows if he ran it better that overshown doesn’t have a chance to get the interception.

I’m just relaying the message sharpe had on that play

Does he mean he needed to sell inside before cutting outside to create separation? If so, sure, but I can’t see how that absolves the QB from throwing a pick when the intended receiver at no point was open.

Nothing wrong with the talent and fit of Greenard.

But he is Earl Wolff in the mental part so that's an issue.

I forget if it was the Jags or Rams where he was applying pressure but got hurt again. The guy can't stay healthy and that is the problem not the fit.

I’d have to find the clip. I posted it here a the night of the game. Give me a second. I’ll try to find it.

Sorry was at the 29 second mark (2:01 left in the video)

I have seen your "no chances" declarations before in here. Thats what got my antennae up.

I had to take a look at this again.

First paragraph- you state there is "no chance we deal him"

2nd paragraph- "No world where we trade him for less than a 1st and Day 2 pick"

In other words, in the right deal with medical clearance, he's tradeable. He has a hamstring injury. Week to week. Not a season ender. Long way to go here.

Even if they got him back for December & Playoffs and the next 2 years, Chiefs would do it. And you repeated my proposed deal of 2 high picks at least. Quite original. 😅

I think your writing is as clear as mud. Mr. Smartie Pants.

Keep reading the 2nd paragraph moron - "And no chance someone offers that with uncertainty on how much he contributes this year to a run."

I'd say you should consider being less stupid, but that's beyond you.

I agree but no way in hell we should've paid him the 30 million a year that Carolina did.

EDIT - Woo Hoo!!! Im a Vet now !

You have no idea what you are even writing. Maybe you need to relearn English. That premise is stupid. Smith is week to week. Not a serious injury. What part did you not get about that? Are you dense? 10 games to go and the playoffs. And 2 more years after that on the cheap. This is attractive to any trade partner. Which may even cause an overpay by the Chiefs. Especially, being how desperate they are. For all the pretentious smart talk, you are wrong more than you are right. I pay attention and keep the receipts.

In fairness they are paying Greenard $25 mil ($50 mil guaranteed) gave up what looks like now a high 3rd rounder. Plus Phillips was 2 years younger at 27.

Most importantly, history tells us Howie isn't going to look at this as a multi-year reset. They went from 4-11-1 in 2020 to the playoffs in 2021 and the Super Bowl in 2022. So the idea he's going to massively sell guys that can help us be competitive in 2027 and 2028 is unlikely, even before thinking of the cap implications of dealing guys like Barkley. However, we are in a unique position that comp picks may not matter as much as we only have 36 players under contract for next year - he are going to have to sign free agents, so we may not be in a position to maximize comp picks. So dumping a few guys who aren't going to be here in 2027 anyway makes sense. Here's my list in order of most likely to go:

  • Ojomo - no dead cap (well, below $50k) so he's the easiest to move, and should get you a 4th I would think. Maybe a 4th and a later pick. Hard to see any way we can afford to bring him back with the $$ at DT already allocated. He should be the easiest to move.

  • Woolen - we're taking ~$8.6mm in dead money in 2027 if he's traded or his contract expires, so no financial impact other than small savings on his base salary for the rest of the year. Would hope a 4th or 5th is possible from a contender. He's an adequate NFL starter.

  • Goedert - this is a little harder comp wise, and also unclear if there's much demand out there. DG has been available the last 2 offseasons with no takers, but now he'd cost next to nothing (just pro rated minimum salary for the balance of the year). We have ~$18 million in dead cap to take, and if we trade him now, that all has to hit in 2027. We apparently have a poison pill that would allow a post June 1, 2027 release that would push ~$10mm of the dead cap to 2028. So, the pick has to be worth brining $10mm of cap hit forward to 2027.

  • Steen - tiny dead cap, so that isn't a consideration. The issue really is - who the hell plays RG the rest of the year? Morris? If they think Morris is ready, then sure. Steen's an adequate NFL starter and hard to see them resigning him. Maybe a 5th?

  • Hollywood, Ebiketie, Epenesa, Big Fred, Moore, etc. - unclear if there's any market for them, but you'd take anything for them as they're not part of the future.

Oh please, show me those receipts. I told you all offseason we couldn't move AJ until after June 1, and you called me an idiot the whole time. I told you they'd extend Carter, you kept saying they wouldn't. So please, show those receipts. But not the ones from Walmart where you paid with food stamps.
