Let's see what the reason for Lane's absence before judging either way

Howie has fumbled this roster on so many different levels this year that is just unlike his previous standard. Each move gets sketchier than the last. Just a lot of head scratchers since cutdown day. It's quite possible we have a very good team, but don't know how to manage it. And will repeatedly shoot ourselves in the foot. It's all about the details. On another note, I sure wouldn't mind having Cameron Williams as backup tackle today.

Wicks is an ascending player and Lemon is a 1st round pick. This isnt Greg Ward is WR1 days. Hurts has some guys to throw the ball to. Cooper is probably Greg Ward level and he is WR3 for today.

I wouldnt expect everyone to do what Favre did. Im not sure there is any profession in the world that Id expect to do what Favre did.

Id feel pretty confident in Bell- IF he got to practice with the 1s all week. He probably didnt. Hes getting thrown in last minute. That could be rough.

Rams are pretty affected by injuries this week too. Id love to see the eagles find a way to win this and use it as a springboard.

I'd say so yea, I dont remember if that was his first year as a starter or if that was when he was doing the spot starts

It's not the first freaking time he's done this. You don't f your team an hour and a half before the game when F. Johnson is already out. It would be one thing if they had two healthy OTs but that's a dick move I don't care how lucky we are to have him.

I mean jalen reagor was agirst round pick, JJAW a second. I'm not saying lemon is as bad as them but I dont care when someone was drafted. He looks ok so far, he's on par with the 2019 group until shown otherwise.

Wicks is fine, but not a WR1. My point is this is the first game in a while (since apparently 2020) that Hurts has not had legitimate WR1 playing. It isn't going to be pretty

The positive here is we are going to have baptism by fire with a new offensive lineman today, that will let us know if he is close to ready and can be developed this year for next year. This OL needs some answers by the end of the year. Think he will perform well, given the circumstances.

But back to Howie, before this year even started, you should have deducted LD and CJ as being factors and gone heavy on the roster with the OL. And Lane Johnson was a question mark in his own right. That's probably his worst calculation, and then at the same time going 4 QBs and later with 7 WRs.

Guess what, when people die or get sick those next to them miss work. But it could be something else entirely.
