Still waiting for some Howie tweaks to the roster. Shocked at no trades thus far. Most obvious potential trade is Dalton/McKee. But outside of that, still can see upcoming changes in the secondary, TE and OL. Also, surprised that Zion Wilson and Deontae Lawson have not been added anywhere. Almost too quiet!

I think there will definitely be moves but I also don’t think there’s a big rush. (Not that that’s a hot take or anything)

Goedert and Mundt are both going to be 32 during the season also. Best case scenario is Goedert stays relatively healthy and what you get is what you get from him while Stowers hopefully can play at some point later in the season.

I just said I think he’d be a more than capable reserve that could still be efficient in the passing game should Goedert miss time. He’s had very small sample sizes and opportunities with those QBs you mentioned but he’s pretty efficient with the opportunities he is given. Just last year with Lawrence as his QB, he had 9 receptions for 111 yards and a 12.3 YPC average. Not terrible given his limited usage. I’m saying I don’t think he’s a terrible backup and actually could be a good role player.

I didn’t suggest you did. I just don’t think he has the skill set to hold the fort down as TE1 if Goedert were to miss time. He’s had those chances in Minnesota when he played 40% of the snaps in 2022 and they opted to trade for Hockenson. Also in 2024 when Hockenson started on PUP he had more opportunities and played around the same snap percentage. He finished both those years around 140 yards.

I think he can be a good role player, but with his age and so far performance, I would worry if he was at the top of the depth chart is all. When you’re soon to be 32, there’s a reason those opportunities didn’t usually happen.

Fair enough, but how many of those 40% of snaps that he played in 2022 were passing plays? I’d say he was primarily blocking on those snaps and even if they were passing plays, I’d doubt he was the 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd read on the play considering he was the backup TE. In 2024 he was the 3rd TE on the depth chart. So his opportunities were limited. If something were to happen to DG, I trust Mundt with some Stowers sprinkled in to hold down the fort. I think CB/S depth is the position that is the most concerning

He said something recently that made me think he was a banned account too because it was history of the board that a new account wouldn't likely know

Was he the one that brought up the whole unban banned members? Maybe mods noticed and banned the account. Likely didn't help his chances at getting the older account unbanned

He was obviously a previously banned member. I called him out on it not long after he started posting and people tried to clown me for it. I've had him on ignore since.
