Hurts is here regardless in 2027. Contract allows for it. If we are picking high enough then i could see them doing so. However if they don’t in 2027 gives you the flexibility to draft or if a Qb becomes disgruntled elsewhere to Make that move.

Tbh I think they take a QB in the draft regardless. It’s just a matter of where.

Chambliss could be the number 1 qb off the board. Moore was the number 1 qb heading into the season. A horrible week 2 game and getting knocked out of the SC game with a dirty hit doesn't look good. He'll rebound

I had the feeling the one month interval, would mark change here. Glad to see they are acclerating the process and are proactive in weeding out this dead weight we have on the roster. I'm cleaning up the bottom 5-10 through out this year with an eye on the future. On another note, Mannion must have went bezerk after last week. Glad if he did.

You’re gonna have to sell me on Chambliss, there’s a lot to like, but at the end of the day i see a grown man who’s halfway to a retirement home already who is a midget the excels in a 1 to 2 read O. Good arm talent for sure, but IDK, I just don’t see it.

OK, was in meetings so just saw this. Howie must have magical powers when it comes to trades. I would have said we'd need to attach a premium pick to Jurgens to get that contract off the books - like Jurgens and a 3rd for a 5th or something. He was great in 2024, but he's been arguably the worst offensive lineman in the NFL this year. As @LeanMeanGM pointed out, we save a little over $1mm this year and costs an extra ~$6mm next year - taking $5mm in net cap charges (in a future year) to move up from the 7th to the 5th in 2027 and get a 2028 2nd...and the line likely gets better (it's hard for Lampkin to be worse than the worst lineman in the NFL) is unreal. The Ravens will owe him $16.5mm in guaranteed money next year. Honestly, I won't even be upset if the Ravens get him back to being a serviceable center - wish nothing but the best for Cam after he was a warrior during the SB run.

Guys, this doesn't mean we're selling and trading Riq, Ojomo or Nolan. This was highway robbery. I expect they will play the new starting 5 - Mailata, Kendall, Lampkin, Steen and Bell for the next few weeks and see if things stabilize. Just about anyone is an upgrade from what we saw from Cam at LG this season. If we keep losing, then we sell closer to the deadline (11/10). But we got a 2nd round pick and the team just got better in the short term as well. If it all goes to hell, we have 2 1sts and 2 2nds in 2028 to make moves and try to get a QB in 2027 or 2028.

I'm deliriously happy.

Could be. I’ve seen mocks having him all over the place in the first. From top Qb to like 15th pick. If the Eagles really suck and they’re already picking that high, I could see them trading picks and even players like they did wentz to get him.

Howie doesn't pull this off without Joe Douglas' help.
