October 7Oct 7 The younger OL and hopefully Goedert/Ertz combo at TE is kind of exciting.Offense has a chance to surprise this week unless Hurts just keeps sucking.

October 7Oct 7 Howie is drafting a QB this year, he was going to do that even without additional picks and even if Hurts and the offense improve. The backups suck and their contracts will be up. He will do what he did in the past (Hurts, Wentz, Foles, Reid drafting Kolb) and draft a guy to learn for a year and be the backup. If the 2027 pick works out and becomes the starter, great. He'll trade Hurts and acquire a veteran backup. If he's not the guy (or not yet), then he can still draft another QB in 2028 and they can compete, and either way he has a decent backup QB. Howie thinks years ahead not just the current season. He's not blowing this team up, but he is always looking to improve. The Jurgens deal was a no brainer. He has ammo to trade up in 2027, or keep the picks if they don't love this class or the guys they want get taken and they can't trade up. He has ammo and pieces to make moves as usual.I don't think he's going to sell a lot, but if there's another opportunity to acquire picks for someone like Nolan Smith I could see that. There's time before the deadline to see how the new OL is, how things look with injured guys coming back like Smitty, Goedert, Baun, etc. I'm sure Howie is exploring options but not desperate.

At his best he absolutely looks the part of a first overall pick, but you get that level of play maybe 25% of the time.

Not that he is old and maxed out. But, is he in the right system? Texas tends to produce WRs who are not NFL ready and dont develop. Is it a product of the offense that is not helping Arch develop?IDK, college is weird now. For the most part with this mercenary era, what you see is what you get. You can hope for development at the NFL for sure. That’s kind of the ironic part of the whole Arch thing, he’s staying in college to develop on the ‘normal curve’ or whatever phraseology they used. What is really being developed in college in any ‘system’.The NFL is starved for true star power at the QB position, so we’re going to get these hype cycles endlessly with college kids.

At least on offense.I am choosing to be optimistic until they go 3 and out. So, I imagine I will be pretty pissed at about 9:38 am on Sunday.

I don’t see a big move for a QB in 2027, but I definitely see us drafting a guy in the mid rounds. We have Cole Payton already who has some talent, we’ll add another guy and let them battle to see if there is starter potential. If they like what they see, great, otherwise in 2028 we have a ton of ammo to go get a franchise QB.

Not one of those runners who doesnt develop as a passer. And why Im bigly on the Stetson Bennett hype train right now. Has years of NFL coaching now in a great system.

NFL QB's need to be 6'2" at a minimum, and I would prefer 6'3" +.

Some guys just aren't the same players under a different scheme. I was a bit surprised Lane didn't retire after last season, and Jurgens' performance dictated he wasn't a fit for the current Eagles roster.Makes me wonder even louder if we'll see Dickerson on the field again.Don't think they are in any rush to bring back LD off of IR. Think he's due next week and then can stay another 3 weeks til they have to decide. Takes us into November. Things may look mighty different by then. Think he just stays there for year or retires. This is the time to see what they have. The talk of him retiring in offseason was real. Howie isn't getting caught off guard on anything here. Which is probably why they pulled the plug so fast once they saw he was shot.

Howie says he doesn’t want to trade Cam, makes up a ridiculous valuation that he knows will get Baltimore off his back, and the Ravens say, "deal.”I'm curious why Baltimore asked for an injured Jurgens instead of Mighty Mouse (Willie Lampkin). Maybe other GMs don't think as highly of Lampkin as this crowd? I won't be surprised now if we get to see him.

I also think it’s not realistic that he gets treated in the season. If you try to trade him pre-June 1 next off-season, it’s a disaster. It’s gonna screw with your cap and the dead money. The reality is he is here until likely 2028 assuming the offense continues down this path

Howie never should have given him that contract. Incredible trade.
