It’s more likely he continues to get banged up and missed more time as he ages not less.I have a bigger problem with his loser attitude.

October 27Oct 27 The only way Id trade Smith to KC is if we are trading for Andy Reid.Smith finally gets a good QB.Eagles get a good coach who wont be looking to leave. Reid will be happy to come to a team who simultaneously just depleted its WR corps.Everyone wins.

If you get a favorable deal then you trade himIf you are trading Baun & Barkley, we likely have a pretty full rebuild OTW. So Smitty is then on the table. Q. is the only one where I am hanging up the phone. Listening everywhere else. Will find out shortly. There's a price for everyone here.

He had 2 years left on a deal coming back from an injury. What kind of leverage does the player have? Doesn't make sense. My biggest problem with Howie has been giving people the loot before he has to. Gotta be more firm. Guys pretty much are cashing their checks and lose all motivation and hunger once signing. It feels like the inmates are running the asylum, in some ways. Team is fat and happy.

The kid scored a TD last night and played well and your response is to bash the kid who doesn't even make the top 25 things going wrong. Just stop dudeI didn't bash him, you're straw manning. Calling someone disappointing is about as mild of a criticism as humanly possible. And I said he had a solid game.My expectations are not unrealistic. You think if a dude a first round pick who finishes a season with 4 catches for 30 yards can have a good year if they were open a few times a game. You need higher standards.

Some guys are gonna get banged up. Injuries happen. If the guy is elite when he is on the field Im fine with it. If it happens at playoff time, thats unlucky. Usually though its earlier in the year, or if theyre banged up later on in the year theyll fight through it.The problem with Greenard apparently now, is that he has 0 interest in playing if he does not feel 100%. He gave the locker interview recently saying how he would rather let the young guys play if he is not going to be effective out there. Give them the snaps. He frames it as not wanting to hurt to the team. If someone is being 100% honest about that, then sometimes that is really a good thing. Example- Dickerson shouldnt have tried coming back. We are better off letting the other guards play. However, Greenard seems to be using it as a copout to really avoid playing even when he is capable just because he cant deal mentally with feeling less than 100%.Yesterday he talked about how the team really needs him now so he is actually going to play while still banged up, and he added in there something along the lines of "Even if Im just out there to set the edge". With that quote, on top of the fact that we already learned he doesnt like to play hurt- I knew already prior to the game that he wasnt going to give his best effort. He was uninterested in going all out and decided he would just try to do a little bit just to be a body. This is pure BS.When the majority of eagles fans pick up on all of that, hes going to be hated like Nnamdi. He will be like AJ Brown quitting except without ever providing us with elite production and a super bowl. We only get the quit part.Sounds like Dallas when they had elite LBs but couldn't stay healthy

The guy with the 150 year old knees whos career ended... Van der Esch much more significant issues.People have made a mountain out of a mole hill over Greenard missing a few games each season. His injury issues have not been that bad prior to tearing his pec. I understand those who are worrying about his age potentially making him less and less reliable. But for the most part it seems most people have really saddled him with the injury prone label like the guy is never healthy. Thats just not the case at all.

I think Howie was trying to get Garrett on draft night. I think the Browns at that point in time didn’t want to trade him. So we then pivoted back to trying to get Greenard which i think they had a plan in place for a while, but it was they were gonna wait and see if they could get something done with the Browns first on draft night. At that point losing Phillips and not getting Garrett gave Minnesota some more leverage in the situation.Tbh, once you trade for him, knowing that he wanted an extension, you are in a bad spot if you don’t. he could play and prove it but also alternative he sits out and just doesn’t play. I wouldn’t suggest the latter but seen players do that before. I would add to this, because howie did it at that time, easier to get out of that contract after two years. Then if you would’ve waited and then gave him the extension.

His jumper has been off, he is less explosive, and he has also been hesitant. Last game he had like 3 shots blocked. Maybe 4?With no Edgecombe or Embiid, it was a game where you hope Brown is ready to step up and help Maxey shoulder the scoring load. Instead he had his worst game yet. But hes looked lackluster all season so far.One game he hit the buzzer 3. Another game he hit a few shots in the 4th to help seal it (after struggling most of the game) so he was at least clutch. But the overall body of work so far is disappointing. On that note, Simons sucks so far as well.

Lot of guys don't look too explosive on offense in early season. Brown on a back to back with all these minutes is not great. Not alarmed yet. But as Sixers fans we know how rare we win on these big trades in the last few decades. But no matter what, going from Oubre and PG to JB and a 102 year old LJ is still a breath of fresh air. We couldn't lose Maxey's prime without a fight.

I think when it got realistic, the Eagles called just to ask him what it would actually cost. when they saw the price it was a no go. Plus the fact that they made the move for Greenard, they were kind of out of it.

They did with Parsons and then Nelson who got traded today. Doesn’t necessarily mean they were significantly close to completing a deal though.
