October 7Oct 7 The QB class is super deep, but no one has jumped out as generational yet. There are a bunch of guys with a ton of ability who will need to be coached up and haven't put it together yet. So there's risk there. The Eagles won't get the #1 overall pick, but if they did I'd take Jeremiah Smith. Teams that pass on superior prospects because they're desperate for QBs often end up regretting it. Smith is the best player coming out by far. If this season is a disaster and the Eagles get say the 4th pick, I'll be pleading with QB desperate teams at the top of the draft to all take QBs so we can scoop up Smith, who will be a first ballot HOFer.

There's probably 6 that could go within the top 40 picksMensah, Moore, Sellers, Mestemaker, Chambliss, Sayin, Moore, Manning are all potential first rounders. Not saying they're all 1st round great, just that they have the potential to be taken.

Mestemaker also. He could still be recovering from the injury last season

That’s a great return for a player who they might he behave moved on from anyway My guess is they were excited about Lampkin and the other young OLine players so they both get to play them and get a 2nd round pick ** But also this does signal selling, whether it is or isn’t. I tend to think it isn’t because it’s a great return. ESP lives off reaction. That's what he wants.

After last year, Howie was prepared to pull the trigger after 1 month if things still looked bad there. I think there was a black cloud on the OL with 3 guys who you just couldn't count on. Now that has been lifted.Nick: I'm starting Cam at LG again in LondonHowie:

Doesn't need the big arm, just needs the accuracy. Doesn't have to be fast, just athletic enough. I dont even need to spend all the picks to get up for a great prospect. Trading for Stetson Bennett next spring will do. Use the picks to get Jeremiah Smith.Bennett with Smith, Smith, Wicks, and Lemon will cook up the league like there is no defense on the field.

People may say no way but teams always give up more than you expect for QBs. Especially QBs who aren't old and have a winning pedigree.I'm not 100% sold on that though because based on polling, the way OCs turned us down, etc, it doesn't seem the league is all that high on him. But all it takes is one desperate GM who goes "This guy was great in multiple SBs, is still young, and is a champion... I can win with this"I don't think the hesitancy stems from the QB position. I think it's more to do with the reputation the front office has in how they run things.

Fans want coaches to rip players publicly to appease their rage. A coach should never rip a player publicly anyway. But when trying to trade a player, you hype him up!
