Excellent trade. Really sets us up for the future and really doesn’t hurt our chances at all this year either. I’m exciting to see what these young guys have. I wish they’d trade Steen next and let Morris play with them

I don’t know if you’ve been watching Texas this year, but Arch is shockingly mediocre. Like if his last name was Johnson he’s not a 1st round pick

If his name wasn't Manning he's a late round flyer or UDFA, his numbers and overall play aren't much different to Ewers so far and where did he go? 7th was it.

Not a fan? Carr is starting to climb the boards as well

No. He’s been terrible against top competition. He’s great against bottom feeders tho

Carr is intriguing…NIL and transfer portal has turned college into basically extended HS with how much it’s been watered down. Just line up your athlete against another and hope yours wins. So many of the ‘top’ guys i see are spot throwers and not able to throw with timing or true accuracy. Years ago i remember watching WR tape at Clemson and thinking how people thought Sunshine was the next coming of Luck/Elway. QB’s are horribly developed with stats inflated by short passes and screens. I know Chambliss is a hot name today, i don’t see it at all with him.

I saw carr make a layered throw over two defenders from the pocket on time with a dude in his face to the back of the end zone from just outside the 20 and said thats a top level nfl throw.

On time on point.

If he can consistently make throws like that I think that would transfer to the nfl where as like you say all these qbs that throw 40 screens a game and rush 15 times a game are just college offense qbs with great athletic ability.

The way the hashes are different in the nfl forces an nfl qb to actually be able to read a D and deliver a pass on time and on point instead of completing 40 wr screens to the wide side of the field

This. Fans want coaches to rip players publicly to appease their rage. A coach should never rip a player publicly anyway. But when trying to trade a player, you hype him up!

Howie on the phone with Baltimore:

Oh, Cam is excellent. We love him so much so it will cost you. How much do we love him? Here, let me show you:

A lot of hype is all it is to me. We’ve been down this road quite a few times over the past 10-15 years…’greatest QB draft ever’. ‘So deep’. Talent at the QB position NFL wide is at its lowest since probably the mid to late 90’s. We saw a couple years ago how overvalued a QB can be come draft time. Could go top 40 doesn’t mean they should go top 40. Richardson went 5 a couple years ago and he was undraftable based on tape.

Richardson was a major reach. It was clear he needed to stay in school to develop

The QB class is super deep, but no one has jumped out as generational yet. There are a bunch of guys with a ton of ability who will need to be coached up and haven't put it together yet. So there's risk there. The Eagles won't get the #1 overall pick, but if they did I'd take Jeremiah Smith. Teams that pass on superior prospects because they're desperate for QBs often end up regretting it. Smith is the best player coming out by far. If this season is a disaster and the Eagles get say the 4th pick, I'll be pleading with QB desperate teams at the top of the draft to all take QBs so we can scoop up Smith, who will be a first ballot HOFer.

I hate Ohio with almost all of my being…but Smith might be the best college WR since Fitz or Moss. He’s def helping Sayin or how ever you spell his name’s draft stock.

I was gonna say every time I watch Moore I always wind up thinking this guy is supposed to be a great prospect? He’s good but not as great as he’s made out to be. I don’t think he is anything spectacular. probably gonna grill on this, but every time I watch arch Manning I don’t look at him and be like man he’s a can’t miss prospect. I think he’s kind of overrated cause his last name is manning. I think he’s gonna be good. I just think he’s overrated about how good because his last name is Manning.

Mestmaker against oregon was more impressive to me when I saw that game.

I said someone's going to reach on him because he's like josh allen light version and they are going to hope he turns into him.

I like Sellers but he's had such a disappointing start to the season. He'll probably fall to the 2nd rd. Mestemaker also. He could still be recovering from the injury last season

Sellers an incredible physical talent but this is the second year in a row he was supposed to ascend but has disappointed.

I wouldn’t touch him in the first two rounds, and maybe not in the third either. Really, what’s the difference between Sellers and, say, Taylen Green? Green went in the 5th round of a weaker draft class.

I would prefer Mensah, but would be happy with either.

Raiola wouldn’t have been a first round pick if he stayed at Nebraska. He never looked half as good as he has this year at Oregon. I say that as a Nebraska fan who knew his dad a little bit during our time in Lincoln.

He never had the weapons at Nebraska. I only watched 2 Nebraska games last year. I thought he looked good. Just needed help

Those dead cap numbers don't square up with what was on Spotracs own website for his contract this afternoon.

Did you set it for trade instead of cut? Because that impacts how future option bonuses are handled.

If we are looking to replace Hurts we are one of the QB desperate teams plus next year our only backup is Cole Payton

He's playing the best of any qbs at the moment

1 minute ago, Godfather said:

Yup Richardson was an incredibly bad pick at 5, he had a cannon for an arm but his mechanics were awful and his accuracy suffered accordingly, going top 5 turned him into an entitled a-hole who expected to start or be traded too.

Goedert is playing Sunday. Looks like Quinyon will as well.

Don't think it will matter much who is playing honestly. At least on offense.

Get a good youngish backup with upside who already has some NFL coaching, and experience/success in a similar system to what we wanted to run this year. Order your Bennett jersey now.

Young and Bennett is an oxymoron…dudes in his 40’s.

What are the odds the ravens fail his physical like they did to Maxx Crosby and then this trade doesn’t get processed? Or maybe they felt bad about dealing us jaire Alexander and gave us a solid.

It was posted a couple of pages back that he already passed it.

Mia, AZ, Indy. Maybe Tenn and Atl?

28 and waiting for his opportunity to be a star.

Like his processing - I don't know about his arm, all-fine throwing bubbles and tunnels, but he doesn't do much outside the numbers.

If you can get Manning from the Ohio State 2nd half, then we hit gold.

I was on the Manning wagon a few years ago. Honestly hasn't lived up to the hype in college but I'd still take him. Esp right now that his stock dropped
