Bradberry and the defense failed him in his 1st Superbowl where a QB couldn't have played any betterhehHHH and he outshined a goat. No other teams he was on were good enough regardless of QB. It's all a moot point. Move on...Original post.Hurts was runner up for MVP of the league in 2022. They don't even get to that Superbowl game unless, maybe the actual MVP of the league is the starting QB himself. And Hurts outplayed Mahomes. So based on that, I repeat, Jalen Hurts has cost us exactly ZERO SUPERBOWLS to date. Thanks for your attention to this matter!

One that didn’t say the D played well and didn’t mention Hurts. A very open statement to counter a claim that the loss was all on the defense. Then someone made it into something that it’s not. Finally, you jumped in the middle trying to be the smartest in the room as usual. Look I’m not trying to be a d but wtf are you even arguing. You literally argue to argue sometimes. You don’t get points for winning the internet. Can't do it, can you? You can't possibly bring yourself to admit you tried to blame him for the loss when you said the fumble was just as much the reason for it, if not more. It's alright, we all have our moments.

Would you blame the defense exclusively or would you go into your deep pool of football knowledge and understand that TOs and STs was more than likely a huge deciding factor. Thats literally how this started. You’re just quoting and hanging onto stuff after it was twisted and turned into something it wasn’t. Literally go back to the beginning of the convo. Stop your straw man arguments. You can’t. You won’t.
October 10Oct 10 Starting to realize Manning is not the problem in Texas. These receivers suck. They get zero separation. Manning reading through those progressions and seeing nothing but a dump off

I’ve seen him from top 10 even top five all the way to the back end of the first round. I wouldn’t be surprised if he moves all the way up because I think teams are gonna like him. And at the same time, I wouldn’t be surprised if he winds up like Lamar Jackson, where he’s in the tail end of the first row.Chambliss looks like the same movie we’re already watching. Average arm strength, rolls out right a lot more often than staying in the pocket, not very tall. Arm strength might be a bit better, but intangibles likely not as good. He’ll also be limited.

But I can understand why other teams would use the intangibles that he has to fall in love with him and take him higher than he should go. seen mock drafts anywhere from like third overall all the way to the back end of the first round. Imo there’s gonna be a team that falls in love with him and spends the draft pick earlier than they should on him. I think he’s a 2nd round pick but him being a QB and some team loving him will see him go higher

Recs suck but when they open he does find them and has a nice accurate touch dropping it in. Looks 100x better than Hurts at this point.

I assume a couple people might give him a round 1 grade and most would say something outside of that.JMO. He’s a nice qb in his own right. Just not someone that would otherwise have this level of awareness.
October 10Oct 10 FWIW, I wouldn’t force a qb in 2027. Even aside from the Manning debate, the class is heavy on names and hype and light on really impressive prospects. If we are in round 4 and the depth pushes someone there (we have no 3rd round pick), then go for it. Otherwise, I’d look to 2028.

October 10Oct 10 I know we all hate Chip, but he has been diabolical with some of his play design and concepts this year at Northwestern.
October 10Oct 10 Someone posted here that Raiola was better than Moore. Wonder what he thinks about hurts

Otherwise, I’d look to 2028.That’s impossible to project considering the 2026 season isn’t even halfway finished. No one has much of a clue as to what the 2028 QB prospects will look like. From what I understand, we’re essentially stuck with Hurts through 2027. I’d imagine the plan is to draft a guy this offseason in hopes that they’re probably ready for 2028. There’s certainly ammunition to move up for a guy they like. Then again, we’ve proven we can win with Hurts if there’s a loaded roster. Last year the Seahawks won with a QB considered my most a bust and a loaded roster. Perhaps the plan should be just ride it out with Hurts for another 4-5 years and hope we hit on all these drafted picks like we did from 21-24.
October 10Oct 10 According to the Athletic regarding Lane Johnson still being on roster. Why the Eagles haven’t officially said goodbye to Lane Johnson — Philadelphia, meanwhile, still has not processed the paperwork on Lane Johnson’s retirement — that’s due to cap considerations, I’m told. Johnson announced Tuesday he was walking away from the game to focus on his mental health and spend more time with loved ones. The Eagles thanked him for his years of service, and I’m sure it’ll be a helluva party in Canton at some point in the 2030s. But there is still the matter of nearly $22 million. Johnson had a $21.7 million option bonus this season, with about half of it already paid and the other half due in December. The Eagles have the right to get back at least some of the money due to forfeiture. But it’s less about the cold cash and far more about the cap implications for 2027 and 2028, which had been assessed as manageable should he have been declared a post-June 1 cut next year. "They’ll figure it out easily enough,” one cap guru told me. "Just some accounting gymnastics, as all cap problems are.” One potential option is placing Johnson on the left-squad list. The designation sounds bad given Johnson’s stated reasons for retiring, but it would allow the team to clear the roster spot and preserve the cap hits in 2027 and 2028 as a June 2 cut. "They have to be careful about forfeiture,” a second cap guy said. "Asking someone of his stature and what he’s done won’t look good.” These are always delicate situations. The Indianapolis Colts didn’t force Andrew Luck to pay back the money he could have forfeited. The Detroit Lions did with Calvin Johnson and got the cold shoulder for years. And the Saints finagled a compromise with Derek Carr two offseasons ago to make his retirement fit their cap needs.

October 10Oct 10 Jalen Hurts will be the QB for 10 more years. He's on his way to his 4th NFC East division title, his 6th straight playoff appearance as he throws for 30+ TD passes this year despite all the injuries and the offensive line self destructing.
