Glad I’m living rent free in your head bonerbiter

Baun and Barkley. Not even blinking here. Both look exhausted and beat down. Get good picks while you can. No brainers. If those 2 happen, that's how you know Howie's plan is more long viewed. Which is what he should do.

Greenard stoled dat cash. You know who else is laughing his way to the bank? This guy! These were his comments just a few short weeks ago.

"I don't really think the money is ever gonna change me,” Carter said after the first practice of training camp.

"When you get picked in the first round and you’re a top-10 pick, you kind of get a little bit of decent money. And that didn't change me. I still came in, I had a goal, let the team know and the fans know that the goal was to get a championship. And it happened. But it's a new contract and it's time to get more championships for the city of Philly.”

The responsibility, it's a lot, but I'm just staying humble and being calm," he said. "I'm not letting it overhype me or anything like that. I still gotta come out here every day ... and work. My main focus after this (interview), I'm gonna watch film. We're gonna get right in there. We're gonna worry about what we can do tomorrow to get better.”

Carter is getting good cardio this season. Although JD needs it more. 😁

I do not believe that Howie will ever fire sale his way in to the basement. I would be shocked.

Hes always bouncing back quickly. You cant do that if you sell off any talented player that teams want.

The guys who we cant/wont re-sign next year make sense.

Someone like Baun who is under contract, is still elite, and we have no viable replacement for is absolutely ridiculous to even consider. I dont think Baun gets traded.

Greenard trade going poorly wasn’t overly hard to predict. I said it at the some i get why they wanted to do it however were red flags all over the place. He was injury prone. He was 29. Why didn’t Brian Flores want to keep him. And you had to give up more capital and extend him. I didn’t like it. Understood their reason but i felt there were too many red flags

Tbh they were better off overpaying Phillips with money saved on greenard’s deal as would’ve kept multiple valuable draft picks. You knew what Phillips was and looked like in the system for half the year. Even with his injury problems. You were also dealing with Greenard who’s now missed 3+ games in 5 of 7 seasons

Howie has to lose a trade like that every now and then, so people will answer the phone. 😄 But it's the double whammy of the 2 picks and $100M with out even letting him earn it following an injury plagued season. Used to think Howie was a great negotiator in contracts and draft compensation. Lost his touch in recent seasons. But he deserves A grades for AJ and Jurgens trades. Looking mediocre to bad everywhere else. Wicks I liked tho and is an incomplete with injuries.

I wish we could get out of the Davis contract but I doubt it since we just started it. How was fleeced by the agent

I dont think missing the Greenard/Goedert amount of games each year is necessarily a red flag to avoid. Its the NFL. Some guys are gonna get banged up. Injuries happen. If the guy is elite when he is on the field Im fine with it. If it happens at playoff time, thats unlucky. Usually though its earlier in the year, or if theyre banged up later on in the year theyll fight through it.

The problem with Greenard apparently now, is that he has 0 interest in playing if he does not feel 100%. He gave the locker interview recently saying how he would rather let the young guys play if he is not going to be effective out there. Give them the snaps. He frames it as not wanting to hurt to the team. If someone is being 100% honest about that, then sometimes that is really a good thing. Example- Dickerson shouldnt have tried coming back. We are better off letting the other guards play.

However, Greenard seems to be using it as a copout to really avoid playing even when he is capable just because he cant deal mentally with feeling less than 100%.

Yesterday he talked about how the team really needs him now so he is actually going to play while still banged up, and he added in there something along the lines of "Even if Im just out there to set the edge". With that quote, on top of the fact that we already learned he doesnt like to play hurt- I knew already prior to the game that he wasnt going to give his best effort. He was uninterested in going all out and decided he would just try to do a little bit just to be a body.

This is pure BS.

When the majority of eagles fans pick up on all of that, hes going to be hated like Nnamdi. He will be like AJ Brown quitting except without ever providing us with elite production and a super bowl. We only get the quit part.

I was gonna bring up this topic. Smith needs a contract extension at the end of 2027. He’s gonna be 30 when that contract extension starts. I kinda think this goes back to where the Eagles see themselves by 2028. If the Eagles do not believe they can get themselves back to being a contender by then, I could see the Eagles moving him. I don’t think it’s gonna happen at this trade deadline. he’s not healthy. So you’re gonna be selling him at a low and I’m not sure if teams are gonna give you what you want at the moment with him dealing with the hamstring injury whole year. I think it would be more of an off-season move.

That said I don’t think it’s very likely but I also wouldn’t completely rule it out depending on where the Eagles envision themselves by 2028

Smith's game is going to age tremendously. He doesn't rely on speed or physicality, he's a technician. He'll be good well into his 30s, he deserves and has earned a third contract here more than Hurts does. You also just create another massive hole for yourself for no reason by trading him

Eagles have some soft guys like Charmin. This is not your Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, Dean, Josh Sweat types. Who play with fire, heart and toughness. And love the game. We have too many Ben Simmons's on the squad. Potential only goes so far. Not working on their craft and going thru the motions. Cashed their chex and chilling. Mentioned earlier. Deeper issues with culture and work ethic etc. Needs straightening out. We got major issues folks!

You try to keep DeVonta Smith as long as he will stay here.

I love smitty but nah. If you get a favorable deal then you trade him

I don’t think the trade him unless they get a ridiculous package. I think he’s here. However i don’t think it’s out of the question if they dealt him.

Problem is at 29 i don’t want to give a guy who’s missed 3 or more games in 4 seasons in his first 6bseasons a massive extension at 29 while also giving up 2 thirds. It’s more likely he continues to get banged up and missed more time as he ages not less.

Seasons like this is why it would take an incredibly awesome deal for me to trade a first-round pick. You just never know when you get one of these bottom-out seasons.

There is no favorable deal that makes sense for him.

If i remember correctly Greenard still had 2 years left on his deal with Minnesota.
